the evening manager, we called him E, was simply amazing. Other than E, the hotel was very below average. Location was great near the tube, cab access and stores for amenities you may forgot to pack. If you stay, do not get room 56. Worst room on planet. Friends were in room 11 and it was normal size, but hot with no breeze from the window.

I read lots of negative reviews about this place but I am unsure of why as it was the opposite of what I read. Room was very clean, staff was very friendly and there is no way you can beat the location of this hotel. The carpet needs replaced but it is not 5-star and I knew that going in so I was not disappointed. I would stay there again!

Stayed for a week, as I had pre-paid. Great location near Bayswater tube station, but the condition of the hotel beyond the lobby was revolting. Carpets threadbare and unclean, window opening onto a bare brick wall, room so small that I could not open a suitcase other than to lay it on the bed. Telephone cord ran over the headboard and under the matress! Walls paper thin - I could hear every word and movement from the neighboring room. Liquid soap dispensers in bathroom of dubious quality. Noisy renovations going on in the adjacent portion of the building. The Tube runs directly under the building, so there was vibration noise much of the day. Spent as little time in the room as possible, and would NEVER stay there again.

I was really looking forward to staying in this hotel. The location was ideal to get around and see the sights. All of the reviews that I was able to read said that the main problem was that the rooms were small. I live in NYC so I was not worried about a smaller hotel room. Plus I was a single traveler so I did not see a problem. The first night was fine, the bed was a old and not very comfortable but it was doable. I was woken up at 8am by someone knocking on my door, now keep in mind I was still on NYC time. They then told me that they needed me to change rooms because they need to started construction on the whole floor that I was staying on. Well I was not pleased but I figured don't raise a fuss your on vacation. So the second room they put me in was not special but it was a much better bed to sleep on. The next morning I was again woken up at 8 am butbthis time it was the construction workers above me doing demo work on the room directly above me. I was not thrilled yet again but it forced me to get up early and go and see the sights. Everything was ok until on the 4th day while I was in the shower the work was still going on above me, I came out of the shower to find the there was a pipe leaking on my bed. At this point I was getting very annoyed with this hotel, they moved me into my 3rd room. This room was the worst of all, not only was the bed very uncomfortable, the wifi did not work in my room. So to do any emails or Skype I had to walk to the front lobby. This was not ideal any way you look at it. You would think that at this point after 3 rooms and all if the problems that I had made the front desk aware of that someone from the management team would check in on me and see if everything was fine. Not one word!! All I have is an email of their cotsumer sevice rep. I will never be staying with this hotel again.

For the price the room is small. A down a flight of stairs hike to the room .Who ever does the handywork don't now what they are doing .However the location is outstanding .

Not the nicest hotel. But was quiet.

Room was not thoroughly clean. Pictures of hotel do not reflect what it actually looks like inside! Staff said my reservation was canceled - which was their mistake - and were inefficient. Location good.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone

was our first time in London , the location of the hotel was great, but we dont know ahy, the hotel was shaking..at night..yes shaking!!maybe is located nearby the subway or something.. the hotel is clean, staff was ok,

The rooms were dirty and about the size of a very small match box. I would not stay here again even if it was FREE.

Location is very good.

While in a great location in the Bayswater neighborhood of London (and only two short blocks from the Bayswater stop on the District Underground line), the Hyde Park Towers Hotel is certainly geared more toward those on a budget and looking for a no-frills place to sleep. The staff certainly was friendly enough and the neighborhood is quiet and doesn't feel like a tourist trap. What was missing, though, were a window with screens, washcloths, a safe, a working TV, decent shampoo/conditioner, and space to spread out. All in all, not a place to which I would return, but for an affordable place to stay during a busy time in London, it worked.

The hotel was close to train stations but gave complicated directions on how to get there by train. It was a good location for little shops and parks. No air conditioning and very tiny bathroom. No walking directions from major places either. In general it was nice.

First of all, the rooms were filthy, beds old and uncomfortable, carpet filthy, bathroom tiles broken, no soap in the shower and the bottle of soap by the basin, I had to rip it off so I could use it in the shower, just to find out that the soup was watered down. Hair dryer did not work, TV did not work. This was the worse experience I ever had, and very noisy, you hear the squeaks of the floor above the room, and all the noise of the street. You should research the hotels, before you recommend them, this hotel does not deserve more than 1 star. Maybe good for back packers, which is what goes there. I am very very disappointed and would never recommend your business to anyone, the only reason we stayed was because the trip was already paid for. The staff ( meaning the cleaning people) hardly spoke English, they are all Hungarians. Nice girls, but no clue as of how to clean a room, I used the plastic cups provided, and they were never retrieved from the room, they thought one should re-use them. The cups provided for coffee, were only rinsed and not washed, NOT ACCEPTABLE.

the staff was lovely but the italien kids they allowed to book their holiday there (en-masse) were horrible. very loud and obnoxious-late into the night. i was told this was a first and probably a last time and of course how could they know the kids would be so disruptive....but i would inquire if student groups are booked during the time you wish to spend there. new carpet in the rooms would be nice too.

Hotel is in need of urgent renovation, don't trust the pictures on the internetpage. Rooms are old and don't deserve more than one star. Location is ok, close to tube.

Unbelievably small rooms, overpriced, and generally uncomfortable. You can always hear the creaking in the floors above and below you. The TV was tiny with only a few channels to watch. The bathroom was literally about 7-8 square feet including the shower area! Do not reserve here. The room felt like a jail cell. I guarantee you that a Motel 6 in the states is more comfortable!

good value for money helpful and friendly staff rooms' size is good compared to other 3 star hotels in London the hotel is very close to restaurants/cafes, shops and a couple of tube stations hotel is also close to the center

The overall experience was good. The best part of this hotel is its close proximity to the tube station. It was freezing cold and snowing each day and it was a very quick walk across the street to catch the train. The free breakfast was very good as well. The rooms were quite small but we expected this based on the hotel photos. The shower was a very good size though. My biggest gripe is that there were no clocks in the hotel rooms (seriously, what kind of hotel DOESN'T have clocks!?). We came from overseas so our cell phones did not work. We asked on 2 different days for a wake up call from the front desk and neither time did we receive one. This was EXTREMELY frustrating as we didn't have any other method of waking up, and the lack of clocks is akin to having a bed without any pillows and blankets. You get what you pay for though. The hotel was very reasonabley priced and tge beds were very comfortable

Great location within walking distance to 2 UG stations. Fantastic cusines esp Chinese around the area. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, the room well cleaned everyday, great choice of breakfast. A definite choice for my next visit to London. Keep up the good work!
