La Quinta Inn & Suites Louisville Airport & Expo

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Clean, friendly and close to the airport. The shuttle to the airport starts at 5.30. I had to be at the airport at 5.00. No problem: a staff member took me to the airport. That is how friendly these people were to me.

Nice and quiet... provided me with a baby bed even... thank you

The staff was very helpful and friendly. No problems whatsoever. Look forward to staying there again.

Had to find a room in Louisville due to weather canceling my return flight. Good rate and extremely friendly staff. Quick to/from and I was happier here than at the Holiday Inn Express at the Expo Center which charged more for a smaller room without as good as features and then charged me $9 for the standard food that most hotels include. Guess they are trying to act "upscale".

Great breakfast and larger rooms than I expected.

We stayed at 3 La Quintas in a row...they were not bad. Great value for the money. Would definitely stay at another La Quinta

Daughter in for surgery, nice to have a comfortable room to recharge in.

Great Stay!! The rooms were nice, and the breakfast was delicious.

We needed pet friendly hotel for our 6# Maltiese dog and this was perfect. We drove about 3 miles to Bardstown Road for dinner. Tons of great restaurants and bars many with pet friendly outside dining.

Uncomfortable beds and pillows and too much noise can be heard from hallway traffic.

I am in a hotel every weekend and almost never get a staff this good. Fantastic people.

No heater in the bathroom. But over all it was great

The hotel was comfortable and relatively quiet. Breakfast was your typical hotel fare. The beds were very comfortable. Location not the prettiest, but it met our needs. Staff very friendly.

Had a wonderful stay at the LaQuinta Hotel. Very clean and courteous

Stayed three nights during the KY Derby - party of four (40's) in two rooms. Easy access from the highway. Fairly close to Churchill Downs. They have a shuttle that runs to and from the Expo center continuously on KY Derby and Oaks days. From the Expo center, you can catch a shuttle bus to and from Churchill Downs for $15 each per day. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Housekeeping was friendly, flexible, and responsive. Late night front desk person on the night before the Oaks did not know what the hotel shuttle situation was in the morning and got temporarily frustrated/annoyed at questions. She followed up with manager on the inquiry later, as promised, and let us know early in the morning. A nice gouda cheese and crackers with a cutting board and cheese knife set greeted each room as a welcome gift. Shuttles were timely. Continental breakfast included waffles, eggs, sausage, country gravy - nice. Was a good amount of seating for breakfast and the attendant was constantly replenishing and maintaining area. Complimentary copies of the local paper (even on Sunday) and USA Today were both available at the front desk. The local paper (Courier Journal) has excellent coverage and analysis of the races. Parking was ample. Rooms were clean and comfortable with safes, bar sinks, and mini fridges. There was good shower pressure and hot water. Mattresses are a bit firm and planes taking off and landing at night kept some in the party from a sound sleep. Laundry facilities were available in the hotel, if needed. Guests were mostly well-dressed for the races. I'd definitely recommend the hotel. It's well-run, well-appointed, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs for the planes, however.

Close to the airport and with everything you can want.

Would recommend this location if you need to stay near the airport. Took a cab from the airport to the hotel, only a couple of minute ride. The only downside was the mattress, it was very very firm.

I had a pleasant stay, it was quiet and clean. I would stay again.

This hotel was right off of the interstate and very easy to get to.

our bath was in bad contion, not dirty, only the water faucets was in a very desolat contion!!! and the air in the room was very bad, like dirty socks in the nice kitchen the equipment (plates, knives, forks, cups, and bowls) was non-existent,only in paper and plastic
