Holiday Inn Express London Heathrow T5

I was sent to a room that was already occupied. When I returned to change that, I was sent to a room without working outlets (fuses had blown).

Worked well for brief stay while connecting through Heathrow

Had an excellent stay in Holiday Inn Express near Heathrow airport. Very conveniently located near the airport. Nice clean and spacious room. Kids friendly. Loved the continental breakfast. Strongly recommend.

As a business traveller this was an average hotel to spend an overnight layover. Unfortunately the location advertised is not correct. I understood it to be located at terminal 5, not closest to terminal 5. It was a 15 minute 5 pound bus ride away.

Unless you are familiar with London transportation system, the location may not be easy for a visitor to find without asking local people. Front desk male representatives are almost impolite and unfriendly.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and it is currently my preferred hotel for flying through Heathrow. This is a great value hotel. It has a reasonable price, Free WIFI, and a superb breakfast with continental pastries, bread, English Breakfast (Sausage, beans, scrambled egg), fruits, yoghurts, and a vast array of drink choices. If you have ever stayed in an Americal HI Express, this breakfast is in a completely different league. They even have proper plates, bowl, cups, and cutlery. None of that American paper/styro stuff. The location is extremely convenient if you fly through Terminal 5, but due to changes with the Hotel Hoppa service, you cannot access the hotel directly from the other terminals. This is not a huge problem because you can use the free Heathrow Express to move between the terminals, or simply use the Underground to go between terminal 5 and London (Piccadilly Line, ~1 hr). So, if you fly United to Terminal 2 (the awesome new one), you take the express to terminal 5, and the hoppa to this hotel. If you are staying for more than a few nights, the lack of real clothing storage (minimalist euro style) might be an issue for some, but for a short stay this is not an issue because most of use our suitcases anyway. The hotel has a pizza restaurant, but my recommendation is that you visit "The Ostrich" or "Olde George" pubs in Colnebrook, about 15 minutes walk away if you can. The Ostrich has more creative food than the Olde George, which serves more traditional pub grub.

The Hotel has good location for overnight transit stay near Terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport. The rooms had clean bathrooms with good quality linen but all soft pillows. Pricing was a good value that included free breakfast. Beds were less than comfortable. Rooms lacked a lot of amenities normally expected in in this brand. Each room was very inadequately furnished - only one Desk chair and no other sitting furniture or luggage rack. There was no rack/closet to hang clothes and no iron/ironing board.

Great value for an overnight layover at Heathrow. Clean, simple, convenient. Just grab the hopper bus from T5 and 20 minutes later you in front of the hotel. Excellent value for the money. Rooms are very clean, breakfast is OK.

I was a bit scared reading all the earlier reviews about the hotel staff. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The mattress could be a bit better but OK for short stays. The complimentary breakfast was awesome with a large selection of popular breakfast items. I will definitely stay here again for my next trip through Heathrow. The Hoppa bus connection makes commuting to and from the hotel very convenient as well.

We arrived very late on Christmas Eve. Staff reopened the bar to get us some bubbly for the night.

My wife and daughter stayed at the hotel. After arriving late in the evening although the hotel was only 3 miles from the airport, the only option to get there was a taxi. The taxi required a round trip payment so it cot over $ 40.00 to take a 5 minute ride. No one at the hotel could care less. overall the staff was not helpful. The elevator was so small it took 4 trips to get the bags to the room.

We booked this hotel because we had an early flight out of Heathrow. The hotel is very near the airport. The bus picked us up right at the hotel which made things very convenient. It cost 4.70 Euro per person one way. The hotel lobby is bright and clean. The room was very nice. It looked like the bathroom has been recently updated. They offer a hot breakfast ready to go, although we didn't have a chance to eat that. I would recommend this hotel.

Note that those booking should map the location first, as this hotel is not directly connected (or all that close) to Terminal 5. If you're stuck overnight at Heathrow as we were, the Sofitel Terminal 5 is a much better choice. I thought the marketing of ''Heathrow T5'' in the title was misleading.

Needed to stay overnight in London due to missed connecting flight. Check-in was at 2pm. We waited with a dozen or more other travellers for several hours until this time to be able to check-in. Room was modern, nice. Desk staff was friendly, EXCEPT for the desk manager who was a rather aggressive man who DEMANDED to know which of his staff gave me a free coupon for WiFi access. He gave a bad impression. WiFi is normally 10 GBP (WAY overpriced; should be free!). Breakfast was buffe style, eggs, sausage, toast, croissants (regular and chocolate). Decent stuff. Went out for dinner -- walked about 30mins to a really nice indian place called "The India".

Terrible - felt the website was very misleading. I am very disappointed with location -having to pay to get to the hotel. Other hotels I booked where right on train line or walking distance.Waited over an hour for them to come to get us from the airport. Very upset!

After getting into Heathrow late, perfect place to crash. Extremely comfortable and large room. Nice free breakfast.

I spent one night waiting for my tripnto Italy and the hotel is clean, safe and close tonthe airport and very accesible

Pleasant welcoming staff. The minimally furnished but clean room was in the back ,down long corridors so dragging suitcases was a workout. Present was a horizontal upper half window with minimal natural light , covered with a sheer curtain designed to remain in place presumably to block the view of the rear parking lot which could not be seen unless on tiptoes. Rather grim. Friends stayed in a front room, large, bright , with a street view and even a sofa.. Ask for a room near an elevator and in the front. Breakfast was generous with many selections. Complementary newspapers. Convenient hoppa bus to Heathrow.

We stopped back on our way to the states. Nice hotel but not if you are going to Terminal 4.

Location is perfect, breakfast is good, price was right.
