L.A. Sky Boutique Hotel

This is a nice hotel, but could use a few upgrades. There was plenty of room in the bathroom for a small table or cabinet to place toiletries and a larger cabinet or dresser could fit in the bedroom. Also, the coffee maker needed an extension cord to reach the outlet. Parking was a little tight, but we managed to fit in the last space.

Pros: superb location, clean property Limited room cleaning hours, receptionist will do things at their convenience, plumbing is spotty, difficult parking lot Therefore: think well located motel instead of boutique hotel

Yes, this hotel met our need. But, it was a little bit surprising that parking fee was additionally charged. It would be helpful if it was described as heads-up when I did the internet search.

For the price, it worked out great. It's a good value. Boutique style hotel that I'd recommend to anyone on a budget.

Good hotel just not what I was expecting. They need a bigger parking lot.

Open air court yard is nice No elevator, but the staff is delighted to carry bags up and down stairs for you I found it very nice and comfortable!

this hotel works for me because it was close to where I had a business meeting -- for a vacationer it's not in a loacation you'd really want to be in, althought not super far from attractions. I think with coupon I paid around $140, which is the most I would pay for this hotel. It's not a boutique, it's a fancy 2-floor motel. It just kind of has a strange feel to it, like one of those places where there's only one guy on staff all day and all night. Rooms have nice beds, tvs and bathroom is decent. But there's no real windows and coffee machine had nowhere to plug it in. There are good restaraunts close by and a shopping mall accross the street. Expect to pay about $15 via taxi to get down to the beach and areas you'd want to walk around. Like I said it worked because it was close to work, but as a tourist you'll be disapointed.

Staff at reception no the most accommodating, no helpful, the room in the picture look super nice, looks like they are investing little by little putting together the property but the answer from their guests is bigger than the renovation.. 1st thing to do Please wash the carpets in the room they look super dirty doesn't matter that the room is nice if the carpet is dirty old dirty no old super clean. Bathrooms with hairs every where in the bathtub sink ufff not nice, Missing paint in furniture that make it look old and that no one take care of it... Wish you the best but you really need to spend time taking care of the place and by the way you cannot take care of the entire place with one person in charge of house keeping..

The staff was friendly, room was clean and bed was super comfortable.

The LA Sky Boutique hotel was fine for a one night stay. I booked using an online special which was about half the price it normally cost per night, and that is how much the hotel should actually charge. Overall the location, room, cleanliness and staff were fine--nothing above and beyond but in general a good stay for the price we paid.

This hotel is in dire need of a rescue. It is physically neglected and the management is bare bones. The photos they use in their advertisement are probably 10 years old and not a single thing has been done to keep up the property in 10 years, too. Wear and tear should be their middle name. The only highlight of the location is that they are located directly across the street from Lenny's Deli, a Classic Jewish deli extraordinaire .

1. If you intend to park your car make sure it is not a large one as the driveway to the parking area is extremely narrow. Exiting the lot is more of a challenge than entering. 2. The room all face an interior courtyard so there is no natural light. Not bad when you want to sleep but a bit gloomy otherwise. 3. The decor is nice but showing quite a bit of wear. Calling this a 'luxury' boutique hotel is a significant exaggeration. 4. The location is great. 5. For the area, the price was very reasonable.

Nice Hotel, clean great location for what we went to LA for. The breakfast offered was sparse. The only issue I prepaid for parking came back on the last day the lot was closed off filled up So I had to pay to park on the street. When I told the front desk I was told to get the car and give them the key it would be like valet. That is the only issue other wise a nice place

This is a nice hotel if you need somewhere affordable to stay near LA. The hotel has no ammenaties but the rooms are beautiful and very clean.

The room and the hotel was very, very nice. It was the most reasonable in price in a neighborhood where I could walk to my meeting. The only aspect of the hotel which I personally did not like was the absence of natural light from the windows since they all looked out onto semi-public spaces.

I found a better price after checkin, and the photos were kind of a misrepresentation. The rooms are very small. The remodel work was below average install. They use space heater in the room.

Not quite what I expected (interior access to rooms in a somewhat odd set up), which had me a bit worried about a dark room (no exterior light; only interior lights), but it worked. Room was clean, bed comfortable, everything there and working. Staff was friendly, including the continental breakfast staff that was very pleasant. If I had to stay West-Side L.A., I would consider it again. Really good value.

Positives: Friendly staff, modern decor with updated furnishings. Our room was in the corner in the back so fairly quiet. The king-size bed was very comfortable. Large, walk-in shower. Negatives: Small vanity so toiletries stored on a small shelf above the toilet. Could hear the adjacent lodgers through walls and ceiling to some degree but not bad.

I enjoyed my stay and was in the perfect location for my needs. Also was quiet and friendly. Will stay there again.

Worst stay ever. Bed was tiny I believe it was a full size, bed and pillows were hard (woke up with back and neck pain,) room was tiny, hotel seemed older, pictures on Website are miss leading (due to few pictures on website make hotel seem 10 times nicer and bigger than what it really is.) Staff at front desk seemed nice but was woken up at about 8 am by housekeepers laughs that I heard from 8am till I checked out. Never again will I book at this hotel.
