Worth every penny lovely hotel nice and warm place was clean bed was very comfy and secure lovely blinds to block the Sun out for the price decent size room would love to stay again situated in a very good location aswel not far from food shops and store conveniences
We checked in and promptly got a room that smelled very strong on cigarette smoke. Also, one bed was blocking the way into the room! We had to climb over it to get in. That’s how they set it up. I complained and got a different room on the 2nd floor. There, in the new room were 2 windows facing a busy 4 lane highway about 60’ away. The noise was so loud that I felt that I’m sleeping on the Highway. We opened and closed the windows and there was no difference in noise level. It was so loud as if there were no windows at all! We tried sleeping, my wife and daughter eventually fell unconscious, I had to make do without sleep. Due to the high noise level. The heating consists of a plug in radiator. Since the hotel staff leaves it unplugged during the day, by the time we get into our room in the evening, it was about 3 degrees. I plugged it in and shivered in bed for about 4 hours, since it takes that long for the ice cold brick walls to heat up. Also the windows had huge gaps, which didn’t help. The bathroom had a locked hatch about half way up the wall and cigarette smoke was seeping out of the gaps. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work, the overall appearance of the bathroom was scruffy and most things were broken. The staff was professional and friendly, and to my regret I didn’t request another room again, but I’m not sure if any of the other rooms were better since I could hear other guests struggling with their sticky room doors.
We had a family room that was the most cramped family room we experienced in all of our 3 week stay in Europe. The toilet mal-functioned, but the staff was quick to attend to it. Breakfast was too expensive so we went down the street to a coffee house. We had to pay for internet connection for each of our devises.....only place in 3 weeks of traveling that we had to do that. The staff was often too busy to give you the time of day or answer your questions. Sad. Hotel was close to the metro which was the best thing about staying here.
Nice hotel and comfortable Location. I felt safe in the area. a lot of people and many pubs as well a few minutes walking. Metro close by. Rooms are nice and comfortable , but poor of furniture. I suggest it if want safe money.
Staff are rude. During check in they talked amongst themselves in a different language and acted like we were intruding on their social time. Room was filthy and tiny. Disgusting actually. There was so much noise in the morning we left by 8.30am as there was no point in staying in such a tiny, dirty room with so much noise. We complained on check out and the receptionist shrugged her shoulders and said it was beyond her control. Totally awful. Don’t waste your money. It looks cheap but it’s not worth the horror!
I stay here often. Having recently launched a new business price is important and also a good nights sleep. there are various levels of rooms here and you certainly get what you pay for. My stay this week was in a spacious room, with the most comfortable bed and cracking shower. service at reception is always quick and polite.
Good location and room it was a single room and was comfortable and the staff very helpful and professional. Cheap price too I would go again, the view is excellent of Clapham Common, near some good restaurants and placing of transport connections.
New entrance new lift oh and then the room was a double bed against one wall other side next to the bathroom door which would only open half way Bad smell radiator didn’t work Window won’t close shower head hand held For 10 pounds more could have stayed at the ritz Would never go back hall carpets dirty and s trip hazard
I stayed here for one night last night and the only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location. I wasn't expecting much for the price here but the cleanliness was appalling. Here are some descriptions.. There was a big hole on the floor underneath the window which let in every bit of cold and wind, the windowsill was broken, hairs on the bed, broken furniture, oily hand prints on the walls above bed, an aroma in the room that set my friends asthma off all night, very noisy (not referring to traffic), a bathroom that you couldn't shut the door while on the toilet as it was just too small. The pictures are definitely misleading and look absolutely nothing like the decor. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and I've never had to write a bad review about any of them, other than this one.
Nice hotel, nice location and perfect transport facilities (underground, bus). The hotel has a beautifull yard in front, well maintained. The hotel is also nice architecture and pleasant interior. Only the rooms are too small for modern travellers
