    Located on a sand beach on the South Shore of Little Cayman---close to town and restaurants---from the owners of the top rated Beachcombers Paradise (VRBO 568330) on Little Cayman --we introduce this completely renovated single story 3 bedroom, 2 bath private oceanfront home which has a luxurious master suite, fully equipped kitchen, all new furniture and screened seaside porch and patio. Much like to our Beachcombers Paradise house, this home is all about relaxation with oceanfront privacy and seclusion---yet plenty of adventures start footsteps away, The home sleeps 7---with a king sized bed in the luxurious and spacious master suite, queen sized beds in each of the 2 guest bedrooms and a futon sleeper sofa. ---Enjoy a 1/2 mile stretch of beach all to yourself--no neighbors within 1/4 mile. --Enjoy bone fishing inside the reef that begins at the water's edge seaside. ---Take the FREE Kayaks over to the South Hole, Owens Island and resorts. ---Fish the World Famous Tarpon Lake--the entrance is just a 50 yard walk from our driveway. ---Beach-comb on sand beach for miles to the east passing only a hand full of homes. ---Enjoy the sunrise across the sea and you drink your morning coffee or tea on the seaside screened porch. ---Relax on chaise lounges on the spacious 350 square ft. outdoor tiled seaside patio in the day time. ---Cocktail in the large seaside screened porch in the evening. Located about 1/4 mile east of the South Hole---there are no neighbors within 1/4 mile in either direction you head on the sand beach, yet this private home is still only about two miles from the restaurants, dive operators, grocery store and liquor store. Two FREE Kayaks included--paddle from the beach out front into the South Hole (1/4 mile away) and visit uninhabited Owens Island in the middle of South Hole for a picnic---then paddle over to Southern Cross Club or Little Cayman Beach Resort to have a drink or lunch before paddling back home--life jackets included. FREE WI-FI AND PHONE SERVICE: Rates include FREE Wi-Fi internet, local land line phone service and FREE Magic Jack phone service for FREE long distance to the US and Canada. Your friends, relatives and business associates back in the US or Canada can also call the house toll free from the US or Canada. LICENSED BY THE CAYMAN ISLANDS DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM (beginning 9/1/2018) and PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED AND MAINTAINED: This property is licensed as a class A tourist accommodation by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. Although we (the owners) handle all bookings, Tarpon Lake House is professionally maintained by Little Cayman Property Management which is owned and operated by Marc Pothier and his team. Marc has decades of resort and vacation property management experience in the Caribbean and has been the manager of the Paradise Villas resort on Little Cayman for the past 20 years. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by our team, checked into your rental vehicle and escorted to the house. On your departure you can be taken back to the airport if need be. Marc and his team are also on island and available 24/7 if and when needed. THE 'FRIENDLIEST' ISLAND: Little Cayman is best known for its diving, fishing, snorkeling, and internationally protected bird sanctuaries. Jacques Cousteau rated the Bloody Bay dive site on the north west end as his #3 Best Dive Site in the World! The Cayman Islands have also been rated as the friendliest place in the world to visit by Forbes Magazine. Little Cayman Island lies 85 miles east of Grand Cayman, 450 miles south of Miami and 120 miles south of Cuba. The weather from December through May is consistent and reliable, averaging to 80 to 85 degrees with nice island breezes. The island is only 1 mile wide and 10 miles long and is remarkably undeveloped and under populated. There are only 170 full time residents. LITTLE CAYMAN DIVING: There are four top notch dive operations with nice boats to choose from on Little Cayman. All are very good. Conch Club Divers is independent of any resort and enjoys good reviews. Pirate's Point, Southern Cross and Little Cayman Beach resort are the other dive operations. Reservations and advanced booking are recommended for all diving. Diving Highlights: 1. World famous Bloody Bay Wall Marine Park with magnificent wall diving. 2. Turtles, Spotted Eagle Rays, Reef Sharks, Nassau Groupers, Moray Eels, Stingrays, Schools of Horse-Eye Jacks, Barracuda, Seahorses and much more! 3. 100's of different hard and soft corals and over 500 types of fish. 4. Incredible visibility & usually 100 to 150 feet, with little or no current. 5. Warm water... Winter 78 to 80 (F), Summer 82 to 86 (F). TRANSPORTATION AND VEHICLE RENTAL: The home is located about 2 miles from the nearest restaurant and 2.5 miles from Blossom Village and the airport. Transportation from the airport on your arrival date and back to the airport on your departure date are included in the rates. You will need to rent scooters or a rental car for the rest of your stay----There is NO public transportation on Little Cayman---There are two car rental companies on Little Cayman Island: We recommend Little Cayman Car Rentals run by Carla Reid. Bruce Miller aka 'Scooter Bruce' of Scooten Scooters rents scooters and he delivers scooters to you. BICYCLE RENTAL: Email Marc Pothier for pricing and reservations. Delivery of bicycles to the house is available. FISHING: On a fishing charter, the catch could be tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, grouper, snapper, kingfish and the occasional sailfish depending on the season and what you’re targeting. Fly fishing for bonefish, tarpon, and permit in the shallow waters and inland brackish lakes is also popular. There are charters available for blue water-deep sea fishing as well as guides for fly fishing. Call or email Southern Cross Resort for information and reservations. RESTAURANTS: There are 4 good restaurants on the island, each associated with the five resorts on the island. Prices range from moderate: Hungry Iguana; and to expensive: Pirates' Point, Southern Cross and Little Cayman Beach Resort. GETTING THERE. You will first need to fly to Grand Cayman which most major carriers service. From Grand your only option is to take a 25 minute (90 mile) flight on Cayman Airways to Little Cayman. We recommend that you book a 2 hour layover on Grand so you can be sure to make the Cayman Airways flight to Little Cayman if your flight to Grand is delayed.     A GEM!

    My wife I took a short trip to Little Cayman not really knowing what to expect. This is was the relaxing get away we were looking for. The house is very nicely set up and can accommodate 6 people with zero trouble. The owner and island team get you prepared for island life and what you will need well in advance of arrival; food is the main item to really take care of in advance of landing. Sitting out on the deck was very relaxing, not a sound and the stars are amazing. The island has some great beaches, reefs for diving and snorkeling, and fishing; I will be prepared for fishing next visit. I highly recommend this property for families, friends or romantic get aways.

    Location! Location! Location!

    December 26, 2018 - January 4, 2019 was our first visit to Little Cayman... and decidedly not our last! Tarpon Lake House was lovely, the photos on HomeAway really don’t do the property justice! The entire home appeared to be fresh, and we understand this was not the case a short time ago. By all accounts, the property owner has spent a good amount of time getting the home in shape. The care and forethought put into the details are obvious. The home was clean, the furnishings we very nice, the linens were “just like home”. The kitchen is well equipped to make cooking easy. There was plenty of everything! Back to the subject of location, the view from the patio is amazing, to sit outside and watch the Sunrise was an activity our entire family enjoyed! The grounds in general were inviting, the arid gardens, full of succulents and flowering plants, truly a treat for the eyes! The proximity to the waters edge was fantastic! The location felt very secluded, however, a short trip was all it took to get to towns center. We also explored the island on a daily basis. We chose to rent scooters, that, for us was a good decision. We were looking to foster teamwork with our young adult family. The scooters seemed to do the trick. The guest resource book was extremely helpful, very detailed and all information was reliable. Thank you for your thorough summation and the ability to troubleshoot our potential needs. The guest book was a great idea! Mark the property manager super great guy! Mark was very kind and willing to assist as needed. No true negatives! All in all, fantastic experience!!!
