Some reviews were a bit hesitant about the hotel, but having stayed one night I had no reservations. The single room was a reasonable size and was clean and recently refurbished. The bathroom was clean and had a powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Free Wi-Fi and coffee making facilities, and a good machine in reception, made for a welcoming stay. No hesitation in staying again if the price is right.
This is our final hotel of a 9 hotel visit to Europe. We've had great, good, so-so and now this! WiFi is set at a 24 hour time period regardless of length of visit so you must go throught their labyrinth procedure every day... what? The room might be big enough for a mouse or two but a "double" room is most certainly not a double, it's not even a dinky single. Seriously, we had trouble finding somewhere to put two medium sized suitcases and two backpacks. The bathroom needs to have the door closed once you're inside so that you have space to clean your teeth. The handbasin is not immediately obvious until you close the bathroom door. No matter how cheap it is still overpriced and to call it Comfort Inn Buckingham Palace Road when it is in St George's Drive borders on false advertising. I've stayed in lots of hotels in Europe, South America, SE Asia and even North America and this one ranks last. Find aomewhere else.
Conveniently situated a few minutes walk from Victoria station. Quick and easy check in. Small but functional room. Helpful front desk staff. Free hot drinks in lobby. Reasonably priced. Held luggage till our flight.
Let's face it. Most moderately priced hotels in London can be tiny and dingy - especially if you're situated near the railway. This hotel was cozy and comfortable. The staff were accomodating and friendly, offering helpful tips and free coffee throughout the day. The housekeeping services were very good. The room was small and functional, exactly what one should expect from this type of hotel. You're going to occasionally hear the low rumble of a train passing by, but what do you expect if you book a place next to a railway station? The Pimlico neighborhood is very nice with lots of restaurants and a Sainsbury nearby. Short walk to the tube or you can take a #11 double decker bus to the City only steps away from this hotel. It's a great base for visiting London and I found everything to be a good value for the price.
I stayed here with my family. As there were 6 of us we had 2 rooms. Both were clean and well laid out. The staff were very helpful. There is a complimentary drinks machine near reception. We were very impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay again.
Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic breakfast, but enough to start the day. Excellent location, close to Victoria Station, making travelling to and from London easy, as well as travel within London.
Made a mistake and accidentally booked this through booking.com two months ago. Despite contacting both hotel and booking.com immediately there was no resolution. At first booking.com referred me to hotel, who referred me back to booking.com ... and so the cycle went. When I finally managed to email someone at the hotel, they refused to return any portion of my money, but were on top of cancelling my booking as a no show. So not only did I lose my money, no doubt they have the benefit of a “two for one” payment on the room itself. Terrible service and would not recommend these people to anyone.
Recently I stayed at a similar Comfort Inn in London and had low expectations. This one is breath of fresh air and I would certainly recommend it. The single room was stunning and had been laid out to make the best of the space. The reception staff were great and very competent. The breakfast was very goo too. The location of this hotel is a bonus too as it is a short walk from Victoria Tube and closer still to the Victoria Coach Station.
I've stayed here over 10 times and still loving it. Nice staff, clean rooms and amazing location in walking distance from Victoria Station. I've only once experienced having to switch rooms as the airconditioning in the room was broken - the switch was without problems and the staff was very nice about it. I am very pleased with all of my stays and will definitely return :-)
We wanted a hotel close to Victoria Coach Station for a coach trip to Normandy. We stayed on the way out and on the way back and both nights had very clean quiet rooms even though the hotel is near to Victoria Railway station. The rooms looked to have been recently refurbished with lovely bedding and bright white fluffy towels. Breakfast was included and set us up for the journey home.
