Elan Hotel Los Angeles - a Greystone Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Was on business trip and the Valley parking is very efficient and worth the extra $. The hotel is small but charming and has a pleasant social time every afternoon. Great wine, nice guests. The hotel and the room is clean, quite quiet and well stocked. The CVS pharmacy across the street is huge and open 24h. Cedars Sinai is a block away and so it the shopping mall. Plenty of restaurants in strolling distance. Choose this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Near Petersen Auto Museum, LACMA, LaBrea Tar Pits, and Farmers Market. Paying for valet parking is necessary. Parking tickets are given nearly everywhere near the hotel and are expensive.

Fantastic location close to excellent restaurants, Beverly Center and not far from the Grove. Considering the high standard of room, excellent value!

We chose this boutique hotel because of the close vicinity to our son, who lives in LA, and for the highly rated reviews. We were very pleased. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour every day were wonderful! We especially loved having our glass of wine out on the patio. The bed was very comfortable and I had the best shower ever in a hotel! I guess it was the shower head and the water pressure. We will definitely be back! The only negative, if there is one, is that the elevator was out of order for awhile, but we were on the second floor so it was no problem. They were quick to get it fixed. Everyone, from the Front Desk guys to the Valet guys, were incredibly nice.

It was an ok hotel, nothing to write home about. It doesn't have a pool which would have been nice. Also it was quite noisy as our hotel was on the ground floor right above the parking garage, avoid that room at all costs. Other than that it was nice that it was located close to 3rd street and the Beverly shopping center; even though it has a ton of construction going on. The price made it worth it. The continental breakfast is what you would expect, cereal, bagels pastries and hotel coffee.

Nice hotel located in Beverly Hills. No frills- lounge or pool. Nice complimentary breakfast served in am and nice wine and cheese bar in afternoon. Rooms are on thee small size, but was fine for our one night stay.

All you can expect - clean, safe convenient location in LA, close to many things. Nice free breakfast - unexpected! Selection of NUMI teas! Free wine and snacks on house 5-7 pm... Unbelievable! Friendly personable staff. Don't hesitate!

Just needed some place to sleep for one night that was close to where my business meeting was being held. Elam Hotel had everything I needed and more. The homemade fruit bread was delicious!

The location is okay, it's obvious they've slapped together some cosmetic renovations, which looked okay, but we're kind of chintzy if you looked too hard. I just took my glasses off after a while. Room was pretty small but clean. I'm disabled, couldn't get anyone to help with valet, so I stood with my things (which I carried myself, not once was I asked if I needed help) because my car was left running & open on the side of the road for about 20 minutes at about 1:30 a.m. after 12-hour drive. They seemed to cater to big groups, I was traveling alone, & felt like I didn't matter as much.

Small concern is having to always valet your park when you arrive and when you leave.

Great location for a college visit with one of my kids. Located midway between UCLA and USC.

It's convenient if you are going to Macy's, Marshalls and TJ Max.

Great central location, but parking fee was exorbitant. So parking on street landed a street cleaning ticket I wasn't warned by staff even when I asked about parking. Bring your own water they charge for those bottles in the room which should be complimentary at this price range. Besides that the room was comfortable, nice bed, and clean bath. Had a pleasant nights sleep. The breakfast was ok there we enough options even if they weren't all that healthy. So far I beleive that was it an expensive night

Very close to many of the downtown Beverly Hills restaurants and shops. Situated on a busy street in a rather industrial part of the neighborhood, my wife and I did not mind walking the short distance to several restaurantsduring the day, but I would feel safer taking a cab ride back. They were very attentive in providing us a complimnetry bottle of wine while we waited for a king size bedroom to become available, and the continental breakfast was just average. We would stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean, a little on the small side but comfortable. Location is awesome, only a mile or two from comedy clubs and bars. The free wine and cheese every night is a great touch. Most memorable was how polite and friendly every memeber of the staff was. Great place.

This hotel was better suited for business travel rather than vacation. The room was extremely small, there was no fitness center or pool. They did have a wonderful complimentry breakfast and a lovely wine and cheese service in late afternoon.

Elan Hotel is decent; everything was clean, didn't worry about bed bugs at all. It was simple and to the point; 2 stories, 1 elevator, free breakfast, valet was $10 less than other hotels (still it was $20/day). Nothing was amazing or really stood out, but we were visiting LA for the day and needed a clean place to stay at a decent rate; Elan got the job done. Staff was very, very friendly. Hotel is across from the Beverly Center and near some good nightlife. Only one negative was the room was very small (to be fair, I can't compare to other LA hotels) and had a bad layout where the bathroom door blocked the entrance.

From check in to check out, this hotel was wonderful. I would love to just live there. The staff, amenities, location, and just everything were perfect. What a pleasant surprise and we will definitely be staying here again.

We went for a short weekend to LA and absolutely loved it. Elan was centrally located to dining, shopping, city life...everything. Very safe area. The stsff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend LA to anyone and stay at this great hotel!

From the time we arrived everything about this hotel was perfect. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The added touches of free internet, complimentary breakfast, complimentary cheese and wine in the evenings were what made our stay even better. Only a few metres from the Beverly Centre with Macy's and other speciality shops. A drugstore across the road that is open 24/7. Easy to catch the hop-on hop-off bus just outside the Beverly Centre - a must to catch all the sites of LA. Would definitely recommend.

Dear Guest, We appreciate you and thank you for staying with us. The Elan Hotel is a boutique hotel designed for the business and leisure traveler. Unfortunately we do not have a pool but the location that we offer is unique. In addition, we offer a great value with many extras in the room as well as in the expanded continental breakfast. In addition we offer a lovely wine and cheese reception every evening between 5 – 7pm where our guest take advantage of our complimentary high speed internet and catch up with emails and social media. As we are located on Beverly Blvd, we can honor requests for rooms to be pre blocked on away from the main boulevard.
