Americas Best Value Inn - Hollywood/Los Angeles

We picked this hotel because of its closeness to Universal/Hollywood but the hotel experience was terrible. The AC in the room stopped working in the night and there were cars beeping around in the neighborhood that kept us awake the whole night. The continental breakfast had some coffee juice and toast. It was very disappointing for the price we payed. I have stayed in better motels for half the price.

The rooms have been updated so a hotel that could have been a dive is actually pretty nice. The beds were comfortable and the pillow was just right - not overstuffed like most hotel pillows. There is no coffee maker in the room, but there is a microwave and small fridge.

Motel in undesirable location Room set up was not good not enough storage Old and tired furniture Loud and noisy

Staff is horrible. Flight got delayed. never checked in. They did not want to cancel my room and they still charged me.

The staff is friendly but the motel is run down with little attention to details such as filling the soap dispensers or the tissue boxes. The bathroom ceiling fan was loose and rattled. The breakfast is modest and the orange juice had started to turn.

Will not go back. Did not like anything about this place light switches didn't work properly shower was not easy to work with Ever noisy, bad area, Not enough parking

Free Breakfast is a scam. It is just bread & coffee. Rooms had a weird smell.

It wasnt that bad just the bed was very hard wifi kept cutting off, maids came at random times everyday inconvenient. Smelt like smoke when i requested a non smoking room!! There was a cigarette burn on the toilet seat! Needs repairs bad!

I stayed at this hotel in April 2016. It is very clean and quiet. Rooms seem more or less renovated. The neighborhood is a bit shady, but the hotel is only 10 min walk from a metro rail station and Hollywood Blvd.

I really liked the location. Small but very comfortable. The rooms are nice, not much parking but the hotel really works with you on this. I will definitely stay here again.

I was a late arrival who had already paid all fees when I booked, when I arrived because I had booked with my maiden name I was almost sent away. It took me about a half hour to prove to the grumpy man at the desk that I was who I said I was when booking. Once I was given a key I had an easily accessible room, I was able to park my car right in front of my door. Literally had maybe five steps from my trunk to the room. The room I was in was a wheel chair accessible room so the room way very spacious. The biggest problem was the bathroom after a shower. Because it was a "roll in shower" the water from the shower got everywhere, even spilled out into the room from under the bathroom door. They don't give u enough tools to clean up all the water from the shower. We used all out towls/rags that we were given and still had a damp floor to step on in the middle of the night when walking to the toilet. The hotel seems to be in a very sketchy neighborhood at night but for the price I paid and the fact that it had free parking(extremely tight parking), was within walking distance of shopping and food, I would consider staying here again.. I would defiantly ask for another room however. upon checking out the day attendant in the office was polite and I had no problems when leaving the hotel.

The room is small but very modern and nice furnishings and the location is great close to the freeways

Good stay met expectations clean good service front desk person was happy to help when I locked key in room

In my 5 years of stay in US and been travelled on more than 30+ trips, i will say i have never been disappointed this much. This hotel is is just not cheap, instead it is not a place to stay I would say. Room floor was not clean, There was stench in room, and locality was just not up to anybody's taste. Also, parking was right in front of my room(May be 2 feel) and I can hear lots of cars coming and going all night. Also, breakfast provided was shame, as of i recall it was few stalled muffins of side or Golf Balls. I din't even dare to touch them. I think there was some more things, but none of them had any appetizing appeal to me. So skipped them. So, do yourself and favour, select something else. Few extra dollars will be well spent at least.

The hotel met all my expectations. They have a very friendly staff, beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, and a magnificent location. I was close to everything I wanted - from the Hollywood Stars to the Hollywood Sign. Only Con: Not enough parking. I arrived at 1:00 am and the parking lot was full. They did allow me to park in another area, though. Definitely recommend it!

I stayed here during thanksgiving weekend room's were 70$ a night for fullsize bed. I would recommend this hotel for a friend very good for the price.

The manager and all of the staff are very friendly and professional. Our reservation was quickly found and we were in our rooms within 5 minutes of pulling into the parking lot (which is monitored 24-hours). Our rooms were clean, had a fridge and hairdryer etc. and were Hollywood themed with vivid pictures of the local scenery. Walking distance from lots of great sights and local hang-outs! Free breakfast too! Loved the coffee. Thanks for a hassle-free weekend!

This hotel was ok the heat don't work but beside that the hotel is ok.

Hotel is located perfectly, just 15 min WALK to Hollywood Blvd and there's plenty of buses and the tram to take you everywhere else within a 10 min walk distance. The breakfast at the hotel was rather disappointing, but you are located right across the 1$ shop, so you can get just about anything else to eat, with lots of breakfast places within a few min walk only.

Newly remodeled, clean and simple accommodations. Staff is friendly. Parking is contained on premises. Simple continental breakfast and coffee but nice addition.
