We needed to stay a night before a day in Universal Studios, and we got it. The hotel is close to intersection of I-5 and I-210 facing the latter. Our room was on quiet side, and we had no problems with that. They have enough parking space, so this was not a problem at all. The room was clean and the bedding is good. The only problem is their breakfast: it's a joke. Just cereal, yogurts, waffle maker and bread. No eggs, no sausages, no cheese. Not even cream-cheese to put on toast.

Late check in so there were more people checking in than I expected but service was quick and efficient. Nice hotel, convenient to the highway.

Overall experience was a 3.5. Wanted to extend stay but hotel said I would have to check out then check back in, why so I left.

Hotel charged me extra money even if I prepaid the total through Orbitz. Orbitz needs the reason of the hotel, but the hotel cannot provide anything. They just wants more money from you. Don't book this hotel. Everything is very old. I cannot open the door, because lock was too old. I have to ask the front desk to open the door for me every time.

Too Many Fees $$ Extra Breakfast was Poor Lots of Highway Noise Not a bad place, but For the money, stay some place else... Good parking

There's not a whole lot of choices for hotels right in Sylmar. The Travel Lodge really wasn't too bad. Very clean room, comfortable bed and plenty of room. I had a handicap room which had a huge bathroom. Awesome Mexican place right around the corner.

Cleaning in Room was medium level. Bathroom tile grout is turning black from white. I need to go out of bath room to wash hands. Hotel shows cracks in balconies pathway. I can't able to sleep because of highway noises.

I was looking for a hotel north of Los Angeles along the freeway for an overnight stay to break up a long road trip. Checking in only took a few minutes and the gentleman who assisted us was pleasant. The hotel room was very clean and updated and the bed was a lot more comfortable than I expected, too. The room also had a small microwave and fridge. My only disappointment was that breakfast isn't served until 8am, which isn't feasible for early risers. I was out the door before breakfast was available so I can't comment on the quality.

Will definitely stay at that hotel again. The price was reasonable.

Super clean hotel. All the furniture is up to date. Beds are clean. Restrooms are great. It just looks cheap from outside, and neighborhood doesn't look great. But once you walk into the room, it is beats the price it charges. Hands down the best hotel to book for less than $100. Would definitely come here again.

I loved the room. Its a bit pricey ... but worth it

Staff were friendly. Always helpful. It was a great stay.

Stay was ok was nice cause it was right off the freeway but that didn't make it a little noise! Bed where a little hard pool and hot tub wasn't working and not many choices for breakfast first day I've machine was t working either and either was our fridge!! Rooms where clean small but fine cause you don't stay in them very long. But when we got home and was unloading bags there wAs a cockroach in bag!!!! Was so nasty!!!!!!

The staff was not friendly, the elevator was too old. The room did not have an iron you had to go downstairs to get it. I got there 3 hours before check in and they told me it wasn't possible to wait with a rude attitude, but I couldn't cancel so they charge me a 50$ fee to check in early

I enjoyed my time at Travelodge. Getaway weekend for peace and quiet. There were no disturbances of any kind. We had all the amenities needed even a mini coffee which I did not noticed until our last day there. I wished there were more food places in the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Besides bugs, hair in the bathtub, torn sofa, dysfunctional doors, loud a/c, hot room, fealt dirty, freeway so close, hear even car passing by and to top it off the electricity went out, we had to check out early, it's family owned and operated.

Pleasantly surprised how nice the room was for the price.

Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I was very pleased with our decision to stay st this hotel.
