Overall, I rate my experience as "okay". Not bad, not great, just okay. Although the room was clean, it was small even by European standards. We had a room with 2 twin beds and there wasn't even enough space to leave both suitcases open -- I had to go into my suitcase and then close it back and stand it up to be able to move around. Luckily it was only for 1 night -- I couldn't imagine staying in that room any longer than that. Staff was nice -- I had booked the room, but my sister arrived before me and they let her check-in before I got there, so that was appreciated. But we did notice that a room service tray was sitting outside of a room on the floor our entire one night stay -- no one bothered to pick it up or move it, so that was a little tacky.

I've stayed here a few times. Nothing special. The shower drain in my room was backed up.

Hotel situated in the heart of london. Walked from the hotel to most attractions. Enjoyed my stay

Having experienced others hotels in London, the Thistle is our favourite one not only for its comfort but also for its location.

The rooms and hotel were lovely. The room got very warm at night almost as if the air was turned off. The staff could have been nicer especially in the bar and front desk. But...the hotel was very clean and lovely.

Nice hotel in a great location. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Excellent location in cozy Bloomsbury. Friendly service, comfortable beds, lots of hot water and heat, modern feel to the rooms, easy walking distance to the tube, Charing Cross Rd, etc.

Visiting daughter studying abroad - great bathroom with awesome hot shower which is much appreciated after seeing the sights with a typical Lindon drizzle. Convenient location walk to theater Oxford Street for shopping and many other London attractions.

Good value when looking for clean friendly and convenient spot so you can spend your money on enjoying all the Lindon has to offer. Hotel staff very nice and accommodating. Arrived on an early flight from US and my room was ready. Location excellent for walking to many key areas. Awesome shower with great pressure and hot water which was greatly appreciated after walking in the rain all day. Recommend highly.

They were very helpful. It was very clean. Wish it was closer to the tube. Need to have non slip mat in bathroom.

This is a great hotel, perfect location to walk to many attractions and the tube and bus lines. Small hotel with good size rooms, beautifully decorated and great great value for your money

All the staff were friendly, helpful, efficient, and courteous

This place has an unfortunate policy of ripping people off.We booked for 2 nights but had to skip the first night. The hotel policy is to give no refunds no matter if we knew 10 days early. They said this was standard. That was their first lie.Despite that we accept it as their policy and were prepared to take the loss . When we arrived after 10 am the second day into the 2 night stay we had paid for, our room wasn't ready !!.Someone else was in the bed we had paid for. They double dipped and said a room wasnt ready ,even though we had paid for both days. They said it was my fault for not telling them that we were not coming and that the rule is that you have to check in at 2pm-not before and not after .Second lie . I pointed out that not everybody checks in at 2pm and what time did they rent out my room. They wouldn't tell me .Other reviews have pointed out that this hotel does this often. So ,if you are travelling late and want to guarantee getting a room if arriving at night-dont book this hotel . When I complained the manger was rude and arrogant .After much discussion and delay a room was prepared for us despite them saying they had no rooms.Their attitude was awful and I wouldn't ever return .I am not sure what time of day they make the gamble that a customer won't be turning up and try to double dip? When they get caught out,the least they could do would be to apologise. Some would argue a free upgrade wouldn't be out of order. We just got told it was all our fault .The worst customer service i have faced at a hotel for years .Be warned .

excellent room on corner, overlooking London. Service was exceptional. Staff very helpful, even to accompanying us for half-a-block to show us the bus stop we needed. We walked to all theaters in the West End, Trafalgar, Leiscester Square etc.

This was my 7th trip to London and the absolutely best hotel I have stayed at there. I wish I could have that hot towel bar at home. Food was excellent. The only negative thing I can say is that many people on the staff are not as fluent in English as they would like to be.

The location was great! The entire staff was wonderful, especially the awesome check in staff, Antonio at the bar and the concierge. I will definitely book again. Wonderful rooms, and easy to get around the city.

The Thistle The Kingsley hotel is very pleasant, good and friendly staff. The Bar is very good , with some good wines, good quality snacks. The staff in the breakfast room is very attentive and professional. You will certainly enjoy your stay , and its close to metro and most attractions.

This was my first trip to London and I had no complaints. Hotel staff was very friendly. As soon as I arrived they kept my bags locked in storage due to no rooms being available so early. Would definitely stay there again.

It was good. Location is the best! Also service is good.

our hotel room was enough size for both of us. bathroom is clean. there's a restaurant downstairs and a bar which was open if you needed beer or coffee after dinner. the staff from front desk, concierge to cleaning lady were helpful. just let them know what you need. a lot of resto around the hotel since the brit muaeam is just behind. closest station is holborn but bus38 stops directly in front of the hotel steps which is so convenient after long walks or drinking too much. i recommend this place

Dear Notta, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel -Thistle Holborn, The Kingsley and providing your valuable feedback. The location of the hotel is ideal for leisure travellers interested in theatre, shopping and sightseeing, with many of the city's most iconic sights just a short walk away. World famous shopping street, Oxford Street, with more than 300 shops can be reached in less than 20-minute walk. The hotel is located just around the corner from the British Museum, and less than a 10-minute walk from Covent Garden and Soho. With regards to your comments about the room, we do have rooms with different sizes and I am sorry that the one you stayed in this time did not meet your expectations. But being a listed building, like many of the historical hotels around London, we have tried to maximise the space as best as we could. However, we do provide a variety of rooms ranging from Deluxe Double all the way to our more spacious Junior Suites. We hope this didn't detract your overall opinion on the hotel and we would love to welcome you back to restore your faith in us. Kind regards, Tolga Ersen Operations Manager
