I normally stay at the Radisson Blu due to its proximity to the airport but decided to try staying downtown as I that where I go in any case for lunch and dinner. The taxi to the hotel is not expensive and the hotel is within walking distance of several of restaurants l frequent. The room was spacious and comfortable although, the view was not spectacular.(but that was not at all a priority). I was able to check in early. I did not have an opportunity to eat there or visit the bar but I'll do so when I stay there again. I do plan to return here on my next trip through town.

We had never stayed at a Eurostar hotel so we had no idea what to anticipate. The hotel is relatively new so everything was clean and in great condition. What made the visit standout was the staff. EVERYONE went out of their way to be friendly and make sure our stay was a good one. An example is I was trying to do something on my computer and could'nt. The bartender happened to be skilled on a computer and fixed my problem easily and wouldnt take a tip. Every question was answered with great suggestions on what to see during our visit

Very good option to stay in the center of Lisbon. Convenient location on a quiet street still next corner to the main avenue, restaurants and subway. Friendly staff ready to help. Not really a luxuary five star hotel but steady four stars.

This is a very nice hotel that makes the most of tight building and traffic spacing in Lisbon. The hotel was excellent. One experience was particularly interesting was parking. A tiny Main Street elevator takes you and your car down three floors to an underneath garage. We will go there again if we are in the area again.

This hotel was beautiful. The entry area and room were first class. This is a modern hotel inside. The rooms are decorated very modern with laminate floors and glass everywhere. There is no carpet in the room, which we thought was good. The beds were comfortable and the bath was nice, with both a shower and a tub. Best of all was the staff. They were there to make sure you were happy. They asked many times if all was OK and were helpful finding attractions and places to eat for us. The only thing we did not think was a bargain was the food. They really don't have a resturant, but a bar with some sandwiches. While they were made to order the prices were way to high. The service was fine but the food was way too expensive. Fifty five Euros for a cheese and ham sandwich, bowl of soup, two cokes and a wine was very high, even for a five star hotel. I'd stay there again.

I was looking forward to our stay at this hotel based on its great reviews! Although the location was great and the staff for the most part were helpful, my experience here was subpar. After our first night's stay, our room was cleaned the next day and our room key had been taken by the cleaning staff . We had turned the lights off but to prevent coming back to a hot and humid room, we left the key card in the outlet. That night we were given a replacement key and an apology. The next day we came back to our room after a long day of sightseeing, only to find our room door completely wide open. This was concerning not only because our property could have been stolen, but for safety reasons. And again our key had been taken from where we left it. I called the front desk and reported it. The man came up and checked the door to see if there was a problem with the door and there was none. I was told the manager would be notified immediately. We received no apology from management or this issue was not addressed with us at all. This would typically not fly at any other "supposed" 5 star hotel. Based on my experience here, I would not stay at this place again.

We spent 2 hours getting from the Algarve and 2 hours finding the hotel...beleive me it was worth the search. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff more than helpful. The room not only beautiful, but spotless and with lovely amenities (robes. slippers etc).[...], the bellman was also the bartender and he could do it all. He even recommended a local fish place down the street that was awesomeI would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

This Hotel was in a superb location..just a 5 min walk to the nearest metro..wonderful vegetarian friendly restaurant next door...Staff was extremely helpful in resolving a potentially disastrous travel mishap..Rooms clean and modern...

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The bathroom was one of the highlights of the room. The sauna is hardly worth a visit. It is way too small. The hotel is in walking distance to the city center, but be prepared to walk up the hill.

This hotel is the perfect combination of quality and value. I stayed in a standard room, which was on the smaller side, but still larger than most European hotels. The spacious bathroom included a tub and the shower had many features that I could not figure out, but the technologically savvy would probably enjoy. The room was very clean and the comfortable king bed was a surprise in a land of pseudo doubles (ie two twins). The reception staff was patient and helpful. When my room was not ready at check-in time, I received profuse apologies and offers of refreshments, even though the wait time would be five minutes. The hotel is slightly off of the main avenue, so itś quiet and you become part of the residential neighborhood with inhabitants who stand on their balconies and watch the people go by. If you enjoy walking, or will be taking taxis, the location is perfect. However, itś important to know that there is a fairly steep hill that separates the hotel from Avenida Liberdad and then about a ten minute walk to the Rossio and another 15-20 minutes to the waterfront. This is not a super luxurious five star hotel, but it is worth every penny of itś mid-range price.

The hotel is new, modern, quiet and in a great location. The staff speaks excellent English and was very helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing. WiFi in the room as well as computers in the lobby for guests. Wonderful beds with a choice of pillows!

nice location to everything, breakfast could be much better

The Eurostars Das Letras is an outstanding value. I selected it because of a very good experience with this chain in Barcelona. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very comfortable--modern, exceptionally clean, great fixtures. The food (breakfast) was also very good. Staff was very accomodating and pleasant. The hotel is about 1/2 mile from good restaurants, nightlife, monuments, etc. Travelers should be wary of taxis--some good, some dishonest. Overall, though, a very nice city and great hotel.

This hotel was great. The check-in staff were very friendly, the rooms very clean, very modern. It is a great value for a 5-Star Hotel. There is free internet access if you need it. We did not eat at the restaraunt, so I can't really comment. The location is quite close to the main Ave in Lisbon, its a 400 meter walk down hill to the main thoroughfare, but you have to walk up on your way back. My wife (21 weeks pregnant) and I considered it good exercise for the day.

sight seeing visit
