London Underground station was just a 5 minute walk away. There's a very small mini cafe inside the hotel lobby for beverages and snack. I personally didn't have any problems with the wifi. Its in a nice area of London. Staff was polite but at times away from the front desk so I had to wait a few short minutes sometimes for someone to appear and you are required to leave your room key at the front desk anytime you leave the building during your stay which is a hassle and gets annoying if you pop in and out often or have a lengthy stay in London. But overall hotel was comfortable enough for a solo traveler like me.

The hotel room was too hot. Had a small fan that was filled with dust. The bedroom window was small and had to be kept open to breathe. Bathroom was way too small. When asked for an upgrade the hotel staff stated that i would have to pay 30 pounds more, even if the room they gave me was barely liveable.

The room was a bit small. Booked a double. It was renovated, but not well-done. Several cracks in the walls, stained carpet, etc. The bathroom looked nice but if you pay close attn there were also cracks. Great location, however, close to the tube.

No problems. Adequate in terms of cleanliness, safety, space, breakfast, etc. Nice neighborhood. Convenient location for V&A Museum, Science Museum, and Natural History Museum. Not too far to walk to the tube. Internet didn't reach to my room, which was annoying, so ask for a room with good Internet if you need to stay in touch with the world.

The room was so-so, the bed was somewhat uncomfortable. The location was excellent though. Overall, average experience.

The hotel has a decent continental breakfast and is located in a beautiful neighborhood a few blocks from the gloucester tube station. Room was small, as was the bathroom, decor is mimimal yet clean enough, furniture most likely IKEA/could use upgrade. Hotel staff demands you leave room key with them for 'safety reasons' although the area seems quite upscale....found london to be very safe/beautiful and londoners to be a bit paranoid about safety... overall good value for price, remember london is $$$

I initially booked this hotel because of the 4-star rating it had been given and the good price I was getting to stay there for 6 nights. Now I know why my price was so good. The hotel is in a very good location, 5 minute walk to a tube station that has 3 different lines. Lots of restaurants and a couple pubs nearby. The hotel itself was not as nice as I had anticipated from the 4 star rating. The lobby was small and not a real good place to sit or hang out. Because of the heat wave London was having while I visited, most people actually sat on the hotel steps at night to cool off. My room did not have air conditioning and it was extremely hot! The hotel provided one small fan clip on fan that could not even be clipped to the window sill because of the location of the one outlet in the room. Only one fan per room was allowed. When I asked about getting a room with air conditioning I was told that would be an extra $40 per night (pounds - not dollars). The hotel offered breakfast every day, but it was a very basic cold breakfast, toast and cereal and yogurt with apples and bananas, tea and coffee and juice. This got to be old after a few days. The safe in my room broke on the 2nd day and did not get fixed. I was told my belongings (passport / ipad) would be safe, and they were, but I would have liked a safe to lock them up in during the day when I was out and about. The bed was very lumpy from many many years of use. The hotel staff were very nice and pleasant. My room was always cleaned and tidied nicely during the day when I was out. I give this hotel a 2.5-3 star rating. I am not sure why it has a 4, but then I did not get to see the more expensive rooms. I would recommend this hotel to a friend if they were looking for budget / basic accommodations, but would not let them think they would get a 4 star experience.

Very comfortable, quiet, and located close to metro train service (about a 5 min. walk). We would definitely consider staying there again if returning to London.

The hotel room itself was nothing special. Other reviewers said the room was small but not by London Standards. I have stayed in far smaller rooms. The bed was stiff but comfortable. The room was stuffy and even with windows that opened the room temperature was lower than I like. The shower stall was very small but the bathroom was a good, overall size. I enjoyed the staff. They were friendly and helpful. They did run out of maps but your so close to a tourist area that it's easy to go get one of your own. The location is footsteps from the tube station (5 min walk at a snail's pace) and there are some really nice eateries in the area. For the price I paid for the place there is really not real complaint. I would only ask that they find a way to improve the air flow by providing fans. Even though it was in the 50s to 60s F ( or 10 to 15 on Celsius) weather the room was in the 76 F ( 25 C) which was uncomfortable for me.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was clean. The issue that I had was that the room could use some modernization. No aircondirioning, and the bed was not very comfortable. Close to the tube made it easy to reach.

Great location and neighborhood. Close to the metro station.

I booked this hotel because it was in Kensington and had air conditioning. The room we were given was small, depressing and had no air conditioning. Were told that air cond was an upgrade for $30 more per night. We upgraded and the room we got was still depressing but did have air cond. It also had a dirty, badly stained carpet, a tiny, almost unusable shower(no bath), and a mattress which was literally coming apart at the seams and had no mattress pad. We changed rooms again, and got a mattress which was still in one piece, but all else was the same.

While the rooms are small, surprise surprise in London, everything was very clean, the staff was very nice, the breakfast was great. Great value for money. Would stay there again.

The hotel amenities, rooms, breakfast are not even close to being four stars. This is a budget hotel with budget amenities. The wifi is also spotty.

Very friendly staff. The hotel manager provided a refrigerator in my room to accomodate my special diet.

I would definitely stay there again. Bathroom a bit small but definitely clean.

Single room was great--just the right amount of everything I needed. Bed, TV, coffee/water maker, safe, two drawers and hangers, bathroom. Heater in room too, although I was very warm at night and had to sleep with the window open--not too bad, wasn't bothered by light outside just the occasional car that drove by on Harrington Gardens ave. Reasonably close to Gloucester Rd tube station. Staff was friendly, helpful, and capable. Well-equipped room. Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in other hotels in Europe and am used to the fact the bathrooms are small in general but this was really small! Not only was it small, the shower head was literally held on by a rubber band. We are a family of 3 staying in a room the hotel called a triple and there was bearly enough room for us.

Hotel is a 5 minue walk from the Gloucester Road tube stop. In a posh neighborhood this hotel fits right in looks wise. Rooms are small as many are in London. I would recommend upgrading to a larger room. Friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

room is small , but comfortable and cleanliness. convenient location for subway, tesco and restaurant... it's good choice for economic considering.
