Eurotel Lanaken - Different Hotels

My wife and I stayed only for two nights but we found that perhaps no other hotel would have come up to their standard of performance. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with good food and a homely feeling to it. But nit's the staff who excel in their efforts to please the guests. I have spent many a night in hotels in my working life all over the world, and have no hesitation to say that the best reception staff I have ever come across is here at the Eurotel Lanaken it certainly is a different hotel

Clean and comfortable room with friendly reception staff but lack of air conditioning in this price range is disappointing although the fan did help a bit. Extra charge for car parking cannot be justified in such a location 7km from Maastricht. Service in the restaurant was a little chaotic and focused on the large groups staying for Andre Rieu concerts at, I feel, the detriment of independent travellers. Food was ok but expensive - particularly the 30 euro charge pp for a bbq. Although there are other good eateries in Lanaken they are really beyond walking distance so if you want wine with your meal, you have to use the hotel restaurant.

The window in the room at top floor is nailed stuck (by purpose) with external plate and screws, which makes it impossible to escape through in case of a fire!! This can not possible be legal!? We adressed it to the front office but they did not respond with any action. The ypper window was also stopping at just 20cm because of a wooden blocking nailed to the window! Serious....

There is no air conditioning so the room was very warm and difficult to sleep at night. The breakfast was of poor quality on the first morning I was there, slightly better on the second but I was there earlier that morning. When I arrived on the evening the young man at reception was very helpful and efficient. I went to the restaurant for dinner but walked out having waited 30 minutes to order food. A large smart dining area but had few guests eating and still I was ignored I can only conclude the 2 of the 3 staff were new? I had to get a taxi into Maastricht there and back 40 euros simply to get fed! I felt it was OK place to stay but the restaurant needs attention and the breakfast was expensive for what it was.

Friendly staff very good breakfast and suggestionmenu - nice rooms Only 1 bigger problem and 1 small problem: the warmth in the rooms - airco recommended - tyres of bikes were flat and for 4 hours they count a whole day

We were very pleased with our stay. But although the hotel had a lot of free rooms they gave us a room with good quality but with the view on a roof and a wall. Per haps with the good price we had? The breakfast was great with tast y eggs and everything you can wish. The menu in the restaurant was ok with beautiful items but also things to improve like a warm aperosoup and not a rather cold one (there was time enough to make it right) and for me uneatable french fries. I know they Let you pay for the parking but we are both disabled perhaps they should Let us park for free as we do not have the possibility to park elswhere.

Outdated, unfriendly staff, and expensive for what it is. Bar closes at 11pm, no warm water in room and no solution proposed, ìnfrastructure is from the late 80's it seems. Our impression is thar they're just milking their customers for every dime - wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy

Had a one night stay here as I was attending a concert in Maastricht. Modern hotel with very friendly staff. Room was spacious and quiet. A very nice outside seating area where food and drink was served as well as a large indoor restaurant. As this was a concert package deal they were only serving a set menu which did not appeal to me. Breakfast was very good.

This hotel is located 2/3kms from the Lanaken townsite and, unfortunately, is a bit in the middle of nowhere. To stay here consider you definitely need a car for ease of getting around. Public transport is available a short walk away though. The rooms are extremely large with a separate ensuite containing both a bath and separate shower. They are more than adequately furnished and the rooms also have a safe for securing valuables. However the one down side is they do not have airconditioning although a fan is provided. This is not overly effective on warm days. It has a separate restaurant and bar area on the ground floor and you can also dine outside if you wish. The meals are of an extremely high quality but they are slightly on the high side price-wise. Suggest you also pay attention to what is NOT included in your tariff rather than what is. The level of service experienced from all staff was excellent and would gladly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is fairly "what you see is what you get": modern hotel, nice, big room with good TV and decent bathroom. Very popular with cyclists (like me!): bicycles can be locked up in garage. Team Cannondale and Topsport Vlaanderen stayed here during our weekend break too. Breakfast buffet worthy of a 5-star hotel. So far, so good. The exceptional thing about the hotel is the service, especially the young man on duty in the afternoon/evening. Very correct, very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. A true ambassador for this hotel. Will return!
