I had previously stayed on 19th to 25th of sept 2017 and had an upstairs room. It was very clean and had all i needed with an over the bath shower and a huge marble tiled bathroom. This time on 23rd of october 2017 my daughter and i were given a down stairs room. The room was nice enough with high ceilng. But the bathroom was so small. The window was covered in dirt, cob webbs and spiders. There was dust all over the window ledge and the top of the toilet. Its not as tho the cleaners couldnt see it as there was a new toilet roll placed on top of the dust. The shower was a shallow tray with a curtain. It was so small i could not shower and im only a size 18.
Had two night stay. Quiet clean room with comfortable bed and excellent full English breakfast included. Helpful and friendly staff. Easy access to and from Heathrow airport and only a 15min walk to West Drayton railway station, giving easy access to Central London. Internet connection was a little hit and miss in the room we had but no problems in the hotels Public areas. Parking at the hotel can be an issue at busy times. Would definitely stay again.
Nice character hotel in a decent location.. Ideal for 1 night stop over for work.. Room 8 clean and tidy but way to hot.. Bathroom abit dated and in need of better run water in shower but I would stop again as price is fair for what you get 👌😊
Ok lets be completely honest, The Hotel looks good, its clean and well maintained, we had a problem with the toilet not flushing in my daughters room, they quickly changed her room (and let her old room out without fixing the toilet!). When we stayed for two nights, London was suffering a bit of very hot weather, but the hotel would not let us borrow a fan for my daughter, I had to go out and buy one to use for the night. The rooms were unbelievably hot, I was sweating just standing there in my room. It was much cooler outside, but the building seemed to retain all the heat. Neither my daughter or myself slept either of the two nights we stayed. Breakfast, according to reviews this is a great breakfast, what I got was ok but I have had better from a "greasy spoon on the A1", there is no ventilation in the dining room and with the heat this made eating hot food unpleasant. If there were tables outside in the paved courtyard, this would have been much more pleasant. The staff dont seem to care about the residents, which is a shame given that the facilities are so good. Although the bar wasnt open for the friday or saturday night we stayed, so they lost money as I went out instead. For the money we paid I would expect free wifi in the rooms but there isnt any, it didnt even work in the communal areas. Never mind, Macdonalds is just up the road and they have free wifi when you sit and have a coffee. Obviously we will not return and would recommend that people try elsewhere due to poor service and high costs.
Booked this hotel thru 'booking.com' for Saturday 8th July. Had confirmation from them. The wife and I arrived about 9.30 that evening to be told there was an issue with the booking. The guy in reception passed the the phone to speak to his manager. She informed me that they had tried to take the fee from my card and that it had been declined. They then sold the room to someone else. She offered no assistance at all to us.She was not troubled at all that we had travelled to London and at 9.30 we had no where to stay. She did not have the guts to tell me face to face. I have since been informed by my bank that no attempt to charge my card by the hotel was made. Fortuneatly, 'booking .com' found us alternative accommodation. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY, IF YOU DONT WANT THE SAME GRIEF THAT CAME OUR WAY.
I was in the area for a job interview and as soon as my wife and I walked in we were made to feel at home. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the whole hotel was clean and tidy and the hotel is so easy to find. The breakfast was better than in some of the so-called upmarket hotels and served by very attentive staff. If I had to say anything negative about the place it would be that the room was smaller than I am used to, but for the price it was superb. For a night stop around Heathrow Airport - consider this place first.
If you're looking for something that won't break the bank, close to Heathrow but without an 'airport' feel then give this place a go. Yes its not star but it's clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful; and a full English thrown in too. Tip: get there before 7pm to ensure you can park. If you like 'real' Indian food walk 10 mins to the De Burgh. Ignore the horrible facade, this is where to local Indian community eat and the food is fantastic.
I stayed here for 2 nights on room only for £53 a night. Frankly, the place is soulless and the communal areas dark, dingy, stale smelling and rather dusty . On a positive note, the bed linen was very clean and fresh as was the small shower and toilet. The room had patches that needed painting and a rather unrelaxing pale blue on the walls!. The bar was empty most of the time but someone was generally around. The staff were pleasant but no kire than that.
This place was not bad, you get what you pay for really. Just don't expect anything above that. One of the people staying at the same time as us had his motorcycle stolen from their car park within 7 hours of arriving at the hotel, the area is not great. I accidentally left my favourite scarf there and they never bothered to call or email. Not that they have to but it would be nice service if they had. The bed itself is super small and incredibly uncomfortable and the breakfasts are bland, bring hot sauce. But again this place is pretty cheap so you get what you pay for.
We were meeting friends at Heathrow and got offer from this hotel via Booking.com. We paid £59 including full breakfast. It represented very good value for money. It is easy to find about 5 minutes drive from M4 turn at Heathrow. No problem parking on site. A nice old building. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff on desk. We had Room 5 on first floor. Road facing, noisy road but no plane noise. Our room was compact with a good size bathroom / toilet. The first impression was very favourable. Bed linen crisp and white. Clean towels on bed with toiletries plenty. Coffee / tea making facilities in room. Our main problem was the noise of a TV in a room nearby into the night. Surprised about the noise given the thick walls. My wife described the room as claustrophobic, I didn't have problem with it myself. The breakfast was excellent, well cooked and served by lovely friendly staff. Would use it again but maybe have a bigger room.
