Heathrow / Windsor Marriott Hotel

We originally booked the Windsor Marriott because it was close to the airport and a very reasonable price. We were not sure what we would get for our money, but it was above and beyond what we expected. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, gracious, and even managed to get us into our rooms before check-out for the previous night was over. The room was all that we have come to expect from Marriott--clean, up-to-date, comfortable. The food, in particular the breakfast, was excellent and the wait staff as well. The reception staff and concierge were particularly helpful in helping us maneuver between returning our rental, heading into the city, returning to the hotel, and again heading to the airport for departure. The concierge was friendly and on-the-lookout for ways to be helpful. All in all, this was a delightful and worry-free stay.

Great experience. Staff was very helpful and room was clean

Very helpful staff and the rooms are very clean.

About ~5 miles to the Car Rental places for Heathrow. Room we had was Very Quiet (we were ground floor). Restaurant/Bar was good value (even though there was a Harvester Pub local... it wasn't worth walking to). Overall, an excellent place for a night before an International flight. Would definitely use again.

Clean hotel. The only downside is the exercise room closed time should be extended.

When I stayed at an "airport" hotel, I was a bit skeptical. However, this Marriott blew my expectations away. The location is very nice and quite quiet, near Windsor if you're planning to visit the castle or Eton. Also, the amenities were excellent - I even had a bathrobe and slippers! :) Finally, the staff were the friendliest I've met in the Marriott chain, and I've met quite a few. My plane arrived early and I was allowed to check in early - the staff didn't make a fuss, they were extremely helpful. The concierge was also excellent and helpful. A great experience and a real deal!

The staff was more than helpful and accomodations were excellent. It was just a short cab ride away from Windsor Castle, which we took advantage of. We didn't try the food, as there were no vegetarian selections for me and that was the only thing that could have made it better. But there were plenty of restaurants by Windsor Castle. I would definately go back to this hotel next time.

Hotel room was fine, restaurant Ok but ai thought it a bit much when I had to pay 6 pounds to use their wireless connection for one hour. I travel fregquently and rarely have to pay (can only remember once or twice and never this much). How can a hostal in rural Bolivia provide free internet and this place can't???

I expected more. The images on the website gave the impression of beautiful vistas of the river. They must have had a powerful zoom lens. The location was pretty central and within walking distance to most local attractions, but my overall impression may have been colored somewhat by my general disappointment in Lisbon. The city needs a good scrubbing and a coat of paint. It could be beautiful, but is pretty gritty.

Is a nice place.

The only drawback from this experience is they charge you if you removed any items from the frigerator, which was odd since we tried to empty space to put a child's milk in, but got chareged for removing the item. Talked to front desk about it, and they said they will take care of it.

The Marriott Windsor Heathrow is a quality hotel. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned, and the hotel staff are friendly. However, I would not recommend it unless you are staying for only one night to be close to the airport. One downside is the hotel was a bit hard to find. Our London cabbie, after roaming around, had to stop at the Mariott Heathrow for directions. Also, you are not within waliking distance of shops, etc. and there is no shop in the hotel.
