This hotel resort is very nice itself but isolated in the middle of nowhere. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing time then it's ok because it's far away from Duong Dong town. No walking distance to any interesting places or restaurant and shops in Phu quoc. I think resort should provide some kind of transportation to town or beaches because the beach at the resort is not that good and a lot of plastic bags floating around. There're restaurants in the resort but kinda expensive and not so good.
As for a tropical area, it is common that there are some insects near the hotel room/ at balcony. However, at night during the stay , when I opened window at balcony (highest floor, 6/F) for a few minutes, many insects (including a big one!) come in and crawl around beside the bed. I feel so scared and asked housekeeping to solve this. Housekeeping staff came in after 10 mins and sprayed pesticides near the bed and threw the big one out of the room... by hand... However, I am still not be assured that whether there were still insects and we asked to change room and the front desk agreed. Breakfast is quite good with some varieties. Excellent pool bar at the centre of the pool and excellent beach sunset view!
Room was very clean and spacious. I love the restaurants Shack and Ola Beach Club except The Kitchen. Fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors. The breakfast and dinner buffets at the Kitchen tastes healthy in a good way, but somewhat bland to me. The resort is secluded from local shops and main towns. The staff was very kind and considerate. The suite room was a bit noisy at night because of the music from the club. Orbitz VIP perks was a great plus. The spa was good, I love the Swedish Massage.
