Friendly staff had 3 decent nights sleep as I was on the ground floor. The room itself was compact but has a nice sized shower/ toilet area. Good location with the park opposite to relax in. Breakfast option available from £5 wifi available £4 per day.
Visited here recently for the Cowboys and Angels gig at the O2 Brixton. Great location near to the underground and there are some nice little cafes and bars nearby and there is a Tesco and Sainsbury's local. We had a room overlooking Clapham Common, it was clean and had towels, tea and coffee making facilities. After reading reviews about small rooms we were worried but our double room was of a decent size for London. If we ever visited here again we would definitely stay here. Staff were friendly too!
I have just spent a night at this hotel, the staff are very friendly and the location to the underground perfect. My room was very clean but very small, I knew that when it was booked I would not have a window, that was fine, however, the room was so small it was difficult to get dressed. If you are of a larger build and planning on booking the single room, this will be something to consider. But that said it was very clean and because of the location I would stay there again, it was good value for money.
We stayed here for one night while in London on business lately. And picked the hotel because it stayed parking available. Well there is room for 3 cars squashed together, but when we arrived there was a van blocking the entrance and taking up all the space. As the hotel is on a red route we could not stop on the road. So we pulled up onto the pavement while we popped into reception to try to ask someone to moved their van. We emerged 5min later to find 2 traffic wardens issuing a £65 parking ticket. Tip - park in the side streets and download the app to pay (as the meter doesn’t take £1 coins!) It’s £6 and hour but free parking from 6pm until 9am.
The room had been modernised but the bathroom still suffered from broken tiles etc. No free Wi-Fi, which surprised us. The wooden floor above us was very noisy, night and day presented us with their own noises. On site parking is convenient, but costs extra. But the room was pretty comfy.
Only booked the room because it was so close to the moon walk we were taking part in and it stated that the hotel had some parking places. It didn't say how much would charge and we were told is £20 per day.. The room was a bix room and it coated £145 per night. They put the prices up just because of the moon walk and to pay 3 times the price it's a bit steep. When we entered the hotel it smelt like chemicals. I knew is a small room with no window but wasn't expecting a broken toilet seat, shabby paint and lights that were falling off the wall. We used the room all of the 4 hours and we walked all through the night.. we didn't even use their carpark as the road parking was free at weekends so no need to pay £20.. and they have enough car park for all of 2 cars. Definitely wouldn't be returning especially as the staff seemed rude (not the girl at reception) but we were actually cut through buy a staff who was too busy to walk through the small corridors rather than give us the priority we actually had if you even consider traffic rules and forget the rules that customers are always right and need to be respected. The bedding and towels were clean and that was the only positive I could find from all this experience
Despite being small, the room was quite cozy and nice. Unfortunately the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and some spots had even face fluid marks on. Generally good for short and low budget stay because of the location. Also wifi is not included in the price which was somewhat unexpected.
Stayed in Euro Hotel facing Clapham common the hotel was very clean the bedroom and bathroon was lovely nice sheets pillows and duvet, hair dryer, tea and coffee a lovely room the staff on the desk very nice would go again really nice time in the hotel
If you are adventurous person or a group of people and looking for extreme and unforgettable hotel experience, I'd highly recommend choosing this place. Felt like in reality TV although not even wanted or expected that. So this is my story of 4 nights in Clapham Euro hotel. PART ONE: I have no idea how, but pictures dsplayed on booking.com are really well photoshopped. Rooms do not look like this in reality, pictures are just too good. But you get for what you're paying, so I can understand that. In my case I have booked an 8 sq m room with a double bed that should have had a window and a private bathroom. What I got is a double bed, which was just slightly smaller than a room itself. With closed door it might cause claustrophobia to some people, because there is no room to walk or put any items and it could be clearly seen that it's not 8sq m, something I specifically didn't choose. Also window had no use because it's small and isn't placed conveniently. Oh, and the bathroom was not even in the room it was a separate room in hallway with a sticker on door "just for 714 room". However it didn't have any lock that needs to be unlocked to enter, so basically anyone could enter. So at that point I started to think, that It's very interesting marketing campaign we got in booking.com, because when I was looking through booking confirmation, there was no information written about the room size. So I couldn't complain about it..because I didn't have any proof about the size of room I CHOSE. At this point a bed in that room had also stained bedding and pillow cases looked like someone stepped with shoes on and as I recall all of 4 pillow cases were dirty and under them I found a hair. So I informed staff about it and asked for bedding to be changed. However the cleaning services were no longer available at that evening, so the stuff offered a triple room in basement, because all double bed rooms were fully booked. I gratefully accepted the offer. PART TWO: I got a room in a basement. This room was a MUCH bigger, had a heating system and the most important thing - clean sheets. Although the bathroom had a specific smell, it seemed the stay might be quite ok. However it was just a time question, when a new problems showed up during the stay. There were issues with a key, it was always inactive after returning to the hotel. At 4th day I got a new key, which opened door without going from basement to the 1st floor reception just to ask for my room door to be opened. Also the room is not sound proof. You can hear what is going on in the corridor. PART THREE: What I forgot to mention in part two is that every time you'll return to your room it will be cleaned..beds made. So the evening before checking out after returning to the hotel I found the water on the floor of the room. When asked for a mop to wipe the floor same answer was given as to change bedding "cleaning services are no longer available today" so I was given a towel. I have cleaned the floor myself with a given towel. The water was smelly and dirty, after floor was whipped the towel was just dirty and brown. So at that point something seemed suspicious. And the "highlight" of the whole stay was in the morning before checking out. I woke up in a puddle of water. All floor from bathroom door to room door was covered in water. I couldn't understand from where it was, because bathroom was dry. I needed to check out at 11am, so I started to pack as fast as possible to leave this room. Then suddenly I heard drill and water splashes sounds coming from the next room. After an hour the smelly water started running from the ceiling in the bathroom of my room. It looked like a waterfall. I decided to check out what was going on in that room where maintenance work was being done and inform that they damaged a pipe in our room - however hallway smelled terribly. So at that point I understood that it's not just simple pipe. It was something much bigger. I have packed my bags and left the room quickly. I informed staff about situation in the room, they told me "oh, sorry about that" and I just left...without speech...about what just happened. FEW MORE THINGS: You need to pay 4£ every 24h for wifi. I suggest just to add that amount to room price, would be much more convenient than buying separately. The hotel has a few advantages: 1. Very comfortable mattress, had a good night sleep. 2. Very good location. CONCLUSION: If you need a good might sleep and convenient location and you are not afraid of challenges, I'd highly recommend this place. In any other case - JUST NO.
To start with, our room was very small and there was dust everywhere.Secondly, the bathroom was smelling so bad,the receptionist was playing with his phone instead of helping us and the heat didn’t work at all.
