Run down. It is an interesting building, but not kept up. The toilets were not working so on a floor with 30 rooms there was one toilet for all the woman to share. The window in the room did not shut, so air and noise from the busy street came in. I have stayed in hostels before, and this is probably ok for single travelers, but not for families.

I’ve stayed at many hostels but this was by far the worst. The rooms were dirty, trash everywhere. They also smelled so bad, like a locker room. Just overall and dirty place. The staff member I attempted to check out sign was beyond rude. Idk you really get what you pay for sign this one.

The only good things about this hostel is the price and location. Otherwise, be prepared for something like school camp or uni accommodation, except worse. There are no separate bathroom spaces for women, and the showers have nowhere to place your clothes or toiletries in the cubicle except for outside the cubicle making privacy difficult. The showers are stupidly frustrating, making you push a button for 30 seconds or water at a time, and not very clean. The rooms are unnecessarily packed with three-layer bunks, leaving barely any room to put bags, which all end up in a mess in the middle of the room. There were only 2 power points at one side of the room for 30 people, so if you are unlucky enough to be at the top bunk on the other side of the room, forget about charging overnight. There is no kitchen space to make food, or fill up your bottle, meaning that you have to spend money eating out or ordering at the hostel and fill your bottle from the bathroom tap. The common area is always full of tired people with their bags waiting to check in because the check in time is at bloody 3pm, while check out, despite most places being a relaxed 10/11am, is BEFORE 9am and threatening a fine. The row of power points behind the dining table don't work, limiting charge spaces even more. The staff were bored and not very friendly. And unless you are a heavy sleeper, be prepared to wake up every 20 mins from people drunkenly stumbling in, and quite possibly vomiting on the floor.

We stayed there a total of six nights in one of their twin ensuites. Very clean room, staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay there again if I return to London.

The hostel as a whole was pretty large but 4 person dorm was quite small ands beds not very comfortable. Good housekeeping staff. Reception staff were pleasant and the food was fair, decent prices. Good location to metro & the bus

WiFi only works in the Common areas on the first floor.

We stayed in a two-bed bunk with private bathroom. Room was small and stuffy. Beds and toilet were clean. There was no chair or table. No soap or towel in bath. They said they charge 2 pounds for a towel and expect you to bring/buy your own soap/shower gel/shampoo. They asked extra 10 pounds for deposit and gave it back during check out. Pretty close to Elephant & Castle train station and underground stop. Do not have high expectations. All the place was very hot, you won't have heating problem. Wireless is only available in the common room/lobby, not in your room. Price is fair, not so cheap, not expensive. I recommend this place if you travel with your best buddy. If you plan to go with your spouse, look for a better place.

Girlfriend booked not realising there was no kitchen. If you're out sight-seeing like we were just grab dinner at a pub on your way back, there's limited options within a 10 minute walk from the hostel. Breakfast can be super busy, and wifi is average plus you need to stay in the lounge area to access it.

It is full of students and international persons. Its near from Elephant & Castle station and son rent bikes too. Found the room a bit small at the beggining but later thought it was just enough. Internet is looby only, or if you are placed on the first floors like -2 -1 or 1 you could maybe get it.

Clean, very helpful and friendly staff, central and easy to access the tube from. Would come again!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad that you liked the location of our hostel as we are very close to the city center. We have separate bathrooms on most of the floors, just on the first two they are mixed. You booked the cheapest room with 30 people where there are three-layer bunks. In all the other rooms we have just two-layer bunks. We don't have kitchen for guests but we have a restaurant where you can order food for £4 or £5. Our check-out time is not before 9am but till 10am and we are very flexible with it. Hope you enjoyed London anyway. Best regards, Vitek, reception

Hi Yusuf, Thank you for your honest review. We are aware that no wifi & soap in the rooms are an issue and as such we are currently in the process of rectifying. The bunk beds in our twins are for maximizing space within the cozy twin rooms however we understand that this can be uncomfortable for some. Thank you again for taking the time to write this review.

Hi! Thanks for the great review. Very happy that you liked the staff and location. Rather than a kitchen we have a restaurant, but yes opening hours are limited, something we hope to change in the future. Hope to see you again in the future!
