Lovely stay at a friendly place. Good recommendations and very helpful. After our arrival from Rome were assisted to make an adjustment to our booking. Rooms are good size. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Internet can be a little tricky to get working.
We booked a triple room for ourselves and our daughter. The room was small but had everything we needed including a blow dryer and air conditioning. The bathroom did not have any spare space but there was a small desk to leave our things on in the bedroom area. It was very clean and the desk staff were wonderful! We had pizza delivered (by bicycle) at 11pm and it was hot! This hotel is only a 3 minute walk to Victoria Station and about a 30 minute walk to Westminster Abbey. I would definitely stay here again!
I stayed in a single room - it was small but clean and efficient. The placement of the registration desk across the street was a bit odd, but most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was great - close to the Victoria station and Buckingham palace. I walked everywhere with no problem. The rumble and noise from the train is constant so sleep was a challenge at times. Though the hotel cannot control this I feel guests should be informed of this before booking. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
This hotel is just a short walk from Victoria station. We booked a triple room for ourselves and our son. The room is compact with a double bed and single. It was clean and tidy and the room was tidied and towels replaced daily. We didn't have breakfast as it was continental and my family like their bacon. It was only a short walk down St George's drive to plenty of reasonably priced cafes for breakfast. Overall the hotel was clean and tidy and well placed to get around London we would consider staying here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn. The room was small (understandable considering location) but it was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all our inquiries. Free tea and coffee machine for guests to use at reception. We didn't have the breakfast there so can't comment on that. 24hr reception. The towels were nice and fluffy. Our room did get a bit stuffy at times but the air con was excellent. Would stay again.
Funnily enough, this hotel is not in Buckingham Palace Road, but around the corner in St Georges Drive and more or less, diagonally opposite the entrance to the Victoria Coach Station. The hotel is spread across the main building and another building across the road, the latter of which is where 'the fun started'. Considering we had booked a room 7 months earlier, we could have expected a better room. We were given Room 113 in the secondary building, which as usual was small, with a very small, narrow bathroom and whilst modern, had the railway line outside the window. What a good night's sleep!!!! On registering our concern the next morning, Hussain, presumably the day manager, was extremely helpful and accommodating (no pun intended). He provided us with an option of two other rooms and we decided on Room 504 in the main building. Still small, but quiet and comfortable, although more stairs - 3 good night's sleep out of 4. Thank you Hussain, who also willingly recommended some dining options. So, the hotel itself - 24 hour reception, smart entrance and interior, key card entrance to accommodation area and safe in the room, free use of a computer at reception, free coffee/tea machine in the breakfast room, very well located to transport - Coach and Victoria train station, 15 - 20 minute walk to Buckingham Palace - breakfast was continental only, which is fine, but it wasn't overly large. Would stay there again, but preferably in the main building.
This cute little place is in a very good area if you travel by bus, underground ect. Central part of downtown where you can get to all main attractions very easily just by walking. Friendly staff, free all day coffee, maids very good and the building is well maintained! Would reccomend for anyone planning to travel downtown london!
The location of this hotel is very good, close to Shopping, Sainsbury's and Victoria underground, train and coach station. About 15 minutes to Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. Breakfast is good and the room is comfortable. Just the internet connection is sometimes slow.
Stayed overnight as close to the places we were visiting. Not far from Victoria underground, British rail and coach station. Checked in ok and was told our room was across the road in the annex. Once through the main door, the most terrible and sickening smell greets you. It is seriously gross and left me reeling every time we went in or out of the building. It was a cross between damp, drains and cheap air freshener that they use to try and disguise the smell. The room 518, was very small but clean. The railway line was right outside our window and trains went past every 30-60 seconds, shaking and vibrating the room. Our thoughts were, we won't be back until late so they would have stopped by then. That is until 5.30am, when we were woken by the trains starting again! Not happy to have a rare night away and woken up earlier then if we were at home with the kids! Checked out and spoke with the receptionist who basically shrugged his shoulders and said if we had said when we checked in then we could have been moved room! Surely, if there were better and quieter rooms available then put guests in there to begin with, not wait for the complaints? Receptionist said to email the general manager, which I did and have still not heard anything back. It appears that customer service is not present with the general manger and filters down to the reception. Not nice, would not return.
I booked two rooms at the hotel for my family trip to London. Reading the reviews about the noise problem I had requested for rooms in the higher floors in advance and the hotel helped with this. Our stay was comfortable for the first four days.Very good level of cleanliness and excellent location of the hotel. When we returned back from sightseeing on the fifth evening, we found my daughter's brand new and expensive slippers missing from the room (after thorough search of both rooms). Incidentally, that day, the slippers were the only belonging not locked in our suitcases. All the previous days we had several other stuff lying outside and left untouched. We had to leave for the airport early next morning and the missing pair of slippers left my daughter very upset. The front desk could not get in touch with the housekeeping staff and did not check any CCTV footages. They did feel sorry for us and rationalized that the footwear 'kept close to the dustbin' may have been trashed! This was not satisfactory logic, the hotel should seriously consider checking with the occupants before considering their belongings as trash! The front desk had also promised to mail and update us after checking with the housekeeping staff...but no mail...no apologies after a week. All in all, if you are looking for a hotel within walking distance to the coach and tube stations...this is a great budget hotel option. Provided you keep EVERYTHING under LOCK AND KEY before you leave the room everyday.
