The receptionist was extremely warm and welcoming. We truly felt like guests. As this hotel is well off the beaten track, I don't think that many American visitors stay here. If you want to experience a small town/village environment, this is a perfect location. We had a bit of a challenge finding the hotel as the preferred exit from the autobahn was closed due to construction. We had to go to the next exit and circle back along a not so well marked detour. I suggest calling ahead to get specific directions from the autobahn if you are unfamiliar with the area. Thank goodness for the rental car GPS which was a great help winding our way through a few small villages to get to the hotel. Our departure was a slight challenge as well. We were advised that the entrance to the west bound autobahn was open; it was not. We simply headed eastbound on the autobahn to the next exit and reversed our direction. Turned out to be a very easy, straightforward detour.
