My friends and I booked two double rooms before reading any of the reviews. After reading some we were quite worried but the hotel turned out to be lovely. Our rooms were located on the second floor. One facing the street and one being at the back. Neither of which were particularly loud. The rooms are quite spacious and we had more than enough space. Each room had a wardrobe, desk with chair, two single beds and a bathroom with a big shower. The AC in the room worked perfectly even though we only had to use it one night. The room was clean, tidy and the towels were definitely fresh. Even though you saw some wearout on the carpet and on the mattresses we were happy with the rooms. We didn't book with breakfast so I can't say anything about it. Since our flights departed quite late in the night we stored our suitcases in the hotel which worked without any problems and the staff was very helpful. In conclusion i would definitely stay here again since its so convenient located.

Towels that should be white are grey and hard and very small and somewhat smelly. The shower was very dirty. The bed sheets smelt of stale sweat. The a/c did not work and the noise from the other rooms was crazy. Breakfast was not great. Cereal in open bowls not covered and very few options. Great location though.

This is a good hotel to stay if you want to be next to paddington station - it is about 5 minutes walking distance. Hyde park is also around the corner. Very easy to go around london as there are many bus stops around just 5 mins walk. The underground station Lancaster gate is only 5 mins walk but was closed for renovation when i stayed there. Marble arch station is 15 mins walk. Breakfast was included in the room eventhogh when we booked the hotel it said no breakfast (via booking.com). When we arrived there the second day the lady said that all rooms include breakfast. Still, there is a Cafe nero just 1 minute walking from the hotel with great coffee and sandwiches.

If you plan to go a week to Londen, do not book this room. We stayed two nights here and that was enough. It is not that clean, lots of dust and really really small. The bed was as old as the streets. The staff doesn't explain anything like breakfast or housekeeping... if you're planning to use the hotel just to sleep and shower, it will do.

Stayed 1 night. The young lady on reception was very welcoming and friendly. We had the "suite" so was a fair size and certainly ok for 1 night. The bed was comfortable. There's a few signs of wear and tear (e.g. on the sofa) and the shower room was small but functional. We struggled to get cold water out of the tap but the shower was perfect. Great location for Paddington station (5 min walk) or Hyde Park (3 min walk) No food options but plenty nearby, Overall, we didn't have any complaints if you want a 1 or 2 nighter.

I cant moan too much as it cost us £116 BUT we were stuck downstairs in the basement and there is only 2 rooms down there, we had a window which opened and looked out to what looked like a utility but was not a pretty site and was messy, we was also right next to the breakfast room and we were woke up at 6 in the morning by all the noise, I was disappointed and I would rather pay a little extra to stay somewhere abit more appealing for our next trip to London, only good thing was the location, a 5 minute walk to Hyde park

The location of this hotel is the only positive thing it has going for it. The rooms are tiny, with old cheap small size double beds and the standard of cleanliness is shocking. We stayed three nights and during this time our room was not once hoovered and neither were the false nails that were on the stairs for the whole duration of our stay. On arrival the sink in our room had stains of vomit in it which did not get cleaned off during our time there. The curtains were filthy dirty and hanging off the rails. The towels for the shower were tiny hand towels that didn't even touch my frame let alone my 6ft 2 husbands. The receptionist was polite, but it's inappropriate to eat food on the reception. Staff food breaks should be taken out of sight of hotel guests. Cleaning staff were impolite. They couldn't even say hello or smile to hotel paying guests. To find them in our room starting to clean at 6pm, after we have been out all day, is not good practice. Some simple changes could make this hotel palatable, such a shame given its location. given the cleanliness we didn't even attempt breakfast. It says its a non smoking hotel but the lift smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke. We would definitely not stay here again or recommend it.

Got a tiiiny room with just room for the bed, a tiny desk and a small window high up on the wall. Bathroom was ok. Dirty bed, good location and friendly staff.. Sorry, but i can't recommend this hotel.. I'd rather stay at Go native that's right next door.. The closet that we slept in should have been used for washing stuff for the hotel rooms rather than a bed.. just my 5 cent..

You do get what you pay for £102 per night. Was a bit worried after reading the reviews but in fairness the room was not as small as I expected and there was plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe. The bedding was white and clean, mattress quite soft and you did roll into middle in the night. Net curtains were dirty and I think they were the cause of a general musty smell in the room Bathroom adequate, but the grout in the shower was dirty as was the shower curtain. Towels small and thin but again clean. We didn't have breakfast as the room is in the basement very small with not enough seating and the croissants were in plastic bags. There's a very nice Cafe Nero just up the road. As a summary I probably wouldn't stay here again but it is cheap, it's close to Paddington station and the reception staff were polite. With a few minor tweaks any criticism could be sorted, but I don't believe the management are acting on reviews.

My study abroad group was relieved to learn our little hotel in Paddington was air conditioned when our visit to London last week was surprisingly unseasonably hot! The hotel was modest and modestly priced, but the location was convenient to Paddington train and underground stations, as well as close to Hyde Park where we enjoyed walking. Moreover, our lovely hostess at the reception desk (sorry I don't have her name) was so helpful and accommodating; she arranged for tours for us to save money, made sure we had taxis when needed, and gave excellent advice for places to see and to eat. She even went out of her way to investigate things we might like to do while in London once she got to know our party and their interests. I recommend Hotel Edward and will stay there again. It was good value and very accommodating.
