Small room in old home -great location to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.

We have stayed here many times, and keep coming back because rooms are clean and very comfortable. Staff are helpful and willing to lend a hand. Breakfast is available, but we prefer to eat at one of the many spots along Praed Street. Location is great being a 9 minute walk from Paddington train station and Heathrow. You can walk to Hyde Park, Little Venice or take the Tube.

Stayed in London for 9 days--hotel was clean and quiet. Close to tube stations. Walking to tube stations and some restaurants and Hyde park. Hotel staff was EXTREMELY helpful getting us around to our destinations and bus trips. They helped us with our return taxi to the airport as well. We had tickets to the Monty Python reunion opening night at the O2--quite a way from the Cleveland. Not only did staff get us tube/ferry schedules to the O2 and back, they found bus line routes for us should we miss the last tube after the show. The staff are very conscientious, and they make the visitors' happiness their priority. Great place to stay for the money. Great place to stay for the staff!

Stayed here for 4 of my planned 5 nights, because the 4th night I woke up covered in bed bug bites. When I complained to management and asked to be transferred to another hotel, they were not initially pleasant about it, but they ultimately did transfer me to another nearby hotel, one not as nice as The Cleveland. A real disappointment, because the room actually had nice amenities -- a little kitchenette -- and a good location. This place was hard to find, though -- it took me about 40 minutes coming from the Paddington tube stop to locate it. Close to Hyde Park and the Leicester Square Tube.

Perfect location, good value for the money. Had my own bathroom and shower. However, the hotel overall and rooms are small.

Traveled to London for my birthday with my boyfriend. We enjoyed our stay here and will do so again. Great price and location. Very close to nearby restaursnts and Tube stations. Walking distance to parks. Love the in-room kitchenette! Staff were very helpful and Service was great!

Top floor, many stairs. Hard to get around in the room with the large bed in the middle. Air conditioning did not provide enough comfort. But, the hotel is in a nice spot and has a nice ambiance in the public areas. Friendly staff. Would try to get a larger suite-type room next time.

Had a nice stay there. A very clean hotel and very close to Paddington station.

stayed there for the last night in London. Location is really good, close to Paddington train station only 8 min s walk.

My last night was a woman screaming her head off at 12:00 at night. I was awakened by construction across the street every morning. The hotel room is spartan, like a school dormitory and the bathroom is a cubicle. I had to ask for A/C. The mattress is lumpy and the coverlet is a ratty looking thing. The elevator only goes to the 3rd floor, you have to walk the next two flights. The walls are very thin. The location is buried in Paddington. I would not recommend this hotel.

We arrived late at night, where a very polite and helpful man at the reception desk was expecting us. He served and helped us not only regarding our stay at the hotel but also about our enquiries for sightseeing and transportation. The staff was even helpful prior our arrival, through email conversations.

Staff excellent and helpful good amenities hotel clean and comfortable

My 18 year old granddaughter and I stayed in an "executive studio suite" room in early June, 2014. I am accustomed to free hotel shuttle service in my travels. The Cleveland has none, and taxis are quite expensive in London. We took the underground from the airport and had to lug our suitcases up 3 or 4 stairways and then several blocks in the rain from underground station to hotel. The room was tiny, but immaculately clean. Checking in was simple and personnel very friendly. This hotel has rooms for sleeping and nothing else. No cafe or shop or spa. We had two issues: one was that although there was a blow dryer, they had no adapters for American electronics such as iphones, curling irons, etc. We had to go out and find a place to purchase adapters. The other was the noise. We were awakened early every morning from other hotel patrons clamoring around in their rooms. Toilets flushing, showers running, doors slamming, etc. On the other hand, the location is a quiet, charming neighborhood where we felt safe. We had a wonderful time in London, but I would not choose the Cleveland for a return visit.

We spent 8 nights at The Cleveland in mid-May -- our room was very nice, just up the stairs from the reception desk. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had a kitchenette with refrig, microwave, cups, dishes and utensils. Within a 15 minute walk are tube stations, bus stops, grocery stores, a wide variety of restaurants, and Paddington station, very convenient to Heathrow Express. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was extra, but there was a Nespresso machine in reception available all the time. We would definitely stay again at The Cleveland.

The room was small, but contained every thing we needed. The staff was polite, helpful and dependable.I found the location close to three tube stations, expensive and inexpensive diverse eating options, banks, pubs and necessary items. Paddington Station was just a few blocks away and this made getting back and forth to the airport a no hassle experience.

Our room was spacious and well maintained. The staff was gracious and helpful. The Tube was nearby and transportation was easy to use. We totally enjoyed our stay at The Cleveland Hotel.

Small hotel that appears to have been recently remodeled and updated. Good location - only 10 minute walk to Bayswater tube station. Room was very clean and serviced every day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again if we ever go back to London.

Overall a good experience. A small disappointment as I saw the beautiful street and the hotel facing a lovely park, then was ushered into my basement room with a view of the light well. Oh well, can't expect the view with the cheap room. Also, the breakfast procedure (order the night before) wasn't explained to me, but that was fine because there were plenty of nearby options. The room had everything I needed and all was functional, except the heat, but I didn't ask for a tutorial, so it might have been easily remedied. It was mild weather, so I didn't bother. Very good value for central London. I'd stay there again.

It is in a lovely location, not far from Tube… a little park across the street. Good internet, friendly front staff. Great coffee in the reception area. I'd go again.

The room, while small by American standards, was functional, quiet, and spartanly furnished. It had no chair and no table other than a 3' by 2' side table to the bed that had a stool that slid under it. I used this as my desk during my two week stay. The bathroom was adequate and the shower was convenient. The kitchen appliances and utensils were sufficient for my needs I enjoyed my stay there and found no critical problems with the hotel or the personnel. The location in Bayswater is within easy walking distance of four Underground stations and there are several bus stops even closer. The neighborhood is upper middleclass, well lit and well maintained. Anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in London and wanting a luxurious room to enjoy should look to another hotel. If you want, as I did, a great place to sleep, dress, eat occasional meals, shower, and store my clothes and paraphernalia, the Cleveland Hotel fills the bill excellently.
