I arrived very late and was greeted by the night porter who was very helpful to me, clearly I was very tired. The room was old but comfortable enough, it could do with a refresh to be fair. Breakfast was fine, selection was small but adequate. Location was down by the river, nice location. I would probably stay there again.
Good location but bathroom had a smell and breakfast didn't have much variety. We were quite disappointed, wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel. However, staff were friendly and hotel had a quiet atmosphere.
Very clean, good breakfast and close to the grotto. We will always stay at this hotel. To get a good rate book online and register as an Accor member. Staff are very helpful and professional. The hotel has a shop on the ground floor l find the religious goods are of better quality and reasonably priced.
It is a very good place to stay. Close the Basilica Of the N.S.of Lourdes, several restaurants, cafes, shoppings. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast with several things and of the good quality
Mildew in the bathtub and signs of water damage in the bath. Room was very small and there was no room to put the second suitcase. We ate in the dining room for both dinner and breakfast and the food was below average.
For the last 15 years bar last year we have stayed at the Mercure during our stay at Lourdes. The staff were always professional, friendly and welcoming; the food was great so much so that we really looked forward to our next stay. In fact we had recommended this hotel to some of our friends and they all enjoyed their stay at the Mercure. This year we decided to take the whole family including our grandchildren. What a disappointment! We were met at reception by what seems to us to be troubled accountants or by receptionists with Botox injected in their faces. Not a smile on their faces! Maintenance of the hotel did not seem to be a priority. When we informed reception that the stained toilet seat was very loose we were told that it would be recorded. In fact it was not repaired during our stay. The slotted basin waste sink drain was missing from the sink, hence it would have been very difficult to retrieve your dentures if they were accidentally dropped in the sink. No proper cups for drinks were available in the room - just 2 small thin paper cups were left (the ones available at McDonald's are of better quality) On our first day we decided to eat at the hotel - we waited over 25 minutes for our meal (there was only 1 waiter who was rushed off his feet) . Judging by the "food" that we got I can assume that there was only one worker in the kitchen - a trainee cook. The food was cold, uninviting, tasteless. As there was nothing on the menu for our son in law fas he is vegetarian, we asked whether he could have some pasta prepared for him. Sure enough he got it - cold sticky pasta (one lump) and a lump of cheese on it! When he asked for some sauce for the pasta he got something like a watered down packet soup! Breakfast was not much good neither. The meat and the cheese was on the same serving dish. Not ideal for vegetarians! There were no cups and saucers - just mugs. The stained ceiling of the dining room and the lack of staff made the situation worse. In my view this hotel is no longer a 4 star - it has been dragged down to a 3* or even a 2* +. What a contrast to what it was a couple of years ago. The director or manager of the hotel was often around interacting with the clients; it was fully staffed and we looked forward to dine at the hotel in the evening. Now it would appear that it is full of disgruntled clients! Not surprisingly the staff members who have been working at the mercure are no longer there bar one who still works in the dining room. We would like to thank her for being helpful and cheerful. Our thanks also to the lady cleaner whose name we forgot (She is from Hungary) Herve and the other waiter. Sadly we will no longer stay at that downgraded hotel again - as they say all good things come to an end!
We chose Hotel Mercure Imperial without any recomendation and it was an excellent choice for the price, the comfrotable rooms, variety in the breakfast and above all the excellent location; a few steps from the Pont Veux, restaurants and the Grotto Avenue that takes you to the Lourdes Sanctuary in less than 10 minutes walk. The recepcionists speaks english, spanish, italian etc. and all of them with a very gentle manners. Very recommendable ! no issues at all...
Loved that they had their own parking right at the rear. Did not mind paying 15€ per day for the convenience. Easy walk to the Sanctuary with heaps of souvenir shops and cafes enroute. Very friendly front desk staff. Small but comfy room.
Very conveniently located . The Lourdes Grotto is just a 5 Minutes walk*.Excellent hotel with very friendly multilingual staff. Good choices for breakfast ,Rooms are very clean and spacious. Highly recommended to anybody .
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this hotel and actually extended my stay by one night. Reception member Monique was a standout with respect to her service and helpfulness. My room had a balcony which looked over the river which was delightful. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is in the heart of things and just around the corner from cafes and places to eat, and very close to the bridge across the river where most of the restaurants are located. It is about a 10 minute walk to the sanctuary. I generally prefer to stay at a hotel chain as you know in advance the level of amenity you are going to receive. This is an Accor hotel. I would recommend having breakfast outside of the hotel, it is a cheaper and more enlivened option. I would definitely recommend Mercure Lourdes.
