Best Western Maitrise Hotel

This is not a 4 Star Hotel. Clean and comfy enough. The staff try their best. The location, while far (30 to 40 minutes) from the famous tourist sites, is great because there are 2 tube stations and several bus stations, a Tesco Express, great small restaurants, the Old Bell, a free pub with a beer garden in back nearby. Rooms small but clean. Good for people who need something basic just for sleeping/recharging electronics, freshening up and don't mind taking public transportation everywhere.

My stay was great, hotel staff made me feel welcome and comfortable, bed was a little uncomfortable, but I enjoyed my stay.

Excellent location, within walking distance to catch 'tube' to take you around the city

The Hotel was alright. The room was nice. However, the breakfast had very few options.

the rooms were nice and the value very good. The staff members were at times slow or problematic.

Great staff, nice clean and spacious room, hotel is close to the train station which was nice.

I enjoyed my stay very accommodating staff. It was the proper price and clean amenities.

An aircondition did not work at VIP room. When we asked to moove us to another room - there were no issues- hotel was fool. They just say sorry... Usually it shoud be other nice things ( free drinks or dinner) for this inconvenince...

Unfortunately, I had to move rooms 2x in order to get a room that had ventilation. The staff was helpful though and got us to a working room. Hotel was close to the tube and central to the Paddington station. Food was not good, don't eat anything beyond the breakfast. Good for the money, but I wouldn't stay again.

The air conditioner was broken and the windows were sealed shut to deter jumpers, so the rooms (we tried three different ones) were like oven boxes (the temperature was in the upper 90's and into the 100's Fahrenheit, so all the fan did was circulate hot air). It was awful. I had to sleep in the lobby (got less than 4 hours in 2 nights). Why wouldn't the staff or management just put their guests up in the hotel down the street? I requested a full refund; still haven't heard back on the matter. I am infuriated.

New hotel, not too confortable but good price, not the best location.

Our first night, there was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom, but it was gone the next morning. The amenities were nice. There was a restaurant downstairs that served breakfast. They sometimes serve dinner, but this feature won't be open for a few more weeks. The location is good in that it is across from the Tesco and near the tube and restaurants, but bad in that the building next door is abandoned with broken windows and graffiti. The rooms were very clean and had nice green energy features. It was also a beautiful and cozy hotel and room. The staff was excellent. Overall, it was a very good stay.

Once we arrived at 11am we were not allowed to check in untill 12pm. The women at the front desk were friendly and sujested we should go to grab a bite to eat while we waited. That would have been a wonderful idea if we weren't so tired and wanted to shower and relax first. My husband had a 10 hour flight and a hour drive on the tube. Once we finally was able to go into the room "it was very nice" but the wet bar was not working. We informed the front desk attendent she explained that the maintanace man was to be in the following morning and that he would have the problem fixed. That never happened we were with out the wet bar for the entire time we were there. We stayed there a complete week and it would been nice to have that as a acomindation, we also had request for some wash cloths the last three days of our stay, we never received them either. Our overall stay was made tollerible due to the travels throughout London, The beautiful Thames, we dined at the Beatox cruise, we also whent to several museums, Piccadilly and Oxford circus for shopping, Soho, and walked the city streets along with spending time in Paris.
