If first impressions are everything then this place is the STUFF! Front desk help were better than family friendly! Very attentive! Justin and Sherry were great! Frequent quests had a repoire with the staff that was so nice to see. Pool area needs a little work. Our room was missing a towel rod. But updates were in progress. I will stay here again when in Lubbock.
This is an older property without an elevator but we knew that before we booked. We did request a bottom floor which was graciously provided. Stephen, is truly a great asset to this property and if we (as a family) decided to buy a hotel in Lubbock, he is the one I would pursue in a heartbeat for a GM role. His willingness to answer questions and his overwhelming Customer Service is truly above and beyond what it takes to excel in this business. Small issues in the room but nothing to whine about. Great location and great night stay. Thank you Stephen.
I want to give a shout out to Sherrie and Angelo for their help during our recent stay. We were in Lubbock for our son's college graduation and needed to check in early in order to get ready. Even though they had a full house the previous night, they worked extra hard to get our rooms ready early so we could change for the graduation ceremony. They also made sure our three rooms were in the same hallway and on the ground floor because my elderly father was with us. They provided EXCELLENT, PERSONALIZED service!!!!!!
Quick night stay driving through from Colorado to Orange Tx. Bed was uncomfortable room was clean except a rag over the smoke detector. Room was hot at first but very cool in the morning. Decent breakfast
Hotel was very clean and cozy. Plenty of room for us and helpful staff. Enjoyed the cookies and the snacks in the lobby around 5pm. We like to stay here on our trips to Lubbock for our medical appointments.
This hotel has been our stop in Lubbock for years but our recent stay will probably change that. The staff was friendly enough at the desk, the breakfast room staff seemed to concentrate on a conversation with a coworker. The hotel has become worn out and run down. The hallway carpet seems to be fairly new but walls, doors and trim are scratched, damaged and generally need attention. One wall had what appeared to be a repair but lacking a finish coat of paint. The rear hallway door was not locking itself so anyone could enter without a room key. The carpet in our room was worn and in need of a good vacuuming. The sofa cushions were very worn. In fact, the sofa was in need of a replacement. The outlet receptacle on the lamp on my side of the bed would not power my phone charger. This is a great location but the hotel has seen better days.
Nice room, clean and on the ground floor as requested. Breakfast was excellent, hot foods were hot and delicious. With more than half of our drive ahead of us, we appreciated having the food available at the posted time. No complaints from either of us. It was a very comfortable, restful stopover.
Clean room, great breakfast. We were there for a concert and had a great experience. It was a great stay for the price. Will stay here again for future events. Staff was friendly and accommodating. ...
The afternoon reception in the lobby was welcoming. There was no elevator to our second floor room but that was no big deal since we didnt bring our bikes this trip. The immediate area seemed sketchy but under the highway closer to the mall seemed nicer & safer. The room was small but seemed clean. Internet service wasnt reliable during our visit. Outdoor pool is small but seemed well maintained.
First the good. Stayed on the second floor at end of long hallway, which is not a problem for me (including no elevator). I enjoy being far away from the center of activity and like using stairs. The staff was pleasant and inviting. It was a two bed unit with a small sofa. The beds were comfortable with two types of pillows: soft and firm. The breakfast is excellent with scrambled eggs, tasty sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, waffles, choices of coffee and plenty of bread choices including bagels and donuts, but I did not see any muffins. The room was clean and fairly well maintained. The shower water temperature was consistent. There is no lid on the toilet. Regarding nearby dining, there is a buffet right next door then other choices are a sports bar, wings, Italian, chicken sandwiches, Mexican cantina and cafes, all in varying degrees of walking distance. There are some other choices including barbecue but they across the highway and not easily accessible. The parking lot is not well maintained and dirty. The mini-sofa squeaked which annoyed the son trying to sleep. Views? No views. Did not use the pool but it is fairly small and could use some updating. It was a mix of quiet and slightly noisy, especially in the morning when it appeared some of the housekeeping staff had their young children on site who were climbing up and down the stairs and just generally being kids. I would stay here again.
