- Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Let's review... We drive to Limerick from Belfast and cannot find the "apartment" as there is no physical street address. Finally, we locate a woman who is standing on a corner and she proceeds to show us the way to "enter" the "apartment" (via a closed and unmarked entrance to a private parking garage - which you would never see unless led there). Of course, she cannot open the garage, but must instead speak to a "Jason" who opens the garage from a remote place. We head up to the 8th floor and into a spartan "apartment" that barely has a sliver of a view of the river (don't let the pic on the listing fool you - that is NOT the building and that is NOT the view). Before we are left with the keys, we are asked to pay an ADDITIONAL 5 pounds to "turn on the electricity (who the hell does this?). So let's just get into it - *The TV box took at least 15 minutes to actually come on. *The towels were stiff, unmatched, and looked like something from the dumpster *One of the beds had a mattress (no box springs) while the other (the one we tried to sleep in) was JUST THE DAMN BOXSPRING with a sheet over it! *The pillows were about a couple of inches thick *The extra pair of ladies lace underwear left under the bed was a nice touch (God knows who it belonged to) *Absolutely zero decorations on the walls in the living and sleeping areas In short, we paid $237 USD for a place that should not even been listed as an option on Expedia.
