When I booked for my friends and I for my 30th birthday celebration I was under the impression we were in Cabo, in fact we were in San Jose. Nothing wrong with this area, but there is not much at all to do. We rented a car and traveled each day to go to Cabo and visit the beach and Mangos where there were more people our age partying. The food at this resort was not so great, so we also ate out a lot and didn't get our full monies worth of the all inclusive package. I wanted to hear more authentic music, this was barely played on the RD resort. Overall it was okay, but not what we were looking for.

Spend 7 days Xmas 2016. 1st time is San Jose, 2nd visit to Cabo. Smaller Facility. Room was just fine. Bed was a bit hard. Didn't sleep well, but that's just a personal preference. I'll get my only complaint out of the way. It's LOUD! There's just reason for all the music, announcements, and entertainment to be that LOUD. Even the overhead music was overdone. It's breakfast, you're playing Xmas music, just let it be background music. It was a little unnerving, There's is a "show" almost every night in the middle of the complex. The shows were very professional and entertaining. However, there is NO WAY anybody in the resort could be asleep through that. They usually end about 10:00. But I'm 50 and on vacation. If I want to go to bed earlier, PLEASE LET ME. Ok, that's out of the way. The rest of the resort is truly awesome. We stayed at RIU Santa Fe last trip. The food here blew them away. 1 buffet and 1 restaurant. Restaurant is nice and right on the beach. Same menu all week, but the food was excellent. And the buffet was just as good. This place seems to draw a lot of Mexican Nationals, so I think the food is catered that way. Classic Mexican. Wife and I both put on 6-7 pounds. It was pure bliss! The staff is also outstanding. In 7 days, all we encountered were warm smiles and great service. If they turn the music down, we'll be back!!

The ordeal started with waiting an hour and a half to check in to the hotel after already arriving late at 4 pm after waiting 2 hours in customs. After checking in we asked if we could possibly get a dinner reservation at their restaurant since we were hungry and wanted a sit down dinner and not an already crowded buffet. The front desk told me to contact the service manager (Jesus) who took 30 minutes to get down to the lobby. When I asked him about the reservations he informed me that he could not do today and can do tomorrow for reservations, when I told him about the long check in experience and the packed buffet he told us no in a very rude way and I informed him that I will probably change hotels. He said that's fine, and hed be happy to help me change hotels. He then looked at me and said, "so you're really changing hotels because i didnt get you a reservation? that's sad" He then threatened to call the police on me after I raised my voice after his blatant disrespect toward me and my girlfriend. After I asked for the hotel manager he said he was the hotel manager. I asked the hotel desk and they said he was not. After I asked for the hotel manager they said he was too busy to speak with me and that an assistant would come. After waiting for the assistant to come and repeatedly asking for the manager the assistant told me the manager wasn't on the property but he could get me a restaurant reservation. They clearly did not care if I stayed at the hotel.

The food here is good. You can't beat the service and price. If you're a millionaire, stay someplace else. If you're looking for a nice hotel, friendly service and lots of sun, book here.

The Decameron was great! The staff were all very friendly and provided excellent service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was what I expected and the drinks were cold and refreshing! I did not purchase the wifi so I cannot really comment it. We arrived 3 hours before check in and they gave us our wristband and let us go enjoy the food and drinks while we waited for our room to be ready. The entertainment in the pool area throughout the day and each evening was fantastic and the views from the adult only pool are spectacular!

Not going to Lie... I did expect a better experience. At the time the price per night was just a bit lower then other places so i thought i would take a chance. Not as big as I thought it was going to be but the employees were very good and respectful.

Hotel is located on the beach close to the mega mart. Rooms are clean, would be nice to have a bathroom door. No spa and pool could have been a little warmer. 1 a la carte restaurant, need to make a reservation early to get in. The entire staff(especially Raul) was excellent.

Staff attention was pretty good. The Hotel is good and clean, very pleasant experience. The food was really good and the service was excellent. We would go back in a second.

Clean room, great location. Friendly staff. Food is OK. Nice beach and pools.

Great resort for the price. Excellent location on a beautiful beach. Only downside is hotel is a bit noisy.

Decent hotel experience with very good staff as far as bartenders....wish the Wifi was free and there was 24 hour options for food

Pros: staff was friendly/attentitive and hotel was beautiful. Theres a Shopping center right accross w/ Starbucks , subway, and Mega store. Cons: hotel is 30/40 min away from Cabo san Lucas, it's a no swimming beach, room was noisy and had no view, they close the swimming pools early and the food is only available during certain times. There is a fee for wifi and to use the safe.

Where can you get an all inclusive for $150 for the ROOM? That's $75 each for hotel, food and drinks. The buffet food was great. The lunch at the pool was fine. Every day around 5pm a guy would come by with his horses. He took us for an hour ride on the beach for $25.00. It was awesome. For this price you can still afford to have dinner at one of the restaurants in town. They had a couple of shows at night that were put on by locals that did a good job. This town is not wild like Cabo but there is plenty to do. Big Mike's catamaran was a great deal too. We will go back.

I cannot rave too much about this all-inclusive resort... it was close to perfect! The bed was too hard, but we noticed that on the day we left the hotel they were starting to replace all the mattresses, so that's probably not an issue for future bookings! The entertainments were just right - not too noisy, not too quiet, but always fun. Great band, dancing, a salsa lesson, nice little 'discotheque' (night club!), great pools, great food, friendly residents and staff... I could go on and on. Slightly limited on the cocktails menu (about 10), but still great choice of drinks at any of the bars. Safe location, within walking distance of a bank, a small shopping mall and a huge supermarket. Last year we stayed at another resort slightly further along the beach and while we loved that one, we had to admit that Royal Decameron was much nicer. Great value - we would love to return with our family next year if possible! THANKS!!! =)

Great experience at Riyal Decameron. Perfect place for those who are just looking for a beautiful place to stay while still keeping a budget in mind.

The hotel should allow guests to enjoy their vacation 24/ 7. It makes no sense to stop towel service at 5pm and not allowing anyone in pool after 7. It makes no sense to close the entry to upstairs lounge area( with caution tape ! ) at 7pm. Also the menu at restaurant should change. And not just every 7 days as guests do get bored taking in consideration that there is only one restaurant on site besides buffet. This hotel could be great if they only be more vacationer friendly and meet expectations that are customary in all other hotel.

We had amazing time, the staff were all amazing. We would go again.

Booked this place with some friends and we had a blast. Resort was literally right next to the beach with adjacent pools. Since it was all-inclusive, we did not have to worry about food or drinks. great place to relax and enjoy and work on your tan. Will definitely be back!

Staff is friendly and courteous. During our stay we stayed at the hotel and enjoyed ourselves at the beach, pool (did the pool aerobics- which Hugo did a great job in conducting it and making it fun), and did some traveling to Cabo and el Centro. The food at the resort was good, although i would recommend more Mexican authentic food. When i compare this trip to my Cancun trip, the hotels i stayed in offered free Wifi and instead of charging for the personal safe box I had to pay a deposit which was returned at the end of my stay. It would be nice to offer free Wifi or at least a couple of hours during the day for people to promote the resort through the use of pictures. More activities throughout the day throughout the various places of the hotel would of been ideal. I personally did not know of the pool table until my last day. Maybe playing music in the lobby and allowing for dancing and having the bar open maybe until 10:30 - 11 would be nice.

My husband and I went for one week. The Hotel was clean and the food good. Liked the access to the beach area and Adults only poolo section. It is smaller than many all inclusive properties but I liked that. Close to San Jose Del Cabo. Bus runs every day and easy to use. Would deffinately go back.
