Amazing in every way! Every detail was considered and amenity available. They sang happy birthday to my husband at breakfast and we never even told them it was his birthday! They had found it in his passport when we checked in! Super on top of everything. Delicious breakfast too! Looking forward to staying again
THIS PLACE WAS GREAT! The place is a great deal, well maintained and gorgeous. It was my birthday when I got there and they surprised me with cake at the restaurant when we were eating even though I didn't tell them (they must have read it from my passport at checkin)!
Just home so apologise for typos as tad jet lagged! We did not know where we wanted to go for our holiday but we wanted some sun. Bali had a festival so looked at Lombok at the same time Secret Escapes had an offer... Booked and flew out late on a Friday stopping at Kuala Lumpur - a tiring journey but met by Arilm (?) And had a pleasant journey to the hotel. Walked into the office and met with a lemony clean smell and happy staff. We were given villa 33... goodness it was so beautiful. However because I’ve read some reviews on here let me explain the tangent ‘beautiful’ - if you are looking for modern, square, clinical aesthetics - this is not for you! Don’t insult the owner, manager or staff if you want streamline - our room was colonial typical Lombok decor- huge queen size 4 poster bed dominating the room. Bedrooms are for sleeping and intimacy. Yes there was a tv but not huge HUGE! Floors are wooden, air con, huge wardrobe - with safe -and a door to the open plan bathroom with outside shower and a beautiful bath. We also had a kitchenette and pool. I hesitated in unpacking in case a mistake had been made! The gardens and art are just beautiful. All staff are just lovely and friendly, Gardner’s, domestic room staff, yoga chap, restaurant , towels guy, security, bar staff.... everyone... I felt I’d come to stay with friends. The owner Marcel is approachable and chatty, and was a famous dancer and now runs a dance school. Sara is the GM and makes an effort in coming to find you to check all is ok. The owner has 2 dogs - Raja and Lisa and I also met a therapy dog called Sultan and Bomber ( pretending to be a guard dog - who sings) they dogs help people appreciate animals and add to the kindness and friendship. The main resort has sun beds around the pool and then more on the wall before the beach. Breakfast Sensibly there is not an open buffet - you order and staff bring the food to you - so nothing sitting in heat. Nothing is too much trouble for staff. Monday nights is a strictly night with staff showing you how to cha cha and rumba. And the. Children also dance. Amazing. Thursday night is traditional dancing and is amazing with also wine tasting - the Australian pinot is so smooth! Food is lovely and I’m really fussy but the staff accommodated my tastes. Usually we do not eat in the hotels we stay in, but we liked the food and the atmosphere. The hotel has a spa 2km up the road with another pool and birds and that is where Marcel and Sara live. There are 2 villas there you can stay in. I had the most amazing massages, my first ever pedicure with Ida and another massage on a different day with Martha. Heaven! You can go to a dance class, you can have a taster yoga session... I’ve had just the most perfect time - wish I’d stayed longer than 11 nights. Any bad bits - not really but everywhere has the beach sellers. I had a bit of a poor deal with one of them that I believe was the leader. So my pearl earrings cost me $20.... crazy but the money has so many noughts on it and I felt pressured as my partner was not about - cross with myself. So from my stupid mistake Go to the art market to Anna’s and check the fixed price then come and compare. I could have bought the same earrings for $4.50, sarongs are less than half the price of the beach pedlars. They are not allowed on the hotel property but they lean in and they are on the beach. I’m not saying don’t buy but I asked Mr A to leave extra earrings with the waiting staff and he just had a go at them! Would I go back - in a heartbeat! Thank you everyone for making my stay, our stay (Mr Gary) memorable and enjoyable.
