Been to stay here three times now with family and always receive a warm and friendly reception and good service ,very clean ,and helpful. will be shortly returning when next up in London. Good breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. Thank you All.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Yes, rooms are tiny but very nicely furnished. Staff are very helpful and more than accommodating (newspapers in reception!) . Walk to oxford street and hyde park in 15mins and plenlty of places to eat and drink around the area within a few mins walk. Why i might not stay again? noise...the street noise at the weekend is incredible and i was at a room by the side. if you are a light sleeper like me, dont think i can recommend it which is such a shame as its in a lovely spot with great staff. Rooms though can do with a better configuration and wouldnt like to be on the large side for entering the shower! no eating or drinking facilities on site bar breakfast but 2mins walk and you will be sorted
I have been traveling between Manchester and London for quite a lot, and I stayed in this lovely hotel for couple of times. The atmosphere here was great, I love the smell which made me feel cosy and comfortable. And the staff Angelo is the best guy there to help me. He helped to keep the room for me, and even with early or late check-ins. Definitely will stay here again!
Place where the hotel, close to Hyde Park, a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. Provide a variety of electrical outlets, including Chinese, European and British-style, convenient for customers. The disadvantage is that the room is too small, in addition to the same as the domestic hotel to provide free mineral water. Inconvenient and not through the slippers and toothbrush toothpaste.
the staff at reception are quite friendly and make you feel comfortable, specially Angelo and Camelia. room size is similar to what you get in other hotels in London, not that big but very clean. my favorite room is 008 on ground floor. definitely my first choice of hotel whenever I am in London.
Thank you for the great stay at the hotel. Location is priceless, a room in the heart of London for a reasonable price. It was just 5-10 mins walk to anywhere in central London. Room was well presented and clean. Porters were really helpful with the bags. Thanks to staffs at the Metropolis, special thanks to Geethu, she is well spoken, has a lovely smile and got the right attitude for customer service. I have stayed in 100s of hotels all over the world and she is a gem. Special thanks to the breakfast staffs as well, they were really friendly and positive. Well done Team Metropolis.
Clean room, very comfy bed, efficient and friendly staff. We were moved to here on arrival at their sister hotel due to building works and this was well managed. All staff we met were friendly and courteous and the waiter even remembered my son liked a poached egg for breakfast! Nice big bath sheets too. Our room overlooked the leafy road and was quiet at night.
The Metropolis is the only hotel my wife and I stay when we visit London! The clean rooms, great service and convenient location always brings us back. The location is a stone's throw away from Edgware Road itself, in between Paddington and Edgware Road underground stations. Approximately a 5 to 7 walk from either station. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the rooms are a decent size for London as well as being well priced. A tip is to book directly through the hotel website for the best deal, which usually includes breakfast. Just a couple of minor negatives this time. I'd informed customer services in advance that my wife and I were visiting for our anniversary. In the past we've had complimentary water, fruit in our room and the bed decorated with swans and rose petals. This wasn't provided to us this time around, not a huge deal but small touches make a big difference. Also, I felt that the orange juice at breakfast tasted a bit watered down. Definitely not the same as before, but maybe a different supplier now? Again, these are just minor points and we still had a wonderful stay but I guess honest feedback is the key to improvement. This is why I haven't given 5 stars on this occasion. Hope to visit again soon!
I was visiting London for a business trip. I am very satisfied with the service the hotel has provided to me. All the people working there are very kind and polite. At first I was in a single room in base floor, so I don't have a window there. The single rooms are really very small. The next day the hotel changed my room without any problems, I have changed my room to a double room in the last floor which was a very good room. The room was very clean, which is very important for me, with all the facilities you need. The breakfast place is small but with rather big range of good quality food, and tea and coffee is really good. And the best thing I love in this hotel is the phone provided with the room with the big amount of 4G data. I was using that phone for whole my stay there, it was really helpful! Thank you for that service! The hotel is very close to Oxford street, there are a lot of bus stations and metro stations near the hotel. Overall I am very happy and satisfied staying in this hotel!
