Terrific location. Wonderful room with view of park

For the price we paid, the room size was disappointingly small. There was not much room to open up 2 suitcases, except on the double bed. The elevators were equally small, just enough to carry 2 people with 2 suitcases. Perhaps, this reflects on the London city accommodation. On the plus side, the Front Desk staff was very cordial and helpful. Check-in was very convenient, and they gave us our room before the 2 PM check-in time without any hassle. Buffet breakfast was plentiful with good overall choices.

The hotel is across from Hyde Park, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel staff was friendly and offered assistance when needed. The room was smaller than anticipated and beds not very comfortable. In my opinion, they need replacing. We made it work as we were all very tired after seeing sights all day. I would probably stay here again based on location.

A good location hotel in front of the biggest park in London. Lots of transport near by to connect you everywhere. Hotel staff are great, ready to help you on anything you need. Many shops, places to eat and shop on Bsysway near the underground station. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Located 4 minutes from queensway and 7 minutes from Lancaster underground (tube) stations and right across Hyde park (front rooms have a view), high floors have a SPECTACULAR hyde park and city view. Friendly staff, good room service with limited menu.

While it is a little further away from Paddington Station than some hotels I have stayed at, it is located directly across from Kensington gardens. If it is your first time to visit to London opt for a room with a view - it is great to be able to open the curtains in the morning and view the park. This time around I chose a room without a view which was slightly smaller, but still nicely sized and adequate for my stay. The staff has been accommodating with early check-in both times I stayed here. Also convenient is the Little Waitrose store located in the corner of the building - for picking up drinks and snacks.

Our location was terrific. Staff at the Kensington Gardens was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was a comfortable offering with fruit, cereal and warm choices, too. Flavor was lacking but again, staff most helpful . For us, this was a very good choice for our three day adventure in London.

Really surprised and pleased with quality of this hotel. Literally across the street from Hyde Park, a small hike away from Notting Hill, near Queensway tube station. Excellent breakfast -- buy it with your room if you can. Will stay here again.

Helpful receptionists and staff, excellent breakfast, great location next to the Queensway station, free but very good wireless internet connection.I would definately recommend this hotel!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, quiet and close to both the Circle line and the Central line tube stations. Small by US standards but very clean and all necessary amenities. Good food in brassierie especially breakfast buffet.

Hotels are very expensive in London. This hotel is reasonably priced and in a great location. Also just 3 blocks from the Underground. The staff was great. Rooms are small - but that is typical for any hotel in London. The bed was the right size and very comfortable!

Had a good experience. Front desk ladies very helpful. Location close to Paddington station, park, and some restaurants very helpful. Breakfast situation - too expensive and too English. For the price, there's not enough there for some to want to pay it.

This is a hotel where we would stay again. Room was very small but nice amenities. Staff was very helpful, breakfast was great. We also ate dinner there several nights and the food was delicious. The Hop-on Hop off Big Bus stopped right outside the door. Close to the tube. Nice area.

I stayed in this hotel for business. The staff was friendly. It was a basic clean hotel. Standard European hotel that featured small rooms.

Hotel was delightful, breakfast was more than any American could possibly want. Staff was extremely helpful and answered all our questions without hesitation. Location is centrally located across from Hyde Park, short (maybe 5 min or less)walk to Queensbury Underground Station, bus 390 will take you all the way to Kings Cross Train Station through main shopping district. Bus 94 takes you to other sites, very easy to use. We flew into Heathrow, took Heathrow Express (tickets can be purchased on line prior to leaving states) to Paddington Station and a short taxi ride to hotel. We would stay and recommend this hotel to anyone going to London.

The hotel was very nice. The walk from the tube to hotel was a bit sketchy at night. There were a lot of tourists in the neighborhood.

I have stayed at this Hotel several times before. Last year was the first time ny friends and I could not get a reservation for the time we wanted so we were quite happy that we wre able to return Our room had to be changed because the phones did not work the internet was slow and rooms were not made up until late in the day. Te cleaning staff was non english speaking so I could not get help with the aircondition Such a shame the location is excellent- Bring back the old staff

From the moment we arrived - Front Desk Staff excellent in listening and advising us regarding our immediate needs! The stay was for business and with an early rise each morning the wake up was a welcome amenity Overall - Clean Comfy and we booked the King with view - which was overlooking the garden across street - Beautiful! Highly recommend this hotel

As US vacationers, this was our first stay with the Thistle brand (which is based in the UK and in Asia), and we were very pleasantly surprised. Thistle appears to be a venture that acquires older properties and gussies them up with more current lobby/restaurant and common-space design, and this locations turned out to be an excellent value for our London stay. We were relieved and then thrilled to experience a very young, but professional and welcoming staff who showed every willingness to answer questions and make our stay pleasant. The Kensington location's proximity to the Tube, to bus transit, and to walkable sights made it perfect for us and, the 2nd floor restaurant offered ideal breakfast (and value) for us tourists wanting to get a start on our day without leaving the hotel. The rooms are certainly small, as should be expected in London yet storage is ample and bathroom was well-designed and well-appointed. The view of Kensington Garden is a plus and seems a lovely value for the reasonable rates at this Thistle location.

First the room is some what small but more than enough. Shower was perfection. Breakfast was outstanding. Would stay there again and recommend thanks great hotel Allan
