First off, the staff is great (except for the breakfast hostess). The room was clean, beds good, all what you'd expect from Holiday Inn Express. However, the fail was the breakfast. The hostess was absent (front desk clerk was doing her best to keep things stocked but it was hard), and worse, there were no cinnamon rolls. That's pretty much the only reason we stay at any HIE is for the cinnamon rolls. Not only that but the hostess finally showed up and said they wouldn't have any for a long time. What kind of manger doesn't order the best part of breakfast? So based on that, then new dreary color scheme we won't stay at this holiday inn again but I give them a four star because I know lots of people like the new colors and don't care about cinnamon rolls. I just liked the warm greens and browns the HIE's used to have and of course, the cinnamon rolls. Life is so unfair.
Refurbed Holiday Inn Express. Clean outside and inside. 'Check In' young lady was awfully shy, no 'thank you' for booking with them or being a member of Priority Club. Room was nice enough although bathroom was old, low toilets, etc. Microwave and small refer. Plenty of outlets. Beds were fairly comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. If you are traveling with a dog this is probably the place to stay. We must have seen (and heard) a dozen dogs that night. Not sure if something locally was going on or what. We like dogs but were surprised to see so many on the grounds (and surprised to see dog owners who didn't pick up their dogs waste!!). Breakfast had a good variety and the gal running it was very friendly and helpful. Thanks. My final thought: I really don't think this property is worth $145.28 a night. I doubt we'll stay here again on our next trip to Texas.
This hotel is right off I 40 just east of Little Rock. It is behind the Best Western and next to the Days Inn. They all must have been built at the same time. The check in man was very nice and friendly . There are a few places to eat around it. There is a gas station within feet of it. It is clean and up to date. It has a large hot breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if in area.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room and pool was clean. There was a full breakfast and places to eat within walking distance. My family was very please with the stay. I would recommend this hotel!
This was a really nice hotel, very clean and very friendly staff. We just stayed overnight. Arrived around 8pm was checked in quickly even got to have coffee and the last cookie. Which doesn't sound exciting but we had driven through horrible rain and traffic from Lexington Ky. So it was very nice. There are nearby eating places within walking distance. The room was very clean (good maids here) very comfortable large enough and good lighting at night and bright with sunlight when you open drape in the morning. They have good hot coffee which is important because a lot of hotels don't and you come in off the road after 10-11 hours and warm coffee is a disappointment. So that's a huge plus. If we ever find ourselves going that route again I would stop here again. I can highly recommend it to anyone traveling I-40 East or West. Good people working here make this a good place to overnight or stay a few.
As others have stated, this Holiday Inn Express is a great place to stay. It is clean, and the personnel are professional and courteous. It has the typical HIE breakfast. Not a huge fan of it, but good enough to grab a bite before heading out for your day. We specifically chose this hotel, because they allow dogs. We were charged an additional $25 a night for that convenience. Our first night there on Friday, April 07, we saw several dogs there, at least half a dozen. We wondered if there was some sort of dog-centric event going on. With all of the dogs there, the property was still very clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this HIE.
This was a nice place for us to stop as we were traveling through. It was a typical HIE but that is what I like about it. I know what to expect and they delivered. It's very convenient off the road. The room and price we received was great. We would stay here again.
We've stayed at this property while passing through Lonoke before and the hotel and staff have never dissappointed us. As always, the reception was warm and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. One suggestion for the staff -- make sure to set the room thermostat at check-in to a temperature that is within the typical range of human comfort. Our thermostat was set to 60* F when we entered our room and we were nearly frozen out, especially since the heater would not engage to warm us.
Friendly staff! CLEAN room! DELICIOUS breakfast! Even the COFFEE was exceptional --- and believe me when I tell you that we are SERIOUSLY PICKY about our coffee! Pet- friendly too. I can't think of a single negative to say about this delightful lodging experience.
I rarely travel solo and wanted to be careful where I stayed. Decided this was better than going all the way in to Little Rock since I wasn't familiar w the area. We are IHG Rewards Club members and I consider Holiday Inn to be generally safe and secure. Booked through Priceline.com with a "cancelable" reservation since I was heading to visit my son in the military and the Army tends to be a bit unpredictable. In order to get this option I paid full price for one their most expensive rooms. So after working til 3PM and driving til 9PM on a Friday I was a little perturbed to find myself stuck in the room just across from the elevator which I generally try to avoid because of the mechanical noises and the people getting on and off. Since I was too tired to make my way back downstairs to request a change I decided to make the best of it and figured there weren't that many people there so hopefully it wouldn't be too bad. Once I was settled and ready for bed things picked up and bit and I realized that not only was there mechanical noise and people taking in the hall but every time the elevator reached the floor it made two loud chimes. This woke me up several times through out the night and early the next day. Not exactly what you want to prepare you for a day on the interstate. But worse there seemed to be no reason for it. With the hotel as empty as it was why would you put anyone in that room to begin with? Safety also appears to be a concern since I was tired the next morning I managed to lock myself out of my room. I at least had my phone with me so I figured I could get a temporary room key by showing my reservation email. That wasn't necessary though, since I was given a key card for my room without so much as a single question about my name or anything associated with who was staying there. Convenient...yes but NOT SAFE at all!! I had only been there one night and the front desk clerk had to be located for me by the girl monitoring the breakfast buffet so he had never seen me before. I gave 3 "stars" only because other than what I mentioned the hotel was clean and comfortable and met the norm for Holiday Inn standards. But I would not recommend it, especially for anyone traveling alone.
