Stayed here for one night on a Saturday night. The hotel was a reasonable price for London on a Saturday and the location was ok for what we needed too. On arrival I thought the hotel was really nice. I am now not so impressed with the hotel, unfortunately I left an item of clothing in the hotel. I realised this when I unpacked my bag when I got home the same day and called the hotel straight away. They denied having them, even though I know that I had left them there. So somebody had a good find. I'm disappointed to learn that their staff are clearly dishonest. I will not return purely for the principle of it.
Well have just returned from a fabulous trip to London. I booked here not really expecting it to be as amazing as it was. We were treated so well from the moment we walked into the hotel. Our room was upgraded which was absolutely amazing wish we hadve stayed 2 nights now in my princess bed 😀 Fontina is a lovely young lady and a credit to the hotel as were all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble at all we felt very special. We never had breakfast but this was only because we're not breakfast people. Most definitely coming back and hopefully very soon.
its a very good hotel for business, it provides free bottled water and fruits, coffee, tea and biscuits, the room was not tiny it was a good size and more for European standards, service was great I would stay there again
I really enjoyed this hotel on the weekends, they have an amazing service. Also, they provide you with a handy that you can take with you while sightseeing to keep you connected. The hotel has an interesting story behind it so it is interesting how they redecorated everything into a hotel. Very much enjoyed my stay!
Conveniently located when you are travelling from Paris with Eurostar arriving in St Pancras, this hotel is poorly decorated, rooms are painted with dark colors providing a dull ambiance. Front desk is efficient, prices are high like in any other London hotel.
I've stayed here once before. Although this time I'd booked London City Suites, it was the same hotel as Montcalm Brewery, at least that's where my room was allocated. I was given a Club Room as an upgrade for a special occasion, which was obviously appreciated. They didn't extend that to using the Club lounge, which wouldn't have made much difference to the hotel. I do like staying at this hotel, the staff are always courteous and approachable. The location is good. Handy for the tube and not that far from Liverpool Street either. All in all a positive experience and I would stay here again.
I was staying alone so I booked a single room on Agoda because it said it was the same size as a double room but with a single room. This was wrong and the room I was allocated was tiny, a very single room. I drew this to the attention of the management who moved me to a double room which was much better but still small had there been two of us. The bed and bathroom amenities were excellent although I did have a few minor issues and I felt this side of the Montcalm could not really be classed as 5*. When I raised my issues the next day everything was quickly resolved and this led me to stay a second night in the main hotel. The professionality of the staff and management in resolving my issues were wonderful and I doubt many hotels would be as accommodating as these guys. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Montcalm properties based on my experience
I staid here in business for the 1st time where I regularly stay in London and had a very mixed experience. Staff were great/1st class, were really helpful with a pleasant check in and out as well as help with bags and opening doors etc... Location is really convenient and not the busiest area. Everything is clean and modern in the room but the bed was very uncomfortable and my shoulder/back still hurts 2 days later where I didn't sleep well. I also found being on the first floor of the building that at 5:30am when the room above was getting ready it was very noisy as well as cars outside being somewhat noticeable. I additional had problems with the ac in that it was ice cold when first arriving and wouldn't respond to changes then very hot in the night where it gave up. I used the executive lounge which was very friendly again and had a Nespresso machine, soft drinks and some snacks with newspapers when I visited later in the evening. The room is very old that it's in and whilst that's nice it was far too dimly lot to read a paper and felt quite subdued. I also had room service but there was quite a limited menu and my pasta was cold and under cooked on arrival. The lady on checkout did refund this without any hassle. Overall great staff in terms of service but let down in a few areas and not for me.
Unfortunately I slept just one night in this hotel and I say unfortunately because everything was perfect. The position: you are in the core of London with three metro station at walking distance and the possibility to visit the main attraction in the simplest way The building: a careful project transformed an old brewery in a design hotel The rooms: my room was really large with a comfortable bed and really a well equipped bathroom. The minibar offered high quality products and also the kits offered to guests were outstanding (slippers, bathrobe, etc) The staff: a particular mention to people working there; they are really cooperative and kind. They did everything to let me enjoy a perfect experience in London City Suites, really more than my expectations. I didn't have breakfast but next time I'll also try it.
Stayed here the night after the LoveBox festival. Not a great deal of time spent in the actual hotel in all honesty. What I can say is the bed was amazing and comfy, the staff excellent and very attentive. Nice touch, with a free bottle of wine and chocolates, to day welcome, just a shame they got the wrong name on the card. Overall definitely recommend.
