My favorite for many years at LHR, Location great for all of MY necessities

Holiday Inn should fix broken faucets, toilet not flashing and transportation to and from hotel to the airport is charged but advertised as free of charge.

Great location, great staff great price. A bit more is hereby added to my review.

Great location, great staff great price. A bit more is hereby added to my review.

The staff at the front desk was great including showing kindness towards a challenged older gentleman who just wanted someone to listen to his jokes and laugh which they did for 45 minutes. On top of being professional and making sure everyone was taken care of. Kiddos.

I arrived late in the day and did not feel very well after the travelling. The staff were wonderful. Hotels designed To serve the business/ travellers market with quick customer turnover are usually impersonal with staff never really looking at you! Not here, an excellent team with good customer service. They can step up to The Savoy Anyday!! Thank you Patricia Gara

Convenient location, with shuttles to the Heathrow Airport easily available both ways and throughout the day for a small fee. Terribly designed bathtub faucet - does NOT mix very hot and very cold water. They simply come out simultaneously from the same faucet as two separate streams, making it impossible to wash/clean anything. Terrible oversight. Also, the shower cap keeps dripping non-stop.

The location of this hotel was convenient for an early morning departure from Heathrow but that's about all I can say for this property. The room (1 double bed) was tiny and my husband and I had to negotiate every move because we could hardly fit ourselves and our 2 large suitcases in the room. There was a foul odor coming from the drain in the bathroom sink, and the light over the bathroom sink was burned out. The receptionist told us at check-in that Wifi was free but we found out later that it's free only for members of Holiday Inn.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were lovely. However, it cost money to hook up the phone as ours wasn't working on their wifi which I believe also cost to have operational. Also, we ordered minimum dinner at their restaurant as there was nothing else near and it was super expensive. I only had soup, veggies and a glass of wine and my sister had a small dinner and a roll and a drink. It totalled over $70 US. Just surprised that it was so expensive. Waiter was super, though. We had spent 10 days in UK and never had that high a bill ever for a minimum dinner.

For the same price there half a dozen other hotels in the same area that are newer, in better condition, cleaner, and with staff that don't almost universally have an attitude. (Really - an attitude when they're working at a Holiday Inn?!) That's not to say it's a terrible hotel. It's just not the best option for the money. It's an ok choice if nothing else is available.

Nothing good or bad to say about the hotel. They don't believe in heat, I'll tell you that. Shower was warm but not hot and the room never heated up to my liking the thermometer was preset by the hotel. Other than that, it was a nice stay, good strong wifi and nice staff.

The HI Express Ariel is clearly living on borrowed time. It's old. They're doing the minimum they can to maintain it and squeeze the last $ possible out of it. Obviously, any hotel near Heathrow is going to be expensive, but beyond simple cost there is cost-benefit, and I don't see the benefit at this place. The standard rooms are very small, with barely enough room to fit down the side of the bed or along the end of it abutting the "desk" with the TV mounted on the wall above it. It's like a Japanese business hotel room, but without the thoughtful layout and clean facilities or attentive/useful staff. In my case, the bathroom reeked of mold and there was visible mold in many places along edges. The walls are paper thin. I could hear absolutely everything on both sides. The restaurant staff are obnoxious and the bar staff had trouble making the most basic of drinks. Check in was fine, so that's a positive. By shuttle, it's about ~20 minutes from T4 & T5. Cab is ~10 minutes. Take ~5 minutes off for T 1, 2, & 3. If it's all you can afford and you just need a place to sleep for the night then I'd maybe try it a second time (after checking again that nothing else was available) but I wouldn't otherwise expect I'd ever visit the place again. It's not terrible. It's just really mediocre for a lot of money.

Just stayed one night in transit between Ireland and home. Was able to check in very late, due to a late flight, and the room was comfortable and clean. Price was decent, too, considering the location. Cool round building.

Good experience. Clean room, no frills but good comfort. Easy to get to from the hotel on the Hotel Hoppa once we figured it out. Bus 555 also stops there and is free.

Reasonable value for money - great staff, okay hotel stay

Best part was the reception staff. So very helpful.

I landed in London at 4pm and wasn't flying out until 8:45am the next day, so an easy and affordable hotel was what I was looking for. London Heathrow Holliday Inn Ariel was in a perfect location, at a great price. I will say that although there was a free shuttle advertised, you actually have to pay 4pounds for a one way bus ticket to get to and from the airport. And there is no continental breakfast offered, but the rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. I'll go back there for sure if the occasion arrises again.

Not what I expected. The value did not meet my expectation.

Location was very convenient to airport and AVIS/Budget rental car where I had rented. So I just walked over to the hotel after I had returned the vehicle late in the evening. Only drawbacks were the internet usage charge and lack of coin laundry. There should be an option between 1hr or 24hr internet charge for those that are just staying to catch the morning flight.

Hotel was OK, biggest advantage is that like many other hotels near Heathrow there is a bus that runs twice every hour and takes you to the airport. Nothing special, but it worked for me.
