Visit the Kauai Museum on Rice Street to experience indigenous life on the island. View the many exhibits housing artwork, pottery, textiles and informative videos. Also tour the Grove Farm Homestead, once a working sugar plantation.
Visitors must see the Wailua Waterfalls, located just five minutes from Lihue. The falls may be viewed from a lookout position just to the roadside near the falls. Although there is a hiking trail to the bottom of the falls, the path is slippery and visitors hike at their own risk.