We were travelling Asia for over tree week and we stayed at Puri Mas, was an amazing stand out hotel, peace, the beauty, and wonderful staff, made this a most perfect experience. absolutely loved it, all the wonderful staff at Puri Mas We will return
The moment I stepped into the lobby, I had a feeling that I’m inside a museum as the lobby was heavily decorated with antique furniture and carvings. As we arrived around 12.00 pm and the room was not ready, we were ushered to the restaurant where welcome drinks were served. Actually we were served with pineapple juice but I requested for coconut juice as I was having some gastritis problem. They gladly obliged. A little gesture goes a long way! The compound is big and with well-designed landscaping with lots of greens. There are some private villas with private swimming pools. There is a public pool facing the beach. You can catch the sunset with silhouette of Mount Agong Bali Island at the beach front. You may also book for a fishing trip or a snorkeling trip at the three famous islands at the resort. You can also book for the famous spa and massage at the resort but done at another resort under the same group which is situated about 2 km from this resort. In fact we had a 2 hour body scrub and massage. Before massage, we immersed ourselves in the Jacuzzi pool. I found it very invigorating and rejuvenating! There is an art gallery near the ballroom restaurant. The room or look more like a villa is big and spacious and clean. It comes with a small private Jacuzzi in the small compound. Wifi is free and fast. A water dispenser with hot and cold water is provided. A safe-box is also available. I was surprised to find a can of insecticide spray inside the room. Apparently there must be mozzies or other insects at the villa. The bed is enclosed with a mosquito netting. However, we didn’t find any mosquito during our stay. The washroom is big and clean with a bath-tub. However the water pressure is not constant so the temperature of the rain-shower water fluctuates which can make the shower quite uncomfortable. There are not many eateries near the hotel. There’s a Korean Restaurant and a seafood restaurant within walking distance. There is also a convenient store across the road. Anyway, the ballroom restaurant serves some good variety of food. However, the breakfast was not up to my expectation. It is semi buffet. Fruits, bread and drinks are buffet style. I ordered fried noodles with prawns and it was quite salty to taste! Every Monday is Latin dance night. We were fortunate that there was a Latin dance competition and dance performance from the hotel staffs during our stay there. Incidentally, the proprietor of the hotel, Mr. Marcel was a former Latin dance world champion. We really enjoyed the performance at the restaurant. Some of the hotel guests also joined in the dangdut dance! If you are looking for a romantic retreat, a paradise that offers privacy and peace, this resort may suit you. Overall, we had a pleasant stay there. For your information, children below 12 years old are not allowed to stay in this resort to maintain the peace and tranquility of the resort.
The best and friendly staff on earth, good food and drinks, wonderfull Spa and swimming pool. The hospitality is a 10 + and a nice atmosphere . Also beautiful all different rooms. Clean see and nice beds.
The staffs in Puri Mas are really friendly, attentive and personal. The place is well maintained and beautifully decorated. Foods are great especially their breakfast choice is beyond expectation. We spent most of our time chilling and overlooking the beach in the hut provided by Puri Mas. Highly recommended for honeymooners. Due to hotel restriction that only allows children above 12, we enjoyed the peace and serenity especially in the pool.
Elegant and comfortable boutique hotel right on the ocean. Staff is super friendly and personal. The hotel restaurant is actually better than the places in town. I would recommend this place anytime. The island Lombok has a lot to offer. Don’t miss a swim in the waterfall or a trip to the Gili islands.
We have just spent a wonderful 10 days at this hotel. Fabulous accommodation, delicious food and not expensive, very friendly and helpful staff including great drivers for a day out. Great infinity pool and good snorkelling from the beach. We had a private villa with a plunge pool for the second half which was really luxurious. The gardens are delightful and the whole resort is very well maintained. We had free use of the spa resort also which is well worth it. There were several regulars there and we can see why. We definitely hope to return.
Just what I was after. A couple’s retreat within a short taxi ride away from a main town. Beach on my front door step and lovely, attentive staff who were warm, welcoming and not intrusive at all. Cannot fault this place. Stayed in a romantic villa, not close to the main road so all I could hear was the sound of the sea. Taxi ride to Senggigi cost $20,000. Bemo ride if you find one on the main road is even cheaper $10,000 for two people! The restaurant serves both western and Indonesian food. Again can not fault the breakfast or dinner. Just a shame I had to go home. Hopefully next time!
