We move to this hotel from a terrible hotel in Seven Sisters Road.Yep, we move out from the hotel and move to this hotel ...I am responsible for the well being of my niece. This hotel ...What a nice, comfortable and CLEAN hotel. Very friendly and super breakfast.Where nobody asked you " Continental or English breakfast?" It is a breakfast with tlc. Will definitely go here again. German standard. Our room is small but very nicely decorated and did I say it is clean .Yes, it is clean ...spotless.And very friendly service.Nice area.
This was a good place to stay and I was very impressed with the staff of the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was good. Rooms are pretty small and the wifi is intermittent but it was clean and tidy and comfortable.
Yes the rooms are not large but so are most in this area. It is a lovely neighborhood with lots of local restaurants and the Paddington station within a short walk. For those on a budget this is hard to beat for a very clean & nicely decorated room with small twin beds and a small private bath. Most rooms require climbing stairs so keep that in mind if you are handicapped or disabled. Good wifi and has one universal electrical outlet to power your devices without needing an adapter. Comes with a small continental breakfast too.
Was stranded in London so needed a place to lay my head for the night, scoured some cheap-ish options near my place of work and this one seemed ok. Not bad for London & its location right near Paddington Station, but in all honesty I've stayed in cleaner hostels. Everything's all a bit "old" and shoved together, my bathroom looks like a cupboard... hey, for £50 in the centre of London what do you expect?
I booked this hotel because it said it had free parking. After a long day of traveling, arriving at the hotel I was very curtly told that not only was there no free parking, but there was no parking in general. The hotel staff tried to encourage me to park at a nearby church in the hopes that it didn't get towed...no. The closest car park was at least a 15 minute walk away and was 60 pounds a night. I explained this to the hotel staff and they were unwilling to work with us on any level, despite the fact that they had falsely advertised parking. I was forced to book another hotel that night, at almost 10:00 o'clock at night. I had to pay almost $50 in cab fare to return the key I took when we checked in before being told there was no parking. After not staying at their establishment because of the mix up and inability to park, they refused a refund. We eventually had to take it up with the credit card company which ultimately gave us our money back. Terrible business ethics.
Music was great both live and dj. Food was amazing. Champagne and canopies on arrival . Hotel across road was great to excellent way to see in new year. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff to. Had amazing time with friends and would definitely do again
We booked for one night as it was close to Paddington and Hyde Park. On arrival there was nobody at reception and we were left stood in the corridor for 5 mins until a member of staff arrived. He apologised and showed us to our room. The room was very small and at the front of the hotel; a few points which we noticed immediately - the room was very hot despite the fact that the window was not double glazed and was fully open. Secondly there was a lead plugged in on one side of the bed, which was, in my view unsafe so I removed it - it turned out to be for the Christmas lights which were outside on the railings outside our window. Next we found blood on one of the pillow slips which I then asked reception to change. The gentleman was extremely apologetic and gave us a fresh pillow. At night we found the room very noisy, with traffic on the road outside and also from neighbouring rooms. The room above us must have been occupied by a herd of elephants who, judging by the noise were stomping around in heavy boots or moving furniture. In the morning I awoke to find a few bites on my legs, which were either flea or bed bug bites. Breakfast was a completely bizarre experience - hotdog sausages, toasted ham & tomato sandwiches, bread covered with chopped eggs, peppers, onions and cheese, cakes, biscuits, cooked mushrooms with peppers and onions; very strange and all served in a room which was in the basement and seemed to double as a store for flooring materials. I hope they don't get a visit from the HSE or a Fire Officer as they would probably be shut down, what with the use of extension leads and a stained mattress left on the stairs. My advice, pay a bit more and go somewhere else.
Fine rooms and very helpful staff. The rooms are small, and especially the bathrooms are tiny, but the rooms are in fine conditions. The breakfast vas kind of strange though, and sometimes it's hard seeing what they where serving.
Friendly little hotel in the heart of London, close to Hyde park and Paddington underground. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Rooms are very clean and well kept, mattress and pillows were to firm for us so we woke up very stiff. Breakfast is downstairs in the basement which is the most unusual breakfast I've ever seen with various offering including mince pies, cakes, salad but there was Definately something that most people could eat. If travelling with a baby they don't offer travel cots or highchairs so bear this in mind - was no problem to us as our baby is happy to sleep with us. Anyone with mobility issues may struggle due to the sheer number of steps you need to climb to get to rooms. Overall we will Definately stay again (hopefully on softer pillows) :) for us it ticked the boxes.
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Piccolino! The room and bathroom were very clean, which is something high on my priority list. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, wanting to do anything they could to make sure we had a wonderful stay! It is in a lovely location; just a few blocks from the Paddington Underground and Train Stations. There are also plenty of eateries within easy walking distance. And, it is an easy walk from Hyde Park! What could be better?! The one downside is that there is no elevator, so you do have to be prepared to climb up and down stairs.
