Grange Wellington Hotel

I was was pleasantly surprised by the elegance of the hotel. Only problem was we had to climb four. Flights of stairs to our room- no lift at hotel. This was a killer for me after walking all overLondon to sightsee.

Standard renovated bedrooms are really small. No elevator as far as now.

Staff was very accomodating. Bed / Sink / TV was all I needed. Bath/Shower room was always clean. Breakfast was nothing to speak of.

Although this hotel is very old, the rooms were clean and the location was great. The bathrooms aren't located in the rooms, however, they are remodeled and kept very clean.

I've never stayed at a place that did not have a bathroom in the room...the women's was all the way down the hall with noise floors so I'm sure I woke people up when I had to walk to the bathroom. Windows did not keep cold air or traffic noise out. When the people in the next room would open their door it would slightly open ours. Thank goodness it was for only one night.

Location is excellent. Room is clean. Breakfast is included. Men's shower room needs some work. Also check in time is 2 pm.

Overall the hotel is good for it's value. Pro: 1. Good values for the price 2. Breakfast included 3. Bathrooms and showers are extremely clean 4. 10-15 min walk to Victoria 5. Safe and quiet Con: 1. No Elevator 2. Have to pay for internet and no wireless (If you must use your personal laptop for internet access, then you have to go next door hotel) Bottom line: It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel, so don't expect too much, but you will get everything basic that you need from there. It's decent if you need a place to sleep for a night or two. People who lives in the hotels are pretty nice, too. I made quiet few friends during my stay there.

This Hotel wasnt exactly what I expected but I liked it nonetheless. Good deal. Good location. Good service.

Good solution for backpackers. Value for money.

The staff was very nice but the place has 'seen better days'. It needs a paint job on the inside and some NEW carpeting in the rooms. It is an ex-hostel for students and SHOULD be advertised that way. It is very like a YHA and one needs to be told this. I was expecting a REAL hotel. It was nice that breakfast was offered. Once I realized that it was not a hotel, I was OK with the place and would stay there again.

I am not picky but this more like a student hostel than an hotel. So the price is low, no question, but expect very little.

This hotel was an absolute nightmare. It was dirty, smelly, had insects and practically no services were available. It was run down with poor bedding, dirty windows and dirty walls and floors. The bathroom was to be shared by many guests. It was so terrible that I did not stay there with my young grand daughter. Guests were required to bring their luggage to the front desk every morning. I arrived before I was due to arrive and left within a half hour. The Wellington was the worst hotel I have ever experienced and I have been on every continent.
