The Property was well taken care of. Staff was nice. Rooms clean. Food good. Wifi. Roof bar enjoyable and their staff was great too. We were cautioned that room size was not as big as other hotels - so that is true. If you go for ambiance then this is the place. if you go for eminities - then this may not be for you.
The hotel boat concept is good and fun for younger people but not really confortable for anybody traveling with something more than a backpack. The pictures do not lie, the rooms are small so my poor rating has nothing to do with that. All the rugs, and I mean all the rugs, are filthy!!!!! The rugs are mainly a tan color in the rooms and along the halls. Very large stains every where!!!! Stains that I think would easily come out with steam cleaning. I was there a week at the excel for a convention so all the hotels in the vicinity were full so I could not switch. All the stains were there the entire time, especially the large one close by the second floor elevator. When I used the the bathroom for the first time there were two dry urine drops on the seat. Luckily I always travel with wipes and a travel size Lysol bottle. I will say that the people at the front desk were VERY nice! Everybody else didn’t even say good morning. I opted for the breakfast buffet and that was actually very good. But the people at the buffet were very quick to ask you for your room number but no hello or good morning when you walk up or leave.
