We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The pool and hot tub were a hit with our kids, and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Overall this was a great place to get some rest.
The staff at this hotel made all the difference. They were exceptional and treated us like family. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the food served for breakfast was very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel, as we will be back when we visit again.
I liked the staff they were helpful. The beds were very hard I could have slept on the floor and gotten better rest. Hopefully when they update the hotel that is the first thing done and they replace the beds
too long of a story. boycotting this hotel and every other choice hotel in the world. got checked into a room we could not get in for like 4 to 5 hours and then got ran off the property for making a complaint. the clerk asked me for drugs. the GM threatened me with cops because I told her that the clerk asked me for drugs.
We reserved rooms in advance. Check in was easy. Hotel was clean. Staff was helpful. 24hr coffee served. Rooms were well above average. Clean and well equipped. We did have an issue with out tv not changing channels. A call to the front desk and it was fixed in 15 minutes. We were a group of 9 people and we had 3 rooms. Requested 20 minutes in the private meeting room as we were there to say goodbye to a loved one and they were great about providing the room to us, no charge for 30 minutes. I had stayed here before and will be sure to come back. Front desk and staff were very personable. We also did some fishing in the Sabine while we were there. Great weekend and the food choices were very good.
My wife and I stayed in this hotel on ore road trip back to the West Coast. The hotel was neat and clean. The check in process was quick and efficient. Our room was large and clean. I would stay hear again.
I really hate to give this hotel an average to poor rating but I feel that I have to, at least after this visit. We usually stay here every time we come to visit family in Carthage. In the past it has always been clean and for the most part, staff has been friendly. This time however things seemed a little off. Deborah made the reservation for me and she gave me a fair deal and I truly appreciated that. She doesn't seem overly friendly but she's not rude either. She's efficient and good at her job. The room wasn't as clean as rooms we have stayed in before. The carpet wasn't vacuumed very well, the towels were dingy and the top lock on the door was broken. We used the air conditioner and it had a moldy smell to it. Maybe we got a room that isn't used very often, I don't know. The first morning that we went down for breakfast it was 8:00 am and everything was empty and I do mean everything!! We had to get the lady at the front desk, who was busy trying to wrangle a crying child from behind the desk, to come to the kitchen and replenish. The second day wasn't much better. Most things were empty and they appeared to be understaffed. With all this said, this hotel is better than any of the other alternatives that are in Carthage. We may try the Holiday Inn Express next time we come. Also, if you are bringing a pet, this is the place to stay. They are very pet friendly.
Hotel was nice, Front Desk employee, Dal, was very cordial, extremely helpful and made us feel very welcomed. Housekeeping lady by the name of Adriana also very nice, kind and helpful. She was multitasking; doing numerous rooms (too much for one person), laundry and also taking care of morning breakfast. Hotel needed two more Housekeeping personnel. I was not able to eat eggs because at 9 am, they were out of eggs and breakfast was from 6-9 am. Not very happy with that! Hire more people or put more people to work especially during breakfast.
We had our family reunion last weekend, and the facility was clean and inviting. The staff was very accommodating to us, and for that we were grateful. I look forward to staying there for future visits.
The Comfort Inn and Suites served as the host Hotel for the 2018 Pellum Family Reunion! Our Contract was negotiated with Amanda with an excellent price. However, Amanda left about three weeks prior to our family arrival date. Paula became the new manage and apparently didn't have a transitioning period so our first three conversation did not go over well because she was not familiar with the hotel's system. Later, she found our contract but it was not in writing the number of Complimentary rooms we were to receive. With much agitation with myself for NOT making sure that it was in writing and also aggravated and disappointed that the owner nor Amanda did not contact me before her departure. However, with much prayer Paula and I was able to resolve our differences and from that point on, the staff went above and beyond to make our family feel welcomed and comfortable. We received service at it's BEST! The Price was excellent. Approximately 80-90 family members stayed at the Hotel. I think we occupied most of their rooms.
