I have stayed at the Draycott many times over the years. It has the feeling of a private home and every room is individually-decorated with antique and period furniture and beautiful upholstery and fabrics. The drawing room and library are tastefully decorated with antiques and period furniture and paintings and provide an ideal setting to read a book, enjoy a drink from the honesty bar, or to socialize. The garden makes this hotel unique. I always enjoy my nightly cigar in the evening and reading the newspaper there after breakfast. The complimentary afternoon tea and champagne are wonderful touches that make a stay most enjoyable. My only complaint is the lack of air conditioning in the public areas of the hotel. I stayed during a horrid heatwave and sitting in the drawing room or the library was very uncomfortable. Most of the rooms are very well kept and comfortable. My wife was originally given a room in the basement last week which had mold, chipped furniture, a broken bathroom mirror, stained carpet and curtains. It is best to avoid those. These last two factors are the reason I do not give the hotel 5 out of 5. It is not white there yet.
Charming hotel in the middle of Chelsea. Quintessentially British with some associated quirks. Stayed in a single room which, as the website says, is small - but as expected. Complimentary champagne at 6:00pm was delicious!
Very cozy, great location. Very comfortable rooms, impeccably clean. Extremely kind and helpful staff. The use of the garden makes this hotel one of my favourites in London. I will definitely come back
Excellent location, lovely rooms, drawing room & garden. Can't imagine a nicer hotel. Best location in London, very elegant and quiet. Rooms very carefully decorated, extremely comfortable beds, premium quality sheets and pillows.
Everything you could want for an overnight stay, afternoon tea and champagne before going out for the evening. Fantastic attentive staff. Would definitely stay again when next in London. Location was fantastic for quick shop.
The Draycott Hotel is located just off Sloane Square. It occupies three large houses which were built as part of the Cadogan Gardens Estate. I arrived for eight days from Iran after the British Airways meltdown. I was physically and emotionally exhausted from trying to deal with British Airways whose staff were overwhelmed by a hoard of angry and anxious passengers and then buying a seat on an Iran Airlines flight to London. Walking into the Draycott was entering a calm and peaceful haven for people like me. Staff were not fawning but every single one I dealt with during those eight days was helpful, friendly, professional and kind. I could not fault them but did not want to. My room was a tiny single room, the J.M. Barrie room. It was a lovely room with a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and fittings were high quality. Afternoon tea with biscuits was a four each day. A complimentary glass of bubbles with crisps was available between six and seven and hot chocolate at 9, I think. Staff were knowledgeable and if they didn't know they found out. All hotels should have staff as well trained and as enthusiastic as this hotel's staff. I was sorry when I had to leave.
This is a very comfortable hotel in a fabulous location. Staff are friendly and efficient and the rooms are amazing. Great to have some outside space in the summer months and loved the hot chocolate in the lounge after a long and busy day out.
Location is good, near harrods and hyde park. We have a garden view room, the garden is really beautiful and quiet. The house is very British Staffs are kindly and friendly. We love to stay here and hope to come back.
The room was beautiful, clean and tidy. Everyone was really helpful and kind. The little touches of tea and biscuits at 4pm, champagne at 6pm and hot chocolate at 9pm are really lovely. Will definitely be visiting again.
yet again another truly enjoyable experience. We call the Draycott our London residence now as there is no where else we would choose to stay when visiting the West of London. Every time, the staff cannot do enough to make our stay as relaxing as possible.
