I stay here often. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is well stocked with lots of choices and there is a manager's reception in the evening. Several restaurants are within a reasonable walking distance. The staff at this hotel really set it apart from others. Sherri and Erica treat you like family.
I stay at Comfort Suites often because I trust the brand. We are on vacation and were coming in from Colorado. We decided to make a last minute trip from Colorado to Kerrville and stopped in Lubbock. I found this hotel on the Choice Hotels website. I decided on this location because of the easy accesd off of Loop 289. When we checked in we were pleasantly surprised it had been renovated. The four post bed slept amazingly. The towels were plush and soft. We did not use the Jacuzzi tub but it was a nice touch. Another surprise was how close it was to a ton of great places to eat. If we come back through we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Sherrie Morris for being so nice and pleasant this morning!
Stayed 1 night on the way back home. Hotel showed it's age. We were given a room with a jacuzzi and it was ridiculous, with the jacuzzi in the corner of the bedroom there was not much room to move around in the room. Suggest taking the jacuzzi out of the room, I doubt if many people use the thing, it looked terrible in the room. By the way they are remodeling the motel, it really needs work.suggestion, do not give the TV remote to guest in the breakfast room. We had some jerk changing the channels without asking the seated guests in the room. Almost caused a situation.
I've stayed at this Comfort Suites for over 15 years for at least 30 nights per year. Several of the staff are almost like family. Manager Erica and chief hostess Sherri always greet with a big smile and inquiries about my family and new grandson. It is really nice to have consistent staffers who truly care about their customers. Stephen is a more recent addition, but he sees that whenever possible I am assigned my favorite room. The facility is always clean and neat, with full blown upgrades (paint, carpet, baths) on a regular basis. Complimentary soft drinks, beer, and wine in the evenings and a solid free breakfast combine to make this a truly "Choice" place to stay.
The front desk employees were nice and friendly and check-in was easy. I wasn't thanked for being a gold Choice member, but they seemed new and a little confused. Our room was on the second floor, but there is no elevator. That was not made clear when I made my reservation. Fortunately all I had was roll-aboard. I don't think I've ever seen a one queen bed suite before, but that was all I really needed. There was a nice work desk for my computer, but no chair! I noticed something was wrong with the bed when I laid down and discovered the mattress pad was upside down. I stripped the bed, flipped it over and it was much smoother after I flipped it. HVAC worked well, WiFi worked well, the shower was good, breakfast was very good. I can't really give it more than three stars due to the oddities, but I would stay here again.
I have a great experience when I stay at Comfort Suites in Lubbock. One reason for this is the excellent service by Sherrie. She is always so helpful and goes out of her way to be helpful and ensure our stay is a great stay. Great customer service by Sherrie. We will stay again. Kim
Fourteen nights straight in a variety of hotels during a 4,000 mile road trip. Great property for our final night on the road. Hotel was built prior to the cookie cutter model currently used by Choice Privileges. Rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. They even provided excellent dinner recommendations that kept us out of the chain offerings. Hotel provided the usual amenities, including a roomy breakfast area with a better than average breakfast.
Fantastic customer service by all of the staff. At check-in was greeted by Sherrie Morris, the Guest Services Clerk. Ms. Morris was extremely courteous and polite during the check-in process and presented me with a snack bag upon learning I was a Guest Privileges member. The next afternoon she addressed me by name when I entered the lobby and that was impressive. This is an older hotel but the rooms are clean and staff is very attentive. I frequently travel to Lubbock and this is my 'go to' hotel. Parking is limited so if you are pulling a trailer check it out before entering. Breakfast is always great.
Sherrie at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. She helped me checked in quickly and provided me with all necessary information. I called to report that the TV remote control was missing. In less than a minute, Sherrie came to my room with a remote control and set it up. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and will definitely stay there in future.
Had a very enjoyable stay!!! Stephen's customer service was exquisite! He was very knowledgeable about the area when i needed directions. I forgot a few items and he was happy to help me out! I WILL stay here again!!!
