Who needs more? We made a reservation the day before arriving in Tarbes for Nex hotel for one night. Upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised by the areas surrounding the hotel numerous restaurants, bars, cinema and even bowling alley. Entering the hotel we were greeted by very friendly receptionist who answered numerous questions about where to eat and what to visit - a great source of information. The rooms are very simple but extremely clean and convenient, the beds were very comfortable, breakfast was perfect and the staff very friendly -we would have nothing to criticize on this hotel. We were so satisfied we decided to stay a second night at this hotel! Not to be missed if you need a comfortable and pleasant stay in Tarbes!
A very good modern hotel. We have stayed here a number of times when attending the Jazz festival at Marciac. It is always clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and pleasant. Onsite parking is good. Would recommend it and it is in a good location for getting out and about.
We stayed only for one night and it was great! Really comfortable and clean! Small but modern! We are picky on where to stay and we would definitely recommend this hotel! Price was really good for the quality!
We spent one night in this new modern hotel on our way to Bordeaux. We were very pleased with the room, the air conditioned was on when we arrived, the room was clean and comfortable with satellite channels, coffees and teas, a comfy bed, etc. The breakfast was really good, simple buffet with high quality products. We booked this room just to crash, next to the train station on our way to Bordeaux but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the place. Also even though the hotel is very close to the railway line, the trains stop through the night so it didn't bother us.
Good hotel for stop off in tarbes comfortable clean room eating places very close by Free parking and wi fi included Breakfast at extra cost if required Room was quiet excellent shower Would stay again....
We stayed here for one night en-route from Andorra to San Sebastian. When we arrived, it felt like we were staying at a disused industrial site, a bit derelict. The modern hotel was fine - rooms very compact and clean. I thought it was a little strange to pay upfront, as we arrived - I've never had to do this before, especially as the booking was guaranteed with Booking.com. We had continental breakfast and this was fine. In the evening, after we had returned from an evening trip to Lourdes, we noticed further along the road some nightlife - it turned out to be an sort of out of town entertainment area with bars, restaurants, etc, so was not as isolated as we originally thought. We found a nice bar for a nightcap.
Easy to find modern hotel behind the main station in a really pleasant area of Tarbes. Free parking and fast wifi along with very friendly staff. Stayed here for a couple of nights in mid Jul. Staff really flexible, putting breakfast on early for me (excellent by the way) and very helpful with local area deals. Close to big cinema and a number of lively cafe bars and restaurants all within 5 mins. Room was perfectly clean, comfortable bed, strong air con too. Layout a bit odd with the shower room separated from the bedside by a curtain, but a good shower with reasonable towels. My room backed onto the railway lines but sound proofing is good so no real issue. I'd come back.
I asked my company to book me a room at the Rex hotel but discovered upon arrival that the hotel was full and that my room had been booked at the Nex hotel a sister hotel. It is a new, much simpler hotel which is OK if all you need is a good bed and a good shower. There is a busy bar 50 yards away on the same side of the street where we had a drink on a Thursday night. The room are very clean and staff really nice.
…and its lying employees too. And no, that’s not hyperbole. It’s actually an understatement of my opinion. Here’s why. On January 26, 2014, I booked July 22nd and July 23rd at this hotel not long after the Tour de France published its routes for 2014. I knew that Tarbes would fill up on those dates due to the Tour, and I did not want to be forced to find a disgusting dive or sleep in my car. Hotels.com sent me e-mail indicating that my reservation was confirmed, and that all I had to do was show up and enjoy my stay. It didn’t work that way. The attractive young woman at the desk first claimed that she could not find my reservation. Then, when I produced a copy of the message from Hotels.com, my reservation was miraculously found but I was told that there was a problem with “my room” in that it did not have electricity. That bears a bit of emphasis. Only one room in the hotel -- my room -- did not have electricity. Oh, and they were fully booked so they already had made me a reservation at another hotel, the Ibis Budget. Interesting that they already had made me a reservation at the Ibis Budget given that they earlier had denied that I even had a reservation at their hotel. We took the room at the Ibis Budget. We were given “the last available room” at the Ibis Budget. It smelled horribly and the floors were dirty, but we had no choice. It was that or sleep in our car, as Tarbes was just as full as we expected it would be when I reserved these rooms last January. So much for foresight and planning, eh? In sum, the “guarantee” provided by Hotels.com was worthless. Nexhotel overbooked and then arbitrarily dumped my reservation. Then, knowing I was helpless to do anything about being dumped, the attractive young woman at the front desk looked me in the eye and told such an outrageous lie about why I had been dumped that it was clear they did not care a bit that I knew they were lying to my face. They not only treated me like I was stupid, they rubbed my nose in it. As I noted, the title to this review is not hyperbole. It is an understatement. The owners and managers of this establishment are, and their children will be, the offspring of curs.
Stayed here with a group of friends on a motorcycle tour to Spain, done Pau a few times so looked for an alternative prior to crossing the Pyrenees, good choice. Modern hotel (not on Garmin yet) with friendly service, small but nice rooms, good beds and a wet room). No bar to speak off but very close to a cinema, restaurants and a couple of bars (at least it stops you having too much and driving next day). Linked restaurant was very good.
