Good front desk. General manager came and talked to us. Good internet most of the time. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Nice towels. No traffic noise but plumbing from other rooms was noisy. Very convenient location. Restaurant across the street and gas station 2 doors down. Breakfast was well stocked but 2 empty tables and the floor had crumbs. Two employees talking very loudly in lobby with personal conversations were distracting. Otherwise, all was good.
We were only at the hotel a short time for an overnight between San Antonio and San Diego. Staff were efficient and accommodated our requests. This is an older property and some of the furnishing are showing age, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel was easy to find off the interstate. Although the hotel was full, we spent a quiet night - it seems most of the other guests had to get up early for work. No complaints at all about the hotel, but be aware if you stay in Lordsburg that restaurant choices at night are very limited. After 13 hours on the road, we sure wanted a beer - but no nearby restaurants serve alcohol! A good stay nonetheless. Bought gas next door to hotel at Valero station which was cheaper than stations right on the interstate.
Management is super nice and makes every attempt to accommodate but this property is very run down. Cleaning standards need to be increased, and a small amount of money could help raise the overall condition. I checked in, stayed in the room for a couple of hours, and ended up checking out. The price is right so if you're on a tight budget and can't afford the other places in town, this may be for you.
My family and I stayed for 1 night on the way back from Austin to Phx. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and for the 10 hours we stayed there, it was well worth the affordable price. We try to choose Choice Hotels as much as we can while on road trips, and we were not disappointed in this choice.
The front desk people were helpful at check in. Unfortunately, the bathroom in our motel room did not seem to have been cleaned. There was urine on the toilet seat and the floor was filthy. This was very off-putting, and I wouldn't stay here again. We told the management and while they were vaguely apolgetic, it was implied that for the price, we shouldn't complain.
Clean comfortable room. Good value with complimentary breakfast. One of the nicest things was the staff who were very helpful with local information and very nice. 5 stars for friendliness. Cheap diner and restaurants nearby. A very pleasant stay
Based off the Trip Advisor reviews, I decided to stay here rather than something a bit higher in the chain. My husband booked the room for me as I was driving and it seemed rooms were selling out fast. I gave it one star for the effort of contact (sending concierge texts). I gave it one star because the room did not stink. And I gave it one star because although I didn't have the friendliest clerk to check me in and out, it seems as though the manager here is really trying hard to impress. I took away a star because there were dead bugs behind the bathroom door and a live bug flying around the room. There is daylight under the main door, so I'm not blaming the maid. They probably crawled in after she cleaned. And I took away another star because during the reservation process, it asks if there are any special requests. My husband put that he wanted a note left on my bed from him (he NEVER does this so that would have been an amazing thing to have). With all the great remarks about this place, he figured this would be the one place that would do it. Nope. Even after the concierge texts asking me to check in via the a link in the text so they could "prepare" my room... nothing. Prepare for what? It was just like any other room in any other motel. It also said in the link that I could NOT check in before 3pm so I sat in my truck for 3 1/2 hours waiting so I could check in. I am a diamond member so normally most hotels will let me check in early. I didn't even go to the motel and try because the text was very adamant I could not check in because they were preparing the room (code for the maids are slow???). The walls are thin, so be prepared to hear the traffic outside, every single vehicle start in the morning, and everything your neighbor says and does. This is above average for EconoLodge, but I didn't sleep well and will probably find a different motel on our next trip through.
We stayed here 4 days while hiking the Continental Divide Trail. Ann at the front desk was great at getting us checked in and oriented when we arrived. Lisa, the manager, and Ray were super helpful, even giving us rides to and from the trail. Rooms are comfy. There's a restaurant right across the street. But the motel does a very nice continental breakfast. Waffles, even! Definitely give it a try. Al & Joyce from Colorado
Traveling on vacation and happened upon this gem. The hotel is older, but there is some work being done. The value is excellent at $69 for a suite. Breakfast gave a good start to the day. The best part of the stay was the employees. We felt welcome from the very start. Everyone that we met was wonderful and very helpful. Will definitely stay on way home and will also recommend to others. Thank you for a restful night and warm hospitality.
In my quest to find inexpensive motels that are gems in the rough, I found the Econo Lodge in Lordsburg. Very quiet, even though it was near the interstate. The senior rate was about $60. I marked this place on my map because I'll stay here next time I'm in Lordsburg.
