We stayed here for a concert at the Yum center. They were very efficient in getting us checked in. Or room was facing the river with a balcony and had a great view. The room itself was huge, we had a suite. The lock on the door was falling off and the carpet needed to be fixed as it had buckled in the living room area. the beds were comfy though. Everyone was very nice. loved the walkway to the concert!

The Galt Hotel is in a great location in downtown Louisville. We booked our room through Orbitz and got a better package price on the room and airfare. We got a balcony/river view room, but were surprised that the room turned out to be a suite. It had a full bath in the bedroom and a half bath in the living area. The views from both rooms and off the balcony were fantastic. Rooms ending in 03 have the best view. We enjoyed our stay and having a suite was great. The hotel is old, but they work hard at keeping things as fresh as possible. Our bathroom had been updated and the furniture in the living area was new. Housekeeping leaves a bit to be desired. They seem to rush in and rush out and pretty much make the beds, empty trash cans, and replace towels. On one of our 4 days they didn't clean the room at all. We called housekeeping and someone came to clean. The Rivue restaurant on the 25th floor is very nice and has a revolving section with great views. Did not care for the duck, the lamb was delicious, and the pork shank was good. They have the Magnolia Cafe on the 2nd floor. We ate breakfast there once which was good, but would recommend Dish on Market (a short walk and the same "better" breakfast is $5.00 cheaper). The Conservatory is a great place to sit, relax, meet new people, have a drink and/or a bite to eat. They serve food 24 hours a day. We flew in and used public transportation so do not have any comments on valet parking We would stay her again!

Hotel was right in the middle of all the best places to eat and hang out. We loved staying there, rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing I would change next time is staying on a lower floor because sometimes the elevator took a while. Also the deli that is open 24hours is fantastic with awesome, friendly staff!!!

Room had a great view of the river. Bars and restaurants were excellent, helped pass the time on a rainy day when we were stuck inside the hotel.

The Galt House is located in the perfect spot for people who want to park their car and walk or cab it to attractions and restaurants.

Great place to stay close to downtown Fun bar it has fish in it

This hotel was a true bargain, especially on Memorial Day Weekend. I was planning on spending a lot more for a lot less oomph, but was happy to find this bargain on Orbitz. One thing I would warn future guests about is the "hidden" costs. Parking is $20.00 per night, and although they warn you about this when you make a reservation, it still comes as an unwelcome surprise. The hotel bar, while convenient, is exorbitantly expensive, as is the breakfast buffet. All that said, I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place but didn't expect to have to pay $20 dollars to park in the hotel parking garage.

It was ok, it served the purpose, but it needs some renovations.

Unfortunately, Sunday evenings are poor nights to visit due to many businesses and restaurants are closed.

The staff allowed an extremely late check in and allowed us to sleep in due to our long travel. Amenities are excellent and staff is the best.

A , weekend getaway. Love the facility on the riverfront. Had fun at the 4th Street venue. Will definitely be returning!

Great Roof Top Pool. Easy walk to 4th street. Enjoyed a bats game during our visit

I am not sure when or what this hotel has that makes it unique but the name, the horse outside that salutes the past Jockey winners, Al J's bar does have fish underneath you, And all the conference facilities. But it's been a while since this place was nice. My room was across the street opposite Main Lobby. Nothing online of the pictures looks like my room. My room is pathetic for this price etc. It smells old and dusty. Worn out closet doors and looks like mobile home quality materials, yuck bathrooms. I've stayed at better Best Westerns than this place. Like an old Holiday Inn from the 1990's. Never renovated. Bathtub nasty. I stayed at The Seelbach before a while back it's old but at least it had some character to the rooms and a story behind the lobby and basement. The only thing that saved me tonight thinking about sleeping in my room are the Martinis at Jeff Ruby's steakhouse adjacent to this twin Hotel tower of Yuck. 28$ for valet $20 self park. Whatever Seriously disappointed Jeff Ruby's a must stop. Awesome Atmosphere! Luckily it has nothing to do with the hotel.

was in town for concert, excellent location. connected to the concert hall... 24 hour pizza place for those late night guest..

Great location downtown on the river. Great friendly staff. Easy parking with in and out. As clean as it can be with it's outdated rooms. Needs new decor and carpet with some updates to bring it into the new century. It does have an old classic feel though. Would stay again.

We enjoyed the hospitality of this hotel. Spent time one evening at the Jockey Silks bar and enjoyed the friendliness and bourbon knowledge of the bartender, Carnell. Wonderful visit.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, everything was perfect.

For the price, I'd pay it again for the conveniency of the yum center and being on fourth street. However for anything else I wouldn't. No free breakfast, no other ameneties.

Staff great Room super Dining options varied and over the top Dragging luggage through the bar. Not so hot.
