We learned on our final evening that our front door lock was not functioning. When we reported it to front desk, they said that cleaning staff had earlier that day brought it to their attention, but no one ever let us know that our room was open the whole time we were away from the room. When we returned to the room and noticed the problem, we had to quickly pack and switch rooms and rush to our dinner reservation. We are most disappointed that despite *knowing* that our door did not lock by their own admission, no one from the hotel bothered to bring it to our attention. When we expressed concern about this, the front desk staffer was rude and took no accountability. To top it off, the room and bathroom were tiny.

Mildew in the bathroom, weird smells, not pleasant.

The Ibis Styles is a block from Earls Court station which makes it ideal for travelers taking the tube from Heathrow. The rooms are clean albeit comically tiny, and breakfast is free. If you need a clean place to lay your head this is it. I've stayed here three times and I found that the price can vary considerably. I'll stay here again if/when the price is right, but probably choose something a bit more comfy if they're charging premium rates.

Overall I gave 3 stars. The location is great. Front desk personnel was inattentive. They need to hire people who greet you with a smile on their face, and at least pretend they are happy you chose their hotel. Would make a big difference. Our room was extremely small, barely any room around our bed. Bathroom was very small, shower filled up with water very quick so you could not enjoy a nice relaxing shower having to worry about the water spilling out. Room was modest and clean, no safe in room. Our room had street view (205). Little noisy at night and in the morning but it didn't bother us. We left the window open for a nice breeze. I have to say I slept really good in their bed even though it was nothing fancy. My reason of booking at is hotel was its location. I read the reviews but still could not believe how tiny those rooms were. The hotel was 2min walk from Earl's court tube station. Great way of getting around. You should take the tube from Heathrow (Picadilly line to Earl's Court) that is fast and much cheaper than taking a taxi. Buy an Oyster card for traveling, it gives you good discount. There are many cafés, restaurants by Earl's court. Try the "Muffin Man" which is about 10 min walk. Hyde park is 20-25min walk. Tube takes you to all tourist attractions. If you prefer spacious rooms this place is not for you. We really just used the room to shower, and sleep in which was fine for. Loved the location. There are better restaurants on Old Brompton Rd SE from the hotel. There is no free internet/wifi at the hotel, no early check-in, and they charge for storing your luggage if needed after check out. Our stay was ok, but for next visit I will book a different hotel in the same area with larger rooms, and friendlier hotel staff. Would recommend it solely for its location.

Very close to metro, yet on a quiet street. Comfortable beds. Many restaurants nearby. Self service laundry down the street. Will stay there again. Wifi not free, but reasonable.

If you want to get ripped off while sleeping in a dirty dungeon, then book this hotel. They charge 20 pounds for 24 hours of Internet. It's a rip off joint. Stay away.

Very small room but clean. The hotel is in a short walking distance to the tube (Picadilly Line). We didn't have breakfast and you have really a nice environment with good occasion for breakfast, Pubs and so on

It was close to the subway so it made getting around convenient. The hotel lobby decor was completely different from the outdated room we got. Ours was next to the restaurant and felt like a dungeon. No windows in bathroom so it was always damp after a shower. Lighting was dark, carpet was old and fixtures were rusty.

Expected small room, but it was clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and that is saying something as it was a double and we have a king size. The staff was super helpful - the least expensive way to get around (underground) and answered any questions us as first time visitors put to them. Again, you don't spend much time in room so can't see the issue. We had a great time!

Clean, great service and friendly staff, excellent location! Just a three-minute walk from the Earls Court tube station. Room was small, but comfortable. Very good price. If you're looking for a good place to sleep at night after a long day of sight-seeing, this is a great choice.

This hotel is good for the money but would not stay again.

Hotel located very close to Earls Court Station on Piccadilly Line. Easy access to Central London and most sights. Hotel was a group of individual residences. Room was small but clean and adequate. Friendly staff. Neighborhood had many pubs and restaurants, and was quite lively. I would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling with teenagers and those looking for a good value.

Rooms are very small, but location is great - you travel to and from from Heathrow airport directly on Piccalilli line. There is multiple restaurants, grocery shops, bank and money exchange around. Connection to the center is easy. But rooms are small so it's good if you use it just for place to sleep at night as we did, but if you travel with kids or want to spend more time in the room it's probably not a good idea. Breakfast is not included but there is many places around where you can eat.

The hotel was very basic, but clean and quiet. Location is superb, half a block from the Earl's Court tube station, which has three different lines. My only complaint was a lack of a real coffemaker, but instant coffee, tea and an electric hotpot were provided. All in all, a good choice for people who have some familiarity with London, and wanting to travel on a budget.

This hotel is in a *great* location. Short walk to the Tube as well as convenience stores, food and other services. Staff ranged from indifferent to very polite...just depends on who you are talking to at the time. Rooms do not match the look and feel of the lobby area and are really basic. The cheapest room that comes in a package deal was so tiny it forced me to purchase an upgrade at forty pounds per night. The internet at the hotel was literally not much faster than dial-up. So forget about using Skype to call back home. I mentioned that at checkout and they acknowledged it is slow at times, but made no effort to actually fix the issue. NOTE: I ran bandwidth tests on their WiFi and it never got not much more than 100kbps (that's right 100k per second, not megabytes) in my room.

Rooms on the 4th floor are extremely small. Service was decent.

The hotel was great for the price. The location was good. The staff were nice and helpful. Nice Lobby. The room itself was simple and small. We had a balcony room so it made all the difference. I would stay here again.

very bad

This hotel should never say their rooms accomodate 3 adults. I was travelling with my 2 sons, 18 & 20, and we were living in a match box. Bad plumbing. For the price I paid, I expected much, much better. We hit a heat wave with no air, except in the lobby?? The staff never smiled once.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the Earl's Court tube station and near several bars and restaurants. The hotel was very small by U.S. standards but was adequate for us as we were just using it as a place to crash at night. It was quite hot and there was no air conditioning, but I think that is common in the area. Overall, don't set your expectations too high, but the hotel will serve you well for touring London.
