Mercure Lourdes Imperial4.0 out of 5.0

My family spent 3 nights in lourdes before heading to Paris. On quite street, close to santuary, good service, clean and good breakfast. Parking right by river in front of hotel. (Cheaper than hotel) Nice staff
Excellent hotel with very nice furniture .Good restaurant with very efficient service. A little noisy because of large groups of guests leaving at all hours of the night. Only let down by the provision of paper cups and wooden sticks to make tea and coffee .Extremely poor in a 4star hotel and Mercure should really rethink this.
We were in Lourdes for two nights and were pleased with our stay at the Mercure. The hotel is older, but well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms tend to be on the basic side, but the dining rooms and reception rooms are very well decorated and comfortable. Close to the Sanctuary, but not "in the thick" of everything, it's just a nice amble. My only mild complaint was that there was only one server for dinners--yes, it was near the end of the season, but it caused quite a bit of waiting. She was very genial and competent, but two servers would have been more efficient. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, and I recommend this hotel.
The hotel itself was clean and accommodating. It also was very close to the Sanctuary. We ate breakfast and dinner there. There were two people who basically did all the work in the dining room. A woman and young man who worked tirelessly to wait and serve. They never stopped moving. Breakfast was better than dinner. At dinner, we were served soups which were not the best. The last night it was just beef broth and very thin noodles, tasteless. The dinners were very disappointing.
the hotel is average .it is in a walking distance from every thing in the city. the room was medium size and clean. breakfast was a little poor and the menus dinner was not to good. nothing to talk about.
Location is just perfect to see all tourists attractions.hotel is very nice included service at hotel only thing should be improved is parking which is not clearly marked and there is no way to unload bags.too bad that town is totally oriented towards tourists which don't care about quality of food not to mentioned price
This hotel is so close to the Sanctuary & our room had a nice view of the river & the mountain. The room was also very comfortable for 3 adults. There were also lots of restaurants & cafes around the area
Location was close to Sanctuary about a 10 minute walk. Room was nice and clean but air conditioning dripped the entire time. Food was okay for our group breakfast was very basic. Overall, a very good experience.
Got in late and didn't notice that the room we were assigned had a handicap shower. Taking a shower became a learning experience. Food was okay and the hotel is located very close to the shrine. The air conditioning unit dripped all the time it was on. We put a towel under the drip but within an hour it was saturated. I reported the problem to the desk the first morning we were there but nothing was done about it.
This hotel was suggested to us by our Belgian friends. It has parking in back, but we did not have a car. It is walking distance to Shrine and other sights. We were able to pop back to drop off packages or for a short rest. Rooms are small. We ended up asked no for a triple so we would have a couch to sit on. Rooms very clean and look recently redecorated. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Breakfasts were good, European. Had dinner one night at hotel. Very good. A good recommendation.
