    Convenience with a Historic Feel

Our room was in one of the cottages on the hill across the street from the main hotel. It was very convenient since we had pets with us. We had dinner and breakfast in the main building and it has a much nicer atmosphere. The hotel staff were friendly and addressed any concerns we had during our stay. This hotel is pet friendly and directly across from the Natural Bridge State Park which was a nice bonus! Rates were very reasonable in February. The area around the hotel is mostly residential and the attractions we saw along the highway looked pretty rough. We did stop by the Halycon Cider Co which we would definitely recommend while in town.

Can’t believe you recommended this hotel

Upon check in we were told the boiler was broken in the main hotel. We were put in a downgraded room in an adjacent building. Trash was on the ground around the building. The tv card on the table showed many channels but one you cut it on you could only get thirteen of which five or six were news. The tub was full of previous occupants hair and a razor cover. Very displeased and cannot believe your site recommended this hotel.

    Natural Bridge

I loved the hotel. It could use some upgrades but the location and history make it worth the trip. The room was spacious and comfortable.

I was a bit daunted reading the reviews but I really wanted to stay at this historic hotel so I called ahead of time with my qualms and Josh the manager gave me the best room in the house. It was beautiful. The whole third floor was hot and stuffy but we opened our window which immediately helped. The only thing I would request is the addition of a soap dish in the shower so guests don't have to place their toiletries on the floor. Otherwise the room was perfect for our needs! Staff was courteous. It was a lovely stay and the Natural Bridge was breathtaking. Don't miss the light and sound show on the 7 Days of Creation. It's the longest running light show in the US since it was opened by President Calvin Coolidge in 1927!
