I was very excited for my trip to London with my friends but was most disappointed with my stay at the hotel. We paid for a full English breakfast and was greeted with nothing but toast and some stale croissants, this was unacceptable and a few of our friends even had to take their plates up to their room as there wasn’t enough seats. Our hotel room was absolutely tiny as well and was definitely not a room for 3 adults! The walls were dirty and the room felt unclean. Very disappointing indeed.
A paid breakfast was supposedly included in the price we paid however to my dismay our " cooked breakfast " turned out to be stale toast and yoghurt. There also wasn't enough seating for the time allocated for breakfast and the amount of guests. I was sharing a bedroom with 2 others and our room was tiny, there was nowhere near enough space for three people to move around this room. We each had to take turns to walk past eachother to fit through the tiny gaps.
Can't give this place 3 stars as that is average, so marking down to 2 stars as it is certainly below average. The rooms are quite dirty so take a pack of anti bac wipes with you. The rooms are indeed stupidly small. The lift takes ages to come and I mean ages.
The hotel is really nice on the outside and the conditions inside are quite good too. The rooms are so so small, with the beds in the corner, it’s almost impossible to open a big suitcase, the quality of the bed is not good at all, the matress sinks in in the middle. The bathroom was ok, great water pressure. The breakfast served here is quite poor.
The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Our room was so small that two people could not stand in the room at the same time. There was a tiny window at the back of the bed and it was impossible to open the window. It was not clean. The breakfast room was vary small. People had to wait in this small room to eat this basic breakfast. Most of the people gave up and went out. This hotel does not worth the money you pay. It has only one lift and you have to wait at least 5 minutes to go up or down.
Unable to comment on the hotel as I won't be staying there. My review concerns my treatment by the hotel regarding my booking. I won't bore you with the details but suffice to say the hotel management could not have been less helpful or cared less. They could have refunded my room if they were reasonable and their reputation mattered ..... (admittedly it was a non refundable rate) Take a screenshot if you can.. BOOK WITH CARE!!!
Pros: Decent location close to paddington station. Cons: Extremely small room,we were tripping over each other, wasn't what i'd consider clean, beds were terrible, 3 days home & i'm still aching,& bruised, mattress felt extremely cheap or extremely worn out, caught my leg numeroues times on springs whilst sitting on the edge of the bed. My husband split his toe open on a unnessecary door stop @ corner of the bed, the bathroom door didn't open out far enough as it hit Against the bed about 20inches away from where doorstop was placed. When i asked @ reception for plaster from first aid kit, the girl had to go to her own bag for 1, when i told her what had happened, she muttered an "oh" Had to ask for glasses for the bedroom. Bathroom is tiny & disgusting, shower head was grimey as was the shower floors & walls, i'm size 8 and barely had room to use loo. There's no space around the sink for getting ready or setting cosmetics etc down, no glass in the bathroom for rinsing or holding toothbrushes . Very poor breakfast, continental.. Cheaper than cheap, cornflakes & cocopops, bread for toast, with cheese & i think ham couldnt be sure if thats what it was, Some flavoured yogurts, a basket of apples & oranges, tea, coffee juices, I'm Dairy intolerant so breakfast here for me was toast,( well warm bread as Toaster was so slow & with a que of people standing waiting i felt guilty about putting it down a 2nd time) & boiled water i'd normally have hot lemon water, but this option wasn't available, hotel had no lemons hotel has 45 rooms & small seating area for about 15/20 people max. Couldnt eat in comfort as there was constantly people hovering waiting for a table, the tables were half set, I had to ask for cups knife & spoons. We werent able to use the wifi, werent given a Code. I can't fault location but the rest was terrible
It's worth staying here for two nights and the location is really superb as it's really convenient! Easy to travel from and to Heathrow Airport. Walking distance to hyde park and direct tube to the shopping places. Am also satisfied with the single room.
Booked to visit while visiting winter wonderland. Finding it was very easy due to its proximity to paddington. Staff were friendly and actually helpful. They checked us in early. We stayed on the second floor. Was feeling lazy so wanted to use the elevator- however as far as I’m aware its still on its way down. Found the room easily and opened the door. Wow. but not in a good way. Room was about 8ft x 14ft including a double bed, en suite shower room, built in wardrobe and small vanity station. Bed was pretty much touching 2 of the walls with no room for either of us to pass each other. While this was most entertaining for a few mins I’m glad we were only there for one night! Bed linen was questionable as to cleanliness but will err on the side of clean, duvet and bed frame i think were used on the ark. Mattress was completely shot, possibly found in a skip somewhere nearby prior to our arrival. Think i will need to visit a chiropractor to sort out it’s damage. Needless to say we didn’t get a good nights sleep! Air con was a bit noisy and i was actually surprised it worked. General decor and carpets etc were lets say quite worn. Couple of bulbs out in the room but not a problem. Bathroom extractor fan bearings i think have probably dropped out or broken up many years ago, was wondering if it was going to fly out like a ninja star. Shower controls were missing so no idea whether i was in for ice or a inferno. Best bit about the place was the automatic on off lights in the shaving mirror.. we skipped breakfast and went to a delightful little place down the road. Check out was easy....
We recently stayed in this hotel when we wanted to visit winter wonderland. Its a great location, and about a 10 minute walk to hyde park. The room was small, however it did the job as we only went there to sleep. The bathroom was also small but there was hand soap, shampoo and shower gel all provided. The breakfast choice was limited, as were the seats/tables but overall it was sufficient. They also offer free luggage storage on your checking out day-again, something i was impressed with. The staff were also very friendly and helpful:) I would definitely visit again.
