Be aware of this hotel with no sevice mind. Cheating and ruining a family vacation in Portugal! We booked 2 connecting rooms with double bed for family of 4adults (grandmom, couple, sister with a baby) got 4 nights. When we arrived the room was not double bed, So we changed a few times as all rooms are not accommodating our need and finallly changed to 1 suite even though 1 of us had to sleep in an extra bed, (which is by the way the worst bed i ever slept in my life) cause the manager (alexandra) told us the price difference is just minimal because changing from 2rooms to 1suite. The without mentioning the exact amount difference. We thought it would be about 20- 30% of our original room rate (100euro per room) and decided to take the suite. When we checked out i cat believe we were charged extra 100 euro per night. My family came all the way from different countries to enjoy the beautiful portgal and spend a family time, but the quality of service we received and the rip off extra charge ruined our vacation and also image of Portugal. I would never recommend this hotel which completely lacks of hospitality! Very upset and disgust with this deceiving hotel, just trying to rip off guests!!!!
I am a regular to this hotel and the reason is that it maintains a consistently high standard of customer service, cleanliness, food and general ambience. The breakfast buffet is superb and staff are very attentive. I always go for the balcony room which gets the sun most of the day and as the hotel is right on the seafront with the gentle sound of waves, there is no better hotel location for a relaxing few days away. My other favourite feature is the rooftop jacquizi and sun loungers. The view of Sessimbra castle nestling among the mountains is stunning, especially when lit up at night. The town is very smart, plenty of fish restaurants to choose from and also coffee shops are in abundance. There are also other nice beaches and areas of interest within a short drive. For a guaranteed relaxing weekend, you can't go wrong staying here.
Very nice hotel. Awesome location near the sea (in fact just across the street). Nice rooms, good breakfast, decent wi-fi connection. Customer attention and courtesy could be improved. Very few were courteous enough to greet, although we found that to change in relation to foreign tourists. Prices are increased for sea view and parking.
My wife and I had sent spent a week here 17/03/17. The Hotel is quite trendy, the rooms are adequate in size and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Oddly they do not change money in the hotel, which is unusual in my experience. Also there are no money exchange shops in Sesimbra. There are a number of cash points. We only had breakfast in the hotel, which was reasonable with a good selection, It would have been nice to have something other types of eggs, other than scrambled eggs. The hotel is very central and directly opposite the beach which is lovely. Sesimbra caters mainly for Portuguese people coming from Lisbon for the week end. Sesimbra is fairly small with little to do. There are no trendy bars, or loud music. The Portuguese restaurants we visited were not the friendliest places I have ever visited, the staff were in the main fairly brusque and catered mainly for fish eaters. If you are a steak lover, best not to go here. Before going here we were contacted by the holiday company to say there was some building work going on, we were dubious as we wanted a rest. We did not hear any noise whatsoever.
Placed just across the street from the beach make this place perfect for beach holidays. The rest of the amenities is very nice and well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and professional. However, the rooms are very small. I could barely sit at the desk because it's so close to the bed.... Parking may also become an issue....
Booked this hotel last minute to spend the new years eve in Sesimbra. Premium location, great rooms, amazing sea front and views. Just loved it, great value for money option. Breakfast on january 1st was a bit of a mayhem, every man for himself and food shortages. I saw a lot of people unhappy with this, and fairly so. I just went downstairs and had 5€ breakfast at a local cafe facing the beach. This was the only bad thing to note.
This is a fabulous hotel, perfectly located and had lovely staff. The room with the view was well worth the money. Local restaurants serve good food. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially the rooms with sea facing balconies.
We arrived in Sesimbra late afternoon and found the beach walk very appealing. We had had a couple of nights of not too comfortable lodging and heavy, chilly rain. The SANA at Sesimbra was such a nice treat. The staff was very pleasant, and gave us a slight discount as we were booking 2 rooms. The weather cleared and we enjoyed the sea view while sipping wine on our balcony. We didn't have a chance to sample the pool or soa, but they looked equally appealing. Best sleep all trip, on luxurious mattresses, listening to the waves.
Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast Buffet was the same every day, but considering it was included - I won't complain. Helped start the day! Location was right on the seafront. Some parking in front of the hotel, some underground. Be careful if you have a big car... it won't fit under the hotel! Rooms are decent size... don't bank on the fridge keeping your stuff cold (it turns off if you don't have the key in the slot). Beds were very comfy. Pool/jacuzzi were very nice!
This is a nice hotel just across the street from the beach. The dining and pool area staff were really helpful, nice, and fun. The front desk staff were fine but not as personable. The rooms are very small and you will hear festive party noises from the boardwalk till late at night. I would still recommend the sea view rooms, others views are really dismal. That said, with all the lovely decks on the top floor with spectacular views, a sunset visit is a must, who needs to spend much time in the room! The pool was beautiful and a nice temperature for a fall swim. The food was good. The parking garage is a nightmare, the automated ticket operated door does not work well, it is difficult to park in the cramped space. Someone hit our rental car and did not report it. I would like to stay here again with more time to explore the cute town and many restaurants.
