Stay at the Ramada regularly for work, cannot fault it. Very clean and tidy and service by ataff is great. Breakfast is brilliant with lots of vegetarian options. Location is very good for shops, restaurants and public transport.
Clean modern hotel occupying an excellent position on the front at Southport with easy access to Lord Street shopping area. Spacious underground car park at a reasonable price, excellent public areas including a large dining area. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful even though they were busy. Room had first class internet access, fridge and air conditioning.
Sunday night offer for a second time. Paid more than first visit but thought it was worth paying for. However very disappointing evening meal menu and inflexibility on choice without paying a supplement. Only £17.50 allowance towards a la carte menu which could get you a starter and salad or just a main course. Wine £17.50 allowance gets you house wine only. Offer of extra bread rolls never arrived. Six year old child running round the restaurant at 9pm - this isn't the staffs fault but it spoiled the dining experience. Good points: secure hotel parking £5 overnight
Stayed for two nights whilst at a conference for work, lovely comfortable rooms which are well equipped and are peaceful too, great friendly staff add to the experience as well, food is ok but overpriced for what you get and the bar is a typical expensive hotel bar, overall it's a great hotel and I will return in the future
Only bad point is being charged £5 per night to park in hotel car park. Room was very nice with two large beds. Comfortable mattresses, and the room was very clean. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of choice.
Very clean hotel, the bedrooms are finished to a good quality and always very, very clean, we have stayed there a few times, the views out of the windows of the Marine Lake are lovely and some rooms you can see Blackpool Tower from . It is just around the corner from the town centre or the beach.
Ideal spot for golfing/weekend/holiday retreat . Underground carpark a real bonus.Hotel staff especially helpful and friendly.A special mention must go to "Jamie" who waited on us in the dining room.Food and service very good. Rooms were magnificent.Would definitely stay here again.
This is the seventh time we have stayed here and it never fails to please . The staff are all fiendly the rooms are lovely and the breakfast is just great fresh well cooked and hot .we had a bar meal the second night and It was first class . This hotel is by far the best in Southport .we will be back PS the beds are comfortable a great sleep
We have been coming to the Ramada for many years We have always enjoyed ourselves We really love the hotel However, tonight we were very upset Sometimes the desserts can be rather dry I asked for one scoop of ice cream with my dessert The waitress came back and said that the Chef had said if I wanted a scoop of ice cream it would be £1 This is astonishing as we always spend a lot of money at the hotel Very very disappointing Really pathetic I think we will be looking for other more reasonable accommodation It was a scoop of ice cream not a bottle of Champagne Sorry but your Chef is incredibly mean- spirited!!
Just a little clean up of furnishing in public areas was our only negative.Location perfect.Staff welcoming and helpful.Prices in the bar competitive which is a bonus. Our stay included theatre tickets and our seats were very good.a very smooth trip.
