We were in Chicago for our sons graduation from Navy boot camp. The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast is one of the best continental breakfasts I have had. A big thanks to them for helping make our trip special.

I love staying in at Holiday Inn Expresses when I travel. They are generally clean, offer great breakfast and have friendly staff. This one was even better than expected and did not disappoint! Very happy with everything!

Stayed at this hotel for our sons graduation from Great Lakes Naval Base. Very clean! No stains, no odors, everything looks fresh. Not afraid to walk on the carpet barefooted! Mattress and pillows are like new. Very comfy beds! We had a King Suite and it was perfect for bringing our new Sailor back with us. Breakfast buffet was very good, very fresh and clean. Can't say enough about the front desk staff for their help with even the simplest thing. They arranged all of our taxis for us! They are so efficient and really go out of their way to help! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel for a quick trip. Beds and rooms were very comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was above average compared to others. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would for sure stay again and would recommend to anyone!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for our son's graduation from Navy bootcamp. It was a great choice. They provided a shuttle to and from the graduation. Our grandchildren enjoyed the heated indoor pool. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and updated. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The Holiday Inn is very clean and has a great selection for the breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Maraget at the front desk was very helpful with information on places to eat and visit. In the evening we stayed downstairs in the breakfast area and played games. All the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions. Another bonus was the free shuttle to the graduation ceremony at Naval Training Command Center. There is a safe in the room to place your valuables, however, that was a little late for me, as my jewelry was taken by TSA or people checking baggage. I will definitely recommend Holiday Inn Express for anyone planning on attending the graduation of your Navy graduate. If you plan on taking the shuttle to graduation, get on the list early (or call a few days before your arrive) to make sure there is space available for you. We stayed at this hotel for a navy graduation. Trinese and Amy (front desk staff) were super helpful and extremely friendly! They assisted with ordering a taxi from the airport to the hotel ($39 flat rate w/ American Taxi going and returning). The hotel also provides a shuttle to the naval base for those attending the graduation. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family that's planning to visit Chicago-- for the graduation or for leisure. One thing to note, the hotel did not have a microwave or refrigerator in the room. That would have been helpful for take out. Overall, great place to stay!

The room was very clean and cozy. It was the first time we took our kids on a trip that required a hotel and they had a blast. They loved the pool. We had to swim at least twice a day. I did notice that the towel area was out of towels most of the time we were there but that isn't a big deal. Great breakfast too!!! A good variety and something different everyday.

We stayed at this property 11/27 thru 11/30 th. The room was booked thru Expedia so we were informed by the hotel we could not obtain IHG rewards points. Really you accept money for a room through a third party but punish the guest for booking thru a third party for a lower price? Anyway, my story gets better. On the last morning we were woke up by the housekeeper vacuuming by the door...it was 9 am! I was very upset and told the front desk worker Amy but I decided to speak with the manager because I did not feel a "sorry" was enough. I did speak with Chad the manager on duty that day. He did listen to my complaint and reminded me housekeeping has to do their job and I reminded him I did understand that the housekeeping has to do their work but that early in the morning is totally unacceptable especially by my door! And especially since I had requested a late check out. He offered me IHG points (I was told we could not get points for this booking since it was thru Expedia hmm) I declined and suggested money be taken off my bill for that day and he granted me $40 off that days room fee. He was nice enough to offer ear plugs so i could try and go back to sleep but I declined, but I declare I should of took them. I get back to our room which is on th 3 rd floor- (they only have 3 floors). I managed to fall asleep but was woken up by the sound of heavy feet going back and forth over my head, a knocking sound from hell and a humming buzzing sound that reminded me of a helicopter on pause button outside of my window. I was let's say "pissed off". I called the front desk and spoke with Amy...poor child did not have a chance...I asked her if there were workers on the roof and she informed me that there were workers on the roof repairing it. Really! Really! and I was just complained about being awakened by housekeeping! I was in orbit by that time. Unfortunately, I did hang up on Amy but apologized before I left. I wanted the manager Chad to come and hear the noise in our room but he never came nor did he send someone else up to our room. During that time waiting for the manager our phone in the room rang twice..wait for it.. I could not hear them and the caller could not hear me! So I went down to the front desk. The sales manager, front desk worker and I guess the housekeeping supervisor were there. Yessenia the sales manager apologized and gave me 10000 IHG points . I told her I apreciated her helping us but in they should tell future guests that you are repairing the hotel roof. Give them a choice if they want to stay on the third floor and if they do decide to stay on the third while repairs are being made then that's on the guest. But I didn't get a choice. So just when you think that nightmare was over. When we went outside to put our bags in the car there was debris on the front of my car from the roof that was thrown off by the worker. I was absolutely livid!! I had to get it together before I went back in the hotel. I spoke to Yessina again and took her outside to see my car she was horrified. We looked over my car and I asked to have my car washed which she made happen for me. She took me to a car wash and paid for it and apologized again. I normally don't write such long reviews but this one I had to write the full story. I literally had to leave the hotel ealier than expected. I never did get to speak to the Chad the manager again. This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn in years not sure I will be back!!

We were in a bind because the hotel we originally booked at didn't have the type of room we were promised. From the moment we checked into the Holiday Inn Express, we knew our trip had taken a turn for a better. The woman at the desk was wonderful, warm, friendly and professional. She gave us the ideal room for our circumstances. (She situated us near the side door and on the first floor.) This lovely woman at the desk also let us play bridge in the dining room, gave us a pitcher of ice water and made me a fresh pot of decaf. The room was huge and very nice. There were 2 beds (as requested) and a large sitting area, which was a bonus. The breakfast was great. Check in and check out were a breeze. The hotel is in a good location, too, very close to a nice shopping mall.
