The first thing to say is the hotel has its own car park! Decent welcome by reception staff. Bedroom was clean and comfortable - although bathroom was a little 'tired'. Breakfast was good, staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The deal we had was good value for money. The hotel is on a bus route which takes you to the local underground station or a taxi will cost between £5 and £7.
I think the only problem is the decor which needs some sprucing up. Otherwise, everything was fine and in working order. The beds were nicely done. Extra fluffy towels provided. a bit of rust on the bathroom floor under the sink but this wasn't disgusting to look at. The shower was very powerful and the drainage in the bath was good! The highlight was the breakfast. Quite a good selection of foods. Most important is the manager on duty at breakfast - a lady called Elaine I believe. She was really nice and deserves an award.
Had an excellent stay . Hotel compact in size, but big in customer care and attention to detail. Thank you to all the reception staff.and breakfast staff in particular Eileen and Shopan who looked after us throughout our stay. Very good room with comfy bed. Normally stay in 5 star hotels in central London......this hotel is an excellent choice with lots happening nearby. Terry
Staff exceptional, really helpful, polite and courteous. Breakfast really nice, more than enough for us. I asked for points but got told that as I had booked through a third party , no points available. I asked if I had rang would they match price, they said yes.
Hotel what you would expect, staff at reception V good, room standard for this type of hotel. Needs modernising, my wife could not use the shower as the bath sides were so high. Kettle didn't work but my son and daughter were next door so used theirs. The advertised free breakfast as seen in pictures dotted around showing a full English, are misleading. We could not get anything like it at 8.10am. No bacon mushrooms etc. I ended up with crusty baked beans ( had to scrape them off the serving dish) and a small sausage. Staff either on a go slow or the manageress running round like a headless chicken. I am sure that had I made a fuss I would probably got some thing a little better, but I am aware of unwanted additives put into things when you make a fuss. Added to that time restraints meant we had to go. I just put it down to a bad experience and try to warn people off on this site.
Booked for a 2 night stay, wasn't pleased with the hotel Wasn't clean, no sockets near the bed, room smelt like it was smoked in heavily - room 308 needs a touch up as it looked more like a B&B and felt like it too. Breakfast staff were lovely, but the hotel in general was a disappointment, wouldn't recommend staying here.
This is a quite pleasant hotel and within easy reach of food outlets and a cinema; just my luck though, there was nothing on worth watching. The hotel is better for business than for its beautiful views, the best being that of the car park and some new restaurant under construction. It was also near a good bus route for access to where I needed to be. The hotel room was very clean, but a little dated. The main thing though is that everything in it worked; lights etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, unlike those of a nearby restaurant, reviewed separately.
Stayed here for one night to be close to an event I was attending in Finchley. Room was clean and comfortable, although a little dated. Check in was a little slow and could be improved. Location seemed good and close to restaurants and entertainment. Did not eat here but seemed to be a popular restaurant with people staying. Expected it to be a 3 star hotel and it was. No frills but comfortable.
Stayed here for the redbull soapbox, along with quiet a few others it seemed, check-in was quick and trouble free, all explained well by the gentleman behind the counter. Went for our day to london and returned rather late, back to the room, nice comfy bed, breakfast, wow, so much choice, fresh fruit, cerial, cooked breakfast was amazing for me, except my partner, she's a veggie and no veggie option of sausages, but the choice or everthing else more than made up for it on the Sunday morning and set us up for the day.
Hotel location is good for Finchley and Barnet, the hotel is old and in need of refurbishment, not what you expect und the Ramada brand, staff are friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of restaurants around.
