We booked the 4-person room via Booking. This room, with a separate entrance in the back of the hotel, was very new and beautiful. Only disadvantge was it was very hot in the room. They did provide a fan, but as the room has an 'entresol' (2 pers. bed downstairs, 2 single beds upstairs), the top floor has a low ceiling and is very hot. I doubt if the rest of the hotel is just as nice as this room, because we walked the hallway to the breakfastroom and it was very narrow, dark and smelled a bit damp/like people smoke in the room. Also it seemed a bit outdated. The breakfast was great, enough of everything - healthy bread, sweet bread, yoghurt, muesli, coffee, tea, milk, juices, fruit etcetera. Location is also very good, right in front of the train station and in walking distance of the city center and shopping mall.
The location of this hotel is great. All the main attractions are in walking distance. Also the staff is verry friendly and helpfull. However the rooms are small and the facilities are not that great. For example there is no air conditioning
The hotel was easy to travel to from Lille main station and was located opposite Gare de Lille Flandres. A great area for shopping, food, drinking and tourism. I booked a triple room and although there wasn’t much in the way of amenities, if you wanted anything, reception would happily provided it. The shower was not free standing, which was hard for one of guests to use. The room was warm and difficult to keep cool. We did have an issue with the safe for the first day of our stay, which was eventually resolved. Breakfast was a standard, minimal choice.
I stayed as part of a group and the room I was in (115) was big for a twin and quiet. The bathroom was large as well. Some of the other rooms were a bit small. Room 100 was accessed from round the corner but was big. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was good value.
Tiny room with just enough space to walk around the bed. Bathroom amenities complete but just on towel. Breakfast standard offering. Front desk staff pleasant but didn't know location of car rentals and sent me to street address listed by Hertz - nothing there. Turns out all the car rental offices are inside the station by track 2.
We stayed here for a short weekend break in Lille. The location opposite Lille Flandres Station could not be more convenient and the hotel staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was compact but well equipped and comfortable, excellent value in all respects. Breakfast was fine and there is no problem leaving bags with reception. We would definitely come back.
For what we wanted it was fine. The rooms were clean and warm and the staff were friendly. The twin room was small though with only just enough room to get two small bed and the TV didn't work property. As I said it did what was needed for xmas shopping.
I stayed in a single room overlooking the Main Street for a couple of nights at the end of July. My dad stayed in the room next door and it was handy being able to step out onto the balcony and talk to each other. Loved watching the hustle and bustle of the street below and when the Windows were closed it blocked out all the noise. This did mean that I couldn't get any fresh air as it was quite warm but at least there was a room fan. Bar fridge was handy. Comfortable bed. Good size and the shower was awesome. Not a lot of room for my case so had to put this on the bed to sort but plenty of room to stand it up by the bed when closed. Breakfast was nice and just enough. Plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby and perfect for both Train stations. Free WiFi was great. Would stay again.
stopped for one night during the euros. very convenient for both train stations and easy to find. room was clean and comfortable, lots of bars and restaurants nearby. would recommend to those looking for decent, cost effective lodgings in the city.
we loved Lille and this hotel was the perfect location. Room was clean, bed comfy! Only complaint was there was not curtain/shade on the skylight window so the room was very bright in am. Staff was great as they spoke English.
