Stayed for one night whilst at a course based in Holborn. It's around the corner from Marble Arch station. Stayed in a single room which was a fine size for me, small but not so small it's inconvenient. The facilities provided are very good quality which is hard to find in central London. Note that Breakfast is served a few doors down in the Montcalm. It's good quality too. There was no noise experienced at night which has been an issue elsewhere and the staff were very polite. Recommended if you need to stay centrally.

A colleague and I booked two rooms here a few nights ago. When we arrived my colleague was notified that they were overbooked but they could put him up in Picadilly across town. Apparently 3 minutes before he arrived (7:15pm) they had finally notified him they were overbooked. We politely refused given our meetings were around the corner the next day. While waiting for our refund (which to be fair did happen after 3-4 demands) another incoming guest was told he was overbooked and moved to 'sister' hotel 2 blocks down the street (the look on his face was priceless as the employee took his bag to help him to his room and left out the front door to walk down the street!). The third guest who arrived while we were waiting for a refund had a room - in the basement. So: I never saw the rooms - they may be delightful. But we had to speak to 3 separate people to get a refund processed for a room they could not provide us.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February of 2017. Room: The room was quite small, barely enough room for our luggage. (Two suitcases). Decent enough selection on the TV. The bathtub and shower was nice, hot water and good pressure on the water. The lighting in the bathroom was poor. Not sufficient for a lady to apply makeup. Bed and pillows are hard. Hotel in general: Looked nice enough, staff was pleasant to deal with. Stairs to all floors, so be prepared for a bit of excercise when going to your room. Breakfeast: Bad. They reeeally wanted you to buy extra breakfeast even when you had it included in your room. The included content wasn't good. Some dry bread for a toaster, a sub-par selection of topping, no warm food (eggs, bacon etc), some fruits and a selection of cereals. Location is good. 3-4 minutes walk and you'll find yourself on Oxford Street. Probably won't stay here again.

Stayed with 9 friends and absolutely loved the hotel! Service was good and rooms clean! Bathroom was amazing! 4 min from Primark on Oxford Street, location couldn't be better! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to be close to Oxford Street!! Close to the train station.

Stayed at Shaftesbury suits for 4 nights in November 16. Location of the hotell was excellent, 3-4 minute walk to the underground station at Marble Arch. Positive and helpful staff. Did not get the room we booked but got a new and bigger one after complaining. BUT: Very narrow and small reception area where the baggage was stored, looked quite messy. Breakfast is down the road in another hotel. Worst breakfast we have ever had, and the staff was terrible. Seemed to be disappointed when we did not wanted to order extra breakfast when ours was all ready included. The breakfast included pretty much nothing and one morning they did not even have bread. Terrible is the best word to describe it. We will not recommend this place, unless you want to live close the Oxford street etc. Would be more safe to stick to the bigger hotels where the food selection and facilities are better. Never again!

This was agreat place to stay - close to the Shops , Local Bars - yet quite enough to not know - there are no Lifts in the Suites - and what no one else had mentioned although we had Breakfast included we had to walk up the road for this - this is part of the Montcalm - the Breakfast was great - lots of choice - but something to bear in Mind - I mentioned it was our Anniversary and we got a Complimentary bottle of wine - Swan Towels on the Bed - vedry nice touch - would recommend it

Had one night in this hotel and was very pleased with it. Staff very welcoming at reception and we were updated to a Club class room too. Member of staff brought us up a complimentary bowl of fruit and bottle of water, nice touch. Marble Arch underground just five minutes walk. Superb breakfast at sister hotel, few minutes walk so no problem. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not disabled, as no lifts.

This is a bit tricky to review. We wanted to be close to Oxford Street and Hyde Park which it is, but we booked it through Booking.com so I selected this hotel when I saw how close it was and had the time to have a look at the rooms etc. We wanted something quite special but also fitting in to our budget. The standard rooms looked small, so I selected the Deluxe Room. The pictures looked great and spacious and included a living area with a sofa so after a day sight seeing and shopping we could relax in comfort instead of sitting on a bed. However when we were shown to our room, it was very cramped and had no living area. I mentioned we have booked the Deluxe Room, and he said this was it. So I asked about the sofa and living area, and was told these are only for the club rooms. So very disappointed with that, so not sure who's to blame, them, booking.com or me for not looking into things more thoroughly. Although small, the room was of an excellent standard and the shower room must have recently been refurbished as it was spotless. Breakfast was great, although a couple of staff struggled with English meaning our meal came out completely wrong, but when speaking to another member of staff this was quickly rectified and was of a high standard. My last little moan, again when booking this wasn't mentioned, but after paying for the room in full, I was then asked for a separate deposit. It's not as though I was part of a stag do, we are a couple on a short romantic break, so very strange. Overall, despite the booking mix up (whoever fault that may be) the hotel was of a very good standard, and very close to the shops and Hyde Park. My advice, book directly with them.

The positive : is that it is clean and neat, and the bathroom ( albeit tiny) is clean and moderns and shower is good. If you are here to shop, it is super central to oxford to street. The front desk staff were sweet and helpful, and accommodated us with an early check in and baggage. That's where it ends.. Please do not stay at this hotel if you are booking a single room. The rooms are literally minute hamster boxes. The room is about 6-7 sq meters!! It is impossible to find room to place all your belongings and be comfortable. I've stayed in about 15 different London hotels - and this is the SMALLEST BOX I've ever had to stay in. The first single room I was allocated to was a basement room ( which they don't tell you at booking stage) and it reeked of mould and damp. All the basement rooms are singles and have this same smell as a colleague was in a room here as well. I was moved to a room literally behind the receptionists desk. I am totally exhausted after flying for over 15 hours, but unable to sleep because of the grinding, humming noise outside my window ... very noisy at night where you hear a motor from what I think is the aircon / generator or ventilation. I called the guy at reception to complain and he was sweet and apologetic, but really not his fault. The management at this hotel are awful to allow guests to have this experience. I also had a surprise at check in where you had to walk to another property about a hundred meters away to check in and have breakfast... I don't mind that, I can live with the tiny size If necessary, but the noise it unacceptable. There are no lifts and we have a lot of baggage. 😫😫 Three more nights of this - dreading this !!

I booked this through an alternative hotel booking site and what it didn't tell me is there are no lifts and no dining facilities on site. Firstly, I was met by a rather surly receptionist with no smile nor warm welcome. I was then informed that the breakfast was going to be serviced in their sister hotel, 10 doors down. Not a great aspect in the pouring rain... Secondly, I was informed that I would be in room 16 at the top of the 4 storey building, without lifts. As an able body person, that wasn't a big issue, after a night out in London and returning later, it was a little more. However, this is not suitable for the less able bodied individuals...The rooms are furnished to a high standard, comfortable, but a little noisy facing the front.
